The cold night air slapped her face and sent rocking shivers down her spine as she ran through a maze. She didn't know where she was, there were trees and bushes everywhere that she couldn't tell one place apart from the other, everywhere looked the same and she just couldn't believe that she had lived here for two weeks.
Where the hell am I
She thought as she sought for a path to a road that could lead her to a bus station or something, but didn't find any.
No this could not be happening, she needed to get home, to see her mum again and ask her questions about aunt Martha, she was desperate to leave, why wouldn't she? When everything had been a lie, everyone she had met in this cursed town lied through their teeth and watched her fall for their lies, they were heartless group of monsters and they had betrayed her trust the worst way anyone could.
A lone tear streaked down her face as she slowed down her race to get some air and then she thought of little Beth, could the girl also have lied she thought as she remembered their encounters.
No, she was the only one who was honest enough to let some facets of truth slip from her. She looked around as Beth's words rang in her ears.
Yes, there was only death and war coming for the town and she had to get out.
And she would do so no matter what it takes, she wasn't going to go back to that dreaded house and become whatever type of treasured protected prize they wanted her to be, because she have decided to live freely and no one was going to get in her way.
As if in disagreement with her plight, a raging thunder volt that seemed to shake the ground struck and the clouds began to darken.
Her instant reaction was fear, fear of failure, fear of being trapped in this cursed place with no means of being saved. Tears immediately gathered in her eyes and fell as she let out the frustration which she had held in for a long time, but she had made a promise to herself and she was going to fulfill it whether the gods wanted it or not.
A second bolt went through the sky and the wind roared as the sky got darker, A drop of rain fell on her palm and her tears increased as she thought of the block the weather condition would cause her, but she gripped her suit case harder and burst out running as rain began to pour down trusting her faith and instincts that she was running towards freedom.

The hallway was dark and silent as a footstep echoed through it while a shadows reflection moved on the walls.
The door to the Hall Of All burst open as Silas walked in.
The Hall was deserted, he noted. And the lady was seated on a sit looking out the window with a hunched shoulder and tired face.
Just who exactly was this Matilda girl and what was her worth that the queen of the Covens was willing to risk the peace between the DuPont sisters to keep her?
" Any news Silas" she asked in a tired worn voice. Never before has he seen her in this state, she always had her head held high even when the world was drowning.
" The girl has been sighted my lady " His reply brought her to her feet and she turned towards him. He could see it, the glimpse of light that represented hope in the depth of her eyes.
" Where is she "
" Am afraid to say this my lady but the girl has gone and gotten into a dragons den "
" Do not speak in riddles, Silas "
" She was sighted off the coast of the Covens near the in between "
He watched as all hope and light left her eyes and her body sagged on the nearest sit.
" My lady " he called out rushing towards her for help.
" Find her " She said in a weak voice " Please "
His feet got rooted to a spot as he watched her plead with everything she had. The DuPont's were known for their pride but this right here was a prideless DuPont pleading for help, and it was his duty to serve her.
" Of course my lady " He replied with a bow and set out to carry out his task.

The dungeons where dark and smelt of rotten flesh and damp air. She was chained to the wall with large iron chains to restrict her from moving and the cold floor sent rocking shivers down her spine which caused her teeth to quake.
To hell with Avan she thought, and Doel be damned. The quirky feeling of the dungeon was enough to give her a roll of neuseea but nothing was to compare to the feeling of the cold slowly sipping into her body sending rocks of shivers down her spine.
" what was it all for " she asked herself as the shivers threatened to take control of her body.
What was it all for, she thought as she thought of how she had spent all her life listening to a whisper and carrying out a task that was never hers in the first place.
A cold sell and a rotten dungeon
That was what she got. " Are you happy now " she shouted hysterically as her teeth made shattering sounds.
" You're done ruining my life " she muttered as she fell to the ground and tried to curl into a ball the best her chains could let her.
What was it all for, she asked herself one last time.
" Probably gonna die like this " she muttered before her eyes went shot.

The night got more darker and dark fogs covered her sight as she ran with all her might, the men who chased after her with dogs were almost right behind her and she had little chance of escaping.
The rain splattered down making her plight more difficult.
Please, she begged the gods for help as she ran faster than she had ever done all her life.
A search dog pulled free of its leach and went straight at her.
A scream ripped from her as it all flashed fast before her eyes. The guard called for the dog and went after but lost his footing and fell.
The dog ran towards her and jumped as she took in its features.
Long nails, deadly hungry red eyes and elongated canines.
But its jump stopped midair as it seemed to hit an invisible barrier and she watched it's eyes turn from hungry to painful. It fell on its behind and howled in pain as it scratched its face as if trying to get something out of it, that was when she realized that she had stopped screaming and was standing face to face to the man whose name should be Silas while some of the men carried the dog away.
" Inform the lady of the changes " he instructed his men as he looked straight into her eyes " She should know that she is a lost cause "
She didn't know why but she felt as if the" she " in question was her.
" But the lady ordered ..... " a man began to speak but was cut short.
" She is in their territory now " he fired " we can't do anything now "
What?
What territory ? She asked herself as she also pondered the reason why the men suddenly stopped chasing her even though they were within touching distance.
" Have lady Martha know that " he ordered before letting his gaze drop from hers.
The very mention of aunt Martha's name made her feel more betrayed as she took in the view before her.
So her aunt Martha had sent these men after her. She was done standing here hearing trash she thought as she turned around to continue her race but instead found herself falling into a depth she never knew was in existence.
The last thing that was heard from her was her screams.
