Chloe had to do a double take when she spotted David storming her way in the hallway like a raging bull after her class. A class he should have attended but hadn’t.
Chloe couldn’t remember if David had ever missed a class since they started their course. She had actually been dreading facing him, but had been pleasantly surprised and relieved when she noticed he wasn’t in class.
That relief was now gone as she watched him come towards her. His black t-shirt had a stretched neck and was all wrinkled up around his chest. Chloe also noticed the clenched hands on his sides as well.
And she wasn’t the only one. Other students got out of his way and gave him curious gazes. The few that had been in the process of leaving the building suddenly stalled, clearly hoping to catch some gossip.
