Prologue: "From Warrior to Fallen"
"Hanniel, you mustn't allow yourself to be drawn in by God's creations," Engel, an elder angel, spoke with slight annoyance, as my bare feet gently scraped against the soft grass of Heavens' courtyard as I bit my bottom while I peeked towards the glittering gates as Engel moved into my way as I huffed gently, blowing loose bangs from my bright green eyes.
"Oh, please, Engel." I laughed as I side-stepped her and took a step closer as she glared towards me. "You know, that I'm not idiotic enough to actually go down there, right?" I slightly scoffed feeling my cheeks gently heat up at the mere thought of actually getting to leave this... This home-like prison. Suddenly, Engel scoffed and appeared in front of me, thus making me jump back and fluff up my bright white wings as I sent a small glare towards her. Right... Angels can hear other angels' thoughts.
"If you think of this place a prison, then why did you become God's most loyal and favorable warrior? Why not become a Grounder or even a Fallen!" Engel snapped, as I slightly gapped at her sudden anger as I snarled gently and moved closer, pressing my index finger against her chest as she widened her brown orbs. "Well, I'm sorry that I was practically wired to be the perfect soldier in heaven! And you know what, you're right! Maybe, I should just become a Fallen, like that's so easy!" I bit back while clenching my hands into fists while flushing my wings back into my slightly arched back.
Engel gently sighed, brushing her slightly wilted hand over her face as I eased away from my angered state and relaxed my facial features as she wetted her thin lips with the tip of her tongue before moving closer and lowering her voice- oh, this must be good...
"You're the first angel in decades to learn of your soulmates existence, correct?" She whispered as I pursed my lips and nodded my head gently, a few dark brown bangs falling into my forest eyes. "Well, I don't see why you cannot go down to Earth for a few... Moments and see if you can find him." As she moved away, I couldn't contain myself as I wrapped my arms tightly around her neck and giving a gentle squeeze, while whispering into her skin, "thank you."
Once, we untangled ourselves from each other I smiled towards her as she looked over her shoulder to make sure no one was watching as I bit my lip and moved towards the towering, golden gates as they gently glittered in the soft sunlight from above me.
I looked over my shoulder as she waved a hand towards me, the sudden feeling of... Defiance hitting my chest like a sudden rock. Swallowing thickly, I closed my eyes and brushed my fingertips against the somewhat warm metal as I pushed it open- the gates just barely creaking as I stuck out one foot, which was quickly followed by my other as I stood outside the gates- suddenly, a large breeze swept past my face as I snapped open my eye and saw the gates were now slammed shut.
"Well... Guess there's no going-" I started to whisper, just as the ground below my bare feet suddenly gave out and I felt the heavy air rush around my body, my eyes widen in fear as I flipped over to face the Earth that was quickly hurdling itself towards me.
"No, no, no, no." I continued to whisper as I tried to slow myself, but I couldn't even focus on opening my wings as the force and the way of the winds bending around my petite body seemed to hold my wings pressed against my back tightly. "Ah! No, please, no!" I shouted over the howling winds that whistled loudly in my ears as blood rushed through them.
I spun in circles as I tried to focus on opening my wings, or even using my Grace yet everything seemed so drained as I spin back around to see the Earth was not as hazy as before. 'No, God please hear me!' I thought while trying to focus more.
The Earth seemed suddenly closer, as I went wide-eyed and threw my arms in front of me as I tried to shelter my face from the loud, ear-busting slam into the rock that was inhabited by Gods' creations. Just as the dirt around my body piled, and the small rocks that stood there cut into my arms and body as my head lolled to the side- signaling that... Well, that I've become a Fallen.
-Sometime before Hanniel fell-
"So.. You say that you wish to feel nothing anymore? That you've been broken for the last time?" The she-devil smirked as her eyes went from a dusty brown to a bright, blood red. I swallowed thickly as I gave a simple nod as I shifted my weight between my feet while clenching my hands in my denim jackets' pockets.
The smirk playing on her lips grew as she moved closer, her glossy black heels glaring in the moonlight as the tight black cocktail dress hugged her curves more, the bright blonde hair easily flushed against the night sky. "You get only five years, I mean the deal you're making here is pathetic." She grinned as I frowned towards her before reverting my eyes towards the loose gravel beneath our feet. "You'll feel nothing for those five years, and there's no way in wiggling out so don't try." She gently hissed.
"Just give me a damn kiss." I hissed while taking a step closer, and grabbing onto her wrist before pulling her into a teeth-clattering, slight lip bruising kiss as I pushed her away and stumbled back some while taking my denim jackets' sleeve and roughly wiping at my lips.
While smoothing out the dress, she craned her neck and smiled before bowing her head slightly. "Nice doing business with you, Mr. Smith... Maybe next time don't try to make me want to stay." And with that... She was gone.
