Chapter 5

Nikko's POV:

Brody and I just got back to the packhouse I was fidgeting the whole ride. He asked me to move in with him and become his Luna like come on anyone else would be really nervous too I did just meet him two days ago. Now we have to somehow explain to my family how I'm mated to the most influential supernatural creature there is. For Goddess sake, he is the King of all supernatural beings.

I walk behind him slowly as he opens the door for me to walk in I whisper a thank you to him and he goes and grabs my hand leaning down next to my ear.

"It's okay baby boy we have each other and no matter what they say I will be bringing you with me." He whispers gently intertwining our fingers together.

I nod in response and we walk up to my father's office and I try to put up a brave face as we enter the room.

"Why King Brody what a pleasure to see you again I thought you would have been headed home by now." my father says as we sit down.

"I would've been headed home by now but luckily I found my mate." He smiles largely.

"Congratulations to you! I'm hoping it is to my beautiful daughter Emily I know you may have not wanted to be all on top of each other in front of my presence." He smiles back and slightly glares at me.

"No, Alpha Evans I'm not mated to your daughter I am mated to your son." He holds my hand tighter and rubs soft circles on the back of my hand feeling how nervous and worried I am through the bond.

"W-What my son. It can't be he is promised to wed the daughter of the Red Moon packs Alpha Becky O'Brien." He stammers out.

"YOU DID WHAT FATHER!" I stand up and start yelling annoyed he went behind my back and set up this mating ritual without my permission even though I would never have agreed in the first place.

"Watch your tone boy I am still your father and your alpha" he seethes in anger at my outburst not wanting to make a scene in front of Brody.

"I'm sorry Alpha Evans but you will not be giving my MATE to her we have already completed the mating ceremony and I plan on taking him back to my home and making him my Luna." Brody calmly says as he pulls me into his lap to hold me so I calm down.

I relax in his arms trying not to moan to his touch. Chase purrs in my head happily at our mate's touch and affection.

"With all due respect your majesty there has never been a male Luna it has always been a female and I implore you to reject him and take my daughter as your mate." He folds his hands leaning back in his chair.

"No, I will not reject my mate because of your archaic views. I believe that Nikki will become a great powerful Luna and help make a change in this world." Brody shifts slightly.

"I forbid him from leaving!" Alpha Evans stands up trying to show dominance.

Brody carefully gets up still keeping me close to him "You can do no such thing I outrank you Alpha do not disrespect me or I will become your worst enemy." He takes my hand and we leave my father's office going to my bedroom.

When we enter my room he closes the door and locks it then immediately turns around embracing me into a tight hug and I hug him back just as tightly.

"I'm sorry Nikki I that I spoke to your father so rudely. Just him thinking he was going to try to take you away from me got Zane all riled up." He nuzzles his nose into my neck inhaling my scent.

"Shhh, It's okay Brody. He has never understood me or loved me for who I was and always tried to get me to claim someone who wasn't my mate. That's why I never told him I was interested in men." I rub his back softly trying to calm him down as much as possible.

"I'm going to call Andy real quick so he can send some trucks so we can pack your things up and go to our home" Brody smiles down at me and gives me a quick peck on the lips before stepping out to call his Beta.

I collapse on my bed and sigh closing my eyes.

"Chase, do you think we are going too fast with our mate?"

"No, I think we are going in the best direction the Moon Goddess has set for us. In the long run, we will be happier with our mate than being stuck here."

"You are right I'm just nervous I've seen so many pictures of him and fantasized every time he was on TV that I just can't believe the man I have had a crush on since I was 13 ended up being my mate."

"I know it still amazes me we lucked out so much" Chase yips in my head.

I feel my bed dip and big arms wrap around me I snuggle up to his chest inhaling his scent and purring slightly. He holds me close.

"Baby boy why don't you take a nap I'm not going anywhere and I will be here when you wake up." He caresses my back softly.

I nod and yawn softly falling asleep in his arms.

~ 3 hours Later ~

I start to wake up slowly feeling so comfortable snuggling further into the warmth of this pillow. I start to slowly realize it's Brody and open my eyes seeing that he fell asleep I smile softly looking at how peaceful he looks. I start to slowly trace his jawline not wanting to wake him up.

"It's not nice to stare baby boy." Brody opens his green eyes and I smile softly at him.

"How are you sleepy head?" He caresses my cheek and I lean into his hand.

"I'm better seeing that you are still here" I close my eyes loving the feeling of us being close.

"I can't agree more" His phone vibrates and he checks it really quickly.

"Baby boy, Andy is here and a couple of my men to help pack up your things." He gets up slowly bringing me with him and holds my hand as we walk downstairs to meet his Beta.

He immediately gives Andy a bro hug. I look at him and he isn't as attractive as Brody. He has sandy brown hair, shorter than Brody but still taller than me, isn't as toned as Brody, he is wearing a regular T-shirt and jeans with a pair of vans.

"Andy meets my mate Nikki" He smiles proudly as he says it.

Andy puts his hand out for me to shake it "It is a pleasure to meet you, Nikki."

"Pleasure to meet you too" I shake his hand and go closer to Brody.

"Just have everyone carefully pack up all his things but the furniture and do not break his gaming stuff or I will get an earful," Brody tells Andy and chuckles.

I slap him on the shoulder playfully and watch as his men head for my room.

"Um, Nikko?" Chase says trying to get my attention.

"Yes?"

"What about your secret stash of pictures you have of our mate" he chuckles at me slightly.

My eyes widen and run using my super speed I don't generally use to get to my room seeing Brodys men with the box I have all the pictures in.

"Wait don't touch that I need to hold on to that." I stumble as I go to reach for the box.

The unnamed man hands it to me "Don't worry about it here you go and by the way my name is Rick." He smiles at me.

"Thank you, Rick please don't tell the King about this box" I nod at him.

"It's our little secret" He winks at me and goes back to work.

I quickly shove the box into my school backpack and I walk out the door and end up bumping into Brody.

"Hey sweetie why did you just bolt like that?" He looks strangely at me.

"N-No reason I just remembered I had a project to do that was due tomorrow." I try and make it so he doesn't know I was lying.

He nods letting it go and we walk back downstairs to meet up with Andy. We all sit down in the living room and I set my backpack down before Brody pulls me into his lap and I immediately relax and start to get flustered hiding my face in Brody's neck.

"Brody big is your house?" I look up at him my face still flushed.

"The main house is pretty big but where you and I live in a smaller 3 bedroom house and room to add more onto it." He smiles down at me slowly moving my hair out of my eyes.

I nod smiling softly back at him. I say I love you in our mate link and he says it back I feel like we are the only two people in the room.

Andy coughs and gets our attention "Brody they have everything packed up and ready to go."

"Okay we will meet you at the house I know Nikki needs to say goodbye to his mom" He gets up after letting me get up and does some weird long handshake with Andy before leaving.

I say my goodbyes to my mom and Brody and I head out to his house I'm sitting in his passenger seat holding his hand as someone took my mustang before we left. The ride is full of silence but a comfortable silence and I'm so happy that this is the man I am with.
