Chapter Eleven Krista made an easy dinner of store-bought lasagna, feeling as mechanical as JT had acted his first day here. The rain continued outside, heavier now, adding to her low mood. As she took the food from the oven she cursed herself again for falling in love with JT. She even tried to convince herself she wasn’t in love with him. After all, how could she have fallen for a guy—one from another planet no less—in only a few days? But hadn’t she learned more about and more from JT in this short time than she had learned from other men in a month or even a year? Hadn’t he affected her deep inside where no one had been before? A tossed green salad complemented the meal, and Krista was just pouring two glasses of water when JT came out. She set the pitcher of cold water on the table
