It all changes

So It Begins

Johnny's POV:

I could feel the jealous rage Cadence was feeling as she made her way towards Payton and me. I did the only logical thing I could think of to deescalate the way she was feeling. I stepped away from Payton and closer to her. I didn't intend for her to become angry but it was the only way for me to be here with her to ensure her safety.

"It's almost time be ready" came a man's voice I've never heard before and Zeus was ready for a fight. Zeus could sense that something was bothering our mate. I make my way up beside her and rest my hand at the small of her back. The jolts ran up my arm straight to my c***. I knew my wolf needed his mate but, I needed him focused on the task at hand her shift and her safety. Cade's face was red and I could smell her arousal.

I do the only thing I can think of and reluctantly remove my hand. Zeuss needed to be focused to help our mate if they know she shifts. "Lucy, would u like to take a walk with me" I ask her. She nods at me as is she's lost for words. We got a small distance away from the others and I pull out a small square gift box that contains a necklace with a wolf charm nestled between two heart cut emeralds.

She traces the charm so delicately with her and all I can think is how I want her fingers tracing over me with that much adoration. I finally muster up some words "would u like help putting it on" I ask".

"I'd love that Johnny. thank you it's beautiful" she responds beaming at me.

"So are you Lucy" I tell her.

Lucy's POV:

"So are you Lucy" his words are replaying through my head. My heart's is racing and pounding so loud I'm certain he hears every beat that he has made my heart skip.

"Thank yo...." I get caught off as another round of horrible pains shoot through my body. I fall to the ground while feeling as if my bones are snapping in pieces one by one Everything is so dark, I can't be dying I thought to myself. I feel strong warm arms wrapped around me cradling me like a delicate infant who fell asleep on the couch. As the vision started coming back I noticed he laid me in the cabin.

I hear my sister and my mom screaming pleading with Johnny to let them see me. Hes telling them to get in the house and lock the door and not to let anybody in until he tells them to. All of our friends head in with my mom and Chloe. I'm in and out of it for what seems to be eternity and the pain is increasing in my head and my mouth. I can't hold on anymore I thought to myself.

"Look into my eyes Lucy" Johnny commanded

"Don't do it Cadence" the woman's voice said.

"Lucy please trust me. I want your pain to end, and I promise it's going to take it away" Johnny pleads.

"Cadence listen to your mom." My mom's not here. I opened my eyes for them to land directly looking into the most extravagant set of white hued eyes. There is a pain stricken look in these eyes I'm gazing into as if he knows what's coming. Out of the calm came the storm. There is a peaceful bliss ruined as a crashing wave of pain washed over me as if all of my bones simultaneously broke. I am screaming but it's not coming out in my voice but in a howl.

"Open your eyes Lucy it's over now" Johnny's voice rings through my ears. As my eyes open I see a huge gray and brown wolf staring back at me. It lowers it's head as if to tell me he means me no harm. I lift my hand to touch the head of this gorgeous animal but, it's no longer a hand attached to my arm it's a a white paw. I stand to run to a mirror but I'm running on all fours.

"Picture your human form Lucy!"

"Human form?! What do you mean Human form?! I am human."

"Shift back and we'll talk we don't have much time." Just as I go to picture myself the way I was nearly an hour ago I hear growls and human like snarls coming from surrounding the cabin.

"They know you've shifted. Let your wolf out."

"What wolf? What are you talking about Johnny I'm scared? Where are you?"

"I'm right in front of you" he says calmly.

"That's, that's you", I stammer.

" Yes now let her take over lucy.", I think of myself as a fierce she wolf and feel a growl tear through my chest. The power I feel coursing through my veins is incredible. I finally felt free. "Mate" my wolf purrs as her nostrils catch the scent of driftwood and caramel. She catches the scent of the dead ones and growls enraged "so many blood suckers".

"They've been here all day. My pack is on standby waiting for my signal to pounce."

"What are they waiting for" Cadence snarls back.

"You to make your full appearance. Lucy needs you to take control. She's to scared we needed you at your best before the fight broke out."

Zeus POV:

When Lucy finally shifted I couldn't tear my gaze away from my mate. Her wolf is a smokey gray color with white boots on all four paws and her very prominent beige crescent moon down her ribs. I know she's petrified and confused and my heart breaks because I don't have time to comfort her. I push Johnny to get her to let Cadence take control. Thanks closing in on us and I need to signal my pack.

I felt my mate surface and she sure is feisty.

"Well what are they waiting for" she taunted me.

"You to make your debute" I teased.

I mind linked my pack and that's when hell on Earth breaks loose. I hear my father's growls getting closer to the cabin and I take a protective glance in front of Cade. The door is pulverized by a blood sucker. As I go to lunge I see Cade soaring over the top of me her jaws spread apart grabbing hold of the dead ones head and clamping down. His body falls to the ground and his head came off in Cade's mouth. We make our way out to help the pack with the remaining rogues and dead ones.

As we're slaughtering rogues and bloodsuckers I can't help but smirk at how amazing it felt to be doing it with my mate. We move together with so much grace and pride it's electrifying. I get caught up in my thoughts about my mate and didn't realize she came to a halt in a defensive stance. "That's my dad". Lucy mind links us.

"Which one?"

" The one with red hair and blue eyes that's holding fur from a wolf."

" Cadence he left the flowers it can't be your dad.. "
