CHAPTER FIVE

The morning was quite and peaceful. Birds chirping, branches swinging. The sky clear and bright of no darkness, professing a promising day full of life. Sapphire stretched her hands wide open while soporifically rising up from the bed with squint-eyed.

"Morning, it a peaceful and glorious day!!!" Matthew screamed to her face as he rushed into her room without warning. He was so happy that she's here, in the same house as he.

"Hey ! Hope you did sleep well or slept ?" he asked cheerfully.

He asked again but no response came.

Why is she frozen ? Did l ask a wrong question? Why is she acting this cold towards me. Mathew thought. Matthew ambulated round her observing if she would moving but instead she collapsed on the ground after he noticed tears streaming down her cheeks as rain drop.

Matthew got scared and all he could shout was his mother's name for help.

"Mom !!! Helo!! Sapphire you've got to get hold of yourself. Mom !! Hurry," Matthew kept screaming and hitting his palm on the floor.

After few minute; the mom rushed to where her name was been called, she was shocked.

She instantly understood what's happening, Mrs. May carried Sapphire and placed her on the bed. She ordered Matthew to get her a bowl and a towel.

"I..iii...s she gonna be alright ?" Matthew stammered.

"Yes, so please get me what l just asked for." Mrs. May reminded and stared daggers into her sons eyes.

"Sorry mom, just scared and concern." Matthew expressed.

"If you really do, you wouldn't still be here you know." the mom replied and focused on Sapphire who was burning up really bad.

In a flash Matthew returned with what was requested by his mom.

"What can l do to help?" Matthew pleaded sincerely.

"Umm.... Well, you can just start by keeping quite."

The mom replied whilst applying the wet towel on Sapphire 's forehead. Gradually her temperature was dropping━one could tell she 'd be on her feet in no distance time.

"What ! That's not helping." he said pissed.

"Well, as you can see she doesn't need anything other than rest and some quiteness . It was your yelling and disturbance that caused all of this. If you had just obeyed, this wouldn't have happened. You said no! That she has been asleep in the hospital for months and all she needs now is all day long━eyes wide open. Are you now happy ?" Mrs. May mocked.

"Come on! You know l didn't mean for any of this to happen━but the devil just made it happen." Matthew said gently.

"The devil is right behind you right now━l pray he knocks some serious conscience in you." Mrs. May teased.

"Are seriously say that! The devil is to scared to come anywhere close to my shadow. It will die if it touches anything that is mine." Matthew verbalized with a cracky tune.

"Is that so? Fine then, why don't you explain to me the horns that your shadow posses━for your neither wearing any horn nor any material on your head." Mrs. May explained.

Matthew shivering, he tried to control it not to be noticed by his mom.

As he tried walking, Sapphires loosed shoe lace wrapped his left leg and he gave up.

"Help! Let go of me right this second you dirty black bamboo." Matthew kept screaming for help instead of helping, his mom and Sapphire roared in laughter as Matthew turned red as tomatoes, his heart burning like lightning stroke of chilling pepper.

Mrs. May was still laughing when she noticed she wasn't the only one laughing. She turned and caught the once saw log laughing.

Matthew who was battling with his demon lace initiated that he was looking for something beneath the bed.

"Who is Samphire?" Sapphire asked all worked up.

Matthew looked at his mom shocked and awed.

Should l tell her ? What if l do and she decides to go home━but if she do go home I'd never see her ever again. The investigation says it was a mistake but still l feel they were all murdered.

Matthew was lost in his thought. His mother doesn't have an idea about who the person was. All Matthew told her was that her family were accidentally killed by general Patrick Edward.

"Guys!!! I'm waiting who is Samphire? How come l know about him, we spent alot of our childhood together━we seem very close, he usually wake me up the way Matthew did. Will l ever remember who l was, who are the people that raised me; that if my parents didn't have the opportunity to do so. Matt... Matthew please if you know anything and l.mean anything about me tell me please━it will trigger back my memory l bet it would, so please help my broken self." Sapphire pleaded nonchalantly.

"Sweetie, you've got to take things easy and slow. After few weeks with us nothing triggered your memory, so how sure are you that anything Matthew will tell you would?" May asked concerned.

"Please ma 'am, at least let give it a try." she pleaded the more not to be denied her identity.

"l spent months in the hospital before l regain consciousness, all thanks to God. If it were the doctor they were giving up on me gradually l just knew it. I'm know God allowed me to be alive to fulfill a purpose, so please guys: don't waste the time I've been given." she was persuasive and there's no other way than to grant her request.

Matthew told her who her parents were, the kinder girl he knew her to be in school. Her two friends Benita who do call Benny and Ben Mollie.

They have been in and out the hospital until Mrs. May told them they will be taking her to Paris where she base━despite that, they have been calling non stop to ensure their best friend is doing well.

Matthew left no detail untold━he also didn't left out the part that he wanted her to stay.

"Thank you so much Matthew, I'm really glad you know this little and shared it with me, this will go a long way. One thing l did picked from all you've said is that━my parents and brother were not accidentally killed but intentionally killed; it was so well carved that no one noticed it to be so. The annoying part of this is that, I'm sure those that did know it wasn't accidentally were paid to shut their mouth. It hurt but I've got to do this. Or didn't anyone die since the incident occured?" she inquired with so much interest and zeal.

Matthew shared a glance with his mom, his mom waved her hands for him to answer her question.

"Don't get me wrong Sapphire, but I'm curious. What would you do with all this information?" he asked worried.

"I think my days of sleeping are over, it time to arise Matthew━rising l shall. Can you believe l never saw my family corpses, they were all buried without me being there. Is it right?" she replied him teary-eyed.

"I'm so sorry , Sapphi, but you know why you couldn't, you should count yourself lucky you know."

Sapphire fired Matthew a stare of fire and brimstone, all he could do was shiver in silence.

May has been studying Sapphire for all the while she was asking all those questions━she could see, there's no stopping her and all she could finally say, was for Sapphire to tell her where she needs her help. Sapphire wasted no time at all━she requested for all the seven officers that wereon duty that day, their plate numbers and locations. She also wanted information concerning the people Matthew said she had a crash with them. Of course the two officers who died, one month after the incident of her family occured.

"When l know all this, I'll know what step to take from there. The best part is l don't know who l am, from all this; l might eventually find out. Thank you to both of you for doing this." Sapphire said vivaciously.

"Since you followed us here, you've never been this happy. You want to find those bad guys but how and,with what skills." May asked with all sincerity.

Matthew nodded in support of the question his mom asked.

"Well, it turns out the man Samphire and I do fight is my dad, the picture Matthew showed me on the Internet proves that. My dad thought us how to fight. The minutes l was blank, through Matthew's action, l had a little memory flash back into me. I need to go home, maybe being there might bring some more memories." Sapphire suggested.

"But you just said your family were internationally murdered, don't you think going back to San Francisco is dangerous?" Matthew asked scared.

"His right Sapphire, I'll do the investigation and bring this case to justice." May adviced.

But as she observed, Sapphire had made up her mind. After several attempt with no good result of success━they concord to let her go.

"But on one condition." May said.

"you'll have to train with three good fighters and it includes me. If the four of us see fit that your prepared, then and only then will l allow you." May stated her condition. She was expecting Sapphire to back down━to her greatest surprise Sapphire accepted the condition. She even hugged her cheerfull for being such a brilliant uniform personal.

Sapphire left her room after cleaning herself up, she ambulated down stairs for breakfast. She was hummingbird through out her breakfast. She couldn't wait to finish her training and go home.

Will l ever remember is now in the past, I will remember is the present. What I'd do after well equipped for my task. My enemies will be in serious trouble. Swimming in the ocean of their sins.

Sapphire lost in thought, smiles written all over her face. She knew she is mad with excitement but she couldn't just hide it.
