DAMEN'S POV:

My family and I make our way to Clyde's office."It's time we talk" I tell Lucy. I'm not sure where to start I say.

"We had one of the strongest packs Lucy. As a baby you shifted into your wolf which isn't seen too often. It means you are a very powerful werewolf. At a few days old our land and our people were over run by rogues and dead ones. Your mom and I did the only thing we could think of. Your mom picked you up in her mouth and carried you as we ran through the woods. My beta mind linked me telling me some of the rogues took off after us. Through our mind link we heard our pack getting slaughtered. My beta told us they were looking for the pup born to the alpha. We ran until we came to Kat's cabin. She was a friend of the pack. We heard the rogues getting closer as we stopped to hide you in a snow bank at the cabin door. Kat opened the door and your mom told her to mask your cent and protect you until the time comes for you to be who you are destined to be."

"Mom you've always known kat and her family?" Lucy asks. i can see the emotion flickering in her eyes. "Wait everything you just said I dreamt a few nights before my birthday It was a memory." I see the pain and confusion on her face.

"Kat promised to keep you safe and to mask your memories until it was time for your change. We lost sixteen years with you and we know we couldn't lose you back then like we lost our pack. I know we cant make up for the sixteen years that we lost but, we're not losing anymore time with you. We rebuilt our pack and have a house not too far from here. Your mom's been the only one here with you because I've been training the pack and your brothers.' I say to her. "We gave you to our friend to protect you. Meanwhile we didn't know her husband was a traitor.. When he found out Kat was caring for you he made a deal that if he handed you over to them he'd have a pack to call his own. He'd become the alpha to the rogues and dead ones. We have a huge fight ahead of us and alot of preparing to do my dearest daughter. It's time for you to become one with Cadence." i tell her.

"I have brothers" she asks with trembling hands."When do i start training, when will i meet them and the pack This is a lot to take in and my meds are making me sleepy. I need sometime to process this. I'm going to go to my room to clear my head" says Lucy as her tears stain her cheeks.

I watch as my overwhelmed daughter leaves the room. She is strong and resilient like me yet warm and understanding like my mate. I smile finally feeling whole with my family intact again.

LUCY'S POV;

My head is spinning as all of my dad's words are spiraling through my head. I walk through our room straight through the bathroom door. I walk straight through to the tub and turn on the hot water as i plug the tub. As it starts to fill i add a spoon of peppermint oil, and a scoop of raspberry raspberry bath salts. I add some raspberry peppermint bubble bath and i smell the sweet minty aroma fill the air. Through the sweet scent of my bath i smell Driftwood and caramel. I know my mate is close and i hear a knock on the door.

"Lucy baby do you need anything" his sweet sultry voice is music to my ears.

He opens the door as i"m unclasping my bra ad drop it to the floor. I run the tip of my finger over my lips and say '" yes actually there is something i need.'

His eyes are locked on my bare chest and he asks "what is that my love?"

I slide my jeans and panties down holding his gaze. "I need you to take a bath with me" I say breathlessly. I grab the hem of his shirt and pull it over his head as i kiss the sweet spot on his neck where I'd mark him after he marks me. I felt the goosebumps run down his chiseled back.He says " Are you going to help me take these off or just going to tease me" he says.

I feel my cheeks flush as i place a kiss above his heart as i undo his low sitting blue jeans. A low growl escapes his lips and i see his c**k getting hard through his jeans. "Get in the tub and stay sitting with your back towards me until i say otherwise he says." I feel my insecurities setting in as i step into the tub and feel his gaze on my ass. The butterflies in my stomach are going crazy right now. I feel his hand lightly brush my hair off the back of my neck as he ties my hair up in a loose bun. He presses his lip to the sensitive spot on my neck and the heat pools to my core. I fight my self control to the limit as he gently grazes his teeth on the skin where I'll bare his mark.

He rests his legs flat in the tub and i lean back into his chest and he pulls my head back giving him access to gently kiss my lips. "Please Johnny I want you. I need you" I say pleading with him. His fingers trace the healing line of stitches and i feel him tense up at the realization i hasnt been long enough to be fully healed. "You wont hurt me i tell him." And just as fast as he got in behind me I was left sitting alone.

I feel an empty hole in my chest where a few moments ago was full of want and neediness, I rest my head on the back of the tub and the tears threaten to fall as the feeling of rejection sets in. Cadence longs for her mate in my mind and I long to feel wanted and right now i feel the way i have my entire life, confused and abandoned. a feeling of guilt and anger wash over me and i realize these feelings aren't mine. I'm feeling everything Johnny is feeling. I can only hope he isn't feeling what I'm feeling.

Islide my head under the water and resurface. I barely clear the water as i let out a scream. The stench of rotten flesh was overwhelming ad this red eyed pale skinned man staring back at me makes me shiver as fear courses through me. As the bathroom door crmbles to the floor Johnny and our parents coming running in as im exposed in the tub. The red eyes man flees off the balcony and Clyde runs after him shifting mid air. Johnny runs to me and my dad turns around so he's not looking in my direction. Johnny helps me stand and wraps me in an oversized towel.

"If i would have stayed with you, you wouldnt have been alone." Johnny says. My mom is calming my dad and i feel numb for a moment then i start screaming in pain. "What is wrong with her my dad" asks. i pull at the towel as my side burns.

My mom pulls a shirt from the closet and slides it over my head. so she can examine me. SHe sees two stitches are torn out and im bleeding. She let her hand turn into Aurora's paw and her claw rips through the remaining stitches and pulls the gash apart. "What are you doing" Johnny asks.

"The dead ones venom is in her wound we need to drain it before it gets to deep into her body" I hear my mom say. Next thing i know Aurora is hovering over me lapping her tongue over the wound and she spits out a foul smelling black liquid. My dad grabs a jar of clear liquid and dumps it over the wound and i cry out in agonizing pain as the liquid cleans my wound. Johnny's face is turned away from me and i cant hear his thoughts. I grab his hand and mind link him.

"It's okay JOhnny. I'm going to be ok."

Johnny looks at my side and then my face and asks if i feel it. I ran my hand toup my side and the wound was goneit was replaced with black like veins running through my birthmark.

"Why, how what is this?" I stammer.Dad calls for the dr and Jamie comes in.

"let me see" she says. Her jaw falls open. "What did you put on her to clean her wound" she asks.

"Aurora sucked out the vampires venom and i poured my diluted saliva over her the wound."

"It healed her but the venom bonded with the area" Jamie says. "You should be dead" Jamie says. The room falls quiet and i feel good as new. I stand up and stretch as if nothing happened and they all loo at ,e confused.

It doesn't hurt anymore and the black lines are fading away . Cadence tells me not to worry that I will understand soon this is why they want me isn't it i ask my wolf. yes! she answers me and i know i have to tell my parents and Johnny. Now i know why they are after me and they wont stop.
