Nova froze, heart hammering painfully as she waited for shouts, kicks or the screaming pain which came with her prisoner collar being activated. There were several people in the room at least, and she had landed right in front of two of them.
It was all over. More than anything else she felt like she’d let Karina down. One way or another the old woman was bound to be found now, and found soon.
