It all changes

MOM!

Cadence's POV:

Lucy's emotion are coursing through me. Her father is a rogue working with the dead ones. I block Lucy out from my thoughts and mind link my mate. "How do I protect my human when the only way I know how is to kill her dad" I asked.

"We take him prisoner" Zeuss replied.

We've killed most of the rogues and dead ones. Some escaped, some surrendered and a few were taken as prisoners to Jonny's pack now. I know I can't let Lucy stay here. I turn to run and a white wolf with gray paws and dark emerald eyes stands in my way

"Where are you running off to my sweet girl" that all too familiar woman's voice asked.

"Aurora?"

"Yes it's me my sweet pup".

"Mom I've missed you so much. The voice it's been you all along.

"It's time to s**t baby so we can talk but, first you need to explain what's happening to Lucy."

Lucy's POV:

Just hours ago I was a normal sixteen year old teenager and suddenly I'm an adopted werewolf . My eyes land on on a woman who looks to be in her twenties. She has hair as blonde as mine and her eyes are gold with green moons in them.

My mom and Chloe came out after witnessing the m******e and Kat's eyes fell to the woman beside me "Aurora" she beamed. However Aurora didn't share the same enthusiasm.

"Where's keith, Kat" Aurora asked.

"I.. I don't know he hasn't come home" she stammered.

It was my turn for answers. "Mom?" I asked.

"Yes?" they both answered.

"Kat all these years you let me believe I was crazy for telling you about nightmares and believing in witches vampires and we're wolves. and this whole time you've known? you let me live my whole life as a lie."

Chloe's face falls and she can't even look at me. I see the necklace I gave her secured around her neck and I feel my rage growing again. I feel a calming arm wrap around my waist and know it's Johnny. He whispers in my ear "baby take a deep breath ok? I know you're confused hurt and scared right now but I don't want you to say anything you'll regret." His breath leaves tingles on my skin.

I rest my head on his shoulder and the touch calms my anger. "Did you know Chloe?" I ask afraid of the answer.

"Lucy I'm so sorry. I wanted to tell you the night you came into my room. but, if I told about you I'd have to tell you about us". Kat sent her such a glare I was pretty sure that Chloe would drop dead.

"Forever my sister always my friend" I scoffed. "We've never been sisters and friends don't keep secrets from one another especially not like this".

"Cadence let her explain please" says Aurora.

"We are witches Lucy. We've been masking your scent since Aurora left you in our care."

"Then how did they?. Dad!?" Memories of my dad holding the bloody fur of a wolf in his hand plays through my mind.

"Where is he" I asked Johny. We took him to our cells on pack land We can go talk with him when we're done here baby". he reassured me.

"Lucy you can't leave us. We love you." Chloe cries.

"No you don't. You never have. You let your father and your husband try to kill me tonight. I'm leaving with my mate and my MOM". I retort.

Kat went to grab my arm and Johnny and Aurora instinctively stepped in between her and I growling. Kat really believes shes going to get me to stay. This time it was me that growled making Kat step away from me. I can see the pain in Chloe's eyes but it doesn't bother me. I feel so much resentment and anger towards the both of them. At the same time I feel free and secure standing between my mate and my birth mom. As we walk away I feel the weight of their magic lifting off of me.

Aurora's POV:

As my daughter came to age I kept my scent masked and remained hidden as I could smell the rogues and dead ones. the past few days I've killed a few rogues and dead ones but Ive had to keep a low profile to find out exactly who was after Cadence. My pup is just as beautiful as I remember I think as we are runited. It was my sweet Cadence that I saw first and she remembered me. I had to have her explain to Lucy what is going on to try and make her understand why she lives the life she did.

After shifting into Lilly my human cadence finally shifted back to Lucy and the emotions are running high. I knew she'd ask me about Johnny and the warnings but it's a little too late for that. a werewolf starts shifting and if they lock eyes with their mates it happens faster. I wanted to put it off until after her birthday to try and avoid the fight they fought tonight.

I wanted my pup to understand what she was before she had to do any killing and to know how much I love and missed her. It's been a long sixteen years without my pup but, I've always been near by. I can feel Lucy's emotions running high and I knew once we were on the safety of pack land where the dead ones couldn't roam her and I will be able to talk. I thought putting off her shift would throw the rogues and dead ones off and they'd turn against the traitor who swore to us he'd help protect her.

Lucy asks Kat and Chloe if they've always known and the answer they gave I felt her anger and resentment building. After they've talked we turn to leave and Kat tries grabbing Lucy as if she wasn't going to let her leave. Johnny and I separated the two instinctively protecting my pup and his mate. Then came a growl that made the witches both cower away a few steps. Cadence made it know she was leaving with us. Knowing she was giving me a chance my heart is overflowing with joy.

As we walk away I beging smelling Cadence's scent. The only explanation is Kat and Lucy lifted the spell to protect her. I want to turn around and rip them both limb from limb but know if I do that Cade would be hurt even worse. I block my thoughts from Cade and mind link Johnny. "They're going to smell her from miles around. We need to shift and run as fast as we can to the pack lands." Almost as if the rogues and dead ones that escaped heard us we heard howls and the calls of the dead ones.

"Cadence we need to shift and run now." I screamed to her. After three of us shift we run through the trees I feel them closing in on us. "How much longer Johnny." I ask.

"That tree line about five hundred yards away." he tells the both of us.

Just as we make it to the outskirts of the land rogues cross in front of us. There's seven of them and three of us with others close behind. Johnny let's out a loud howl and growls. Before to long the rogues attack and I grab the one heading for Cadence. My canines are sinking into its windpipe as I rip it's throat out of it's body. Cadence is on top of another rogue baring her teeth to go for the kill when one knocks her off from behind. Johnny kills the rogue he was dealing with and goes to save Cadence as the rogue goes to bite down Cade moves her head just in time and that's when Johnny's father joined in.

Alpha Clyde is an amazing powerful wolf. He took out two rogues at one time and made a clearing for us to escape. Once we crossed the pack line I knew we were safe. Clyde came back across shortly after us covered in blood just like us. He acted as if he couldn't believe his eyes when he saw us. He bowed his head and said "Luna Aurora it's been a long time. I didn't think you or Cadence survived the rogue attack. Did Alpha Damen as well?."

"Why don't we go get cleaned up and we'll sit down and talk. Give Lucy and Cadence some time to adjust Alpha Clyde.
