AURORA'S POV

As I sit with Kat I hear the screams coming from outside. Johnny screams as if he's being ripped limb from limb. I know this is going to get bad and I want to help protect my pack but my daughter needs me more. I have this sinking feeling my friend really isn't a friend but and an enemy. I feel my heart falling into pieces as I hear Damen shift and growl and Chase after the intruder. My panic sets in knowing he's gone after whoever it was by himself. "Go with Damen protect him at all costs" I mind link the pack warriors.

I hear Jazzmin chant "tresspassers shall not pass, and prisoners shall not be freed." I can't help but wonder what she's doing. It's safe now Aurora. Have the doctor stay with Lucy and meet us by the cells" Johnny mind links me.

I begin to panic as I walk out of the hospital and head into the the packs building with all of our cells where rogues and criminals are held. As I enter "She won't stand for this I'm her daughter's only hope" are the only words I needed to here for my wolf to try taking control. I growl tears through the cold damp air and Johnny runs up to me. "Aurora I know she's your friend but," and that when I smell blood.

"Johnny whose blood is that" I ask. As he goes to give me and answer he collapses.

He falls face down and I see nothing but bone where his shoulder should be. "Cameron bring someone to help you transport Johnny from the cells. He's collapsed and is injured badly." I mind link the doctor.

Jazzmin has put a spell on Kat's cell so her magic is unusable. Doctor Cameron gets here with Damen's beta Christian and they take Johnny to the hospital. "I will be there as soon as I can. Send a messenger to Alpha Clyde and Luna Bonnie" I tell them.

I walk over anger rising and ask Jazzmin "what happened out there and please tell me why you suppressed Kat's powers and why she is in a cell".

"Kat has had Keith here this entire time with a cloaking spell. They know all our plans and they've been trailing us since we left Johnny's lands. She is in on the plan of Keith handing over Cadence for her blood. " she says.

"How do you know all of this." I ask.

"I used a spell for her memories. There's more Kat. She has been working with them for years. She's the one that cursed those rubies so when Lucy got close to them Stephan the one that claims she's his mate and bound his venom to her blood could get inside her head making her turn against us and go to him. She even bargained her own daughter's life for Cadence" she finishes.

"Why? Why would you do this Kat. We grew up together you lived with our pack until meeting Keith. You didnt have to leave when he got banished for poisoning Damens father. You chose that life. I trusted you and loved you like family. I only left my daughter with you because you swore Keith was no longer in the picture. That he ran off with another rogue. And I can't even ask how you'd feel if I did the same to you because you gave your daughter up as a sacrifice if my child doesn't agree to the blood ceremonies. I can assure you, you just signed your child's death certificate. My child is strong and will overcome that rotten bastard of a dead one playing with her head. I will be sure of that" I practically growl every word as it escapes my mouth. "Be glad I was being a mother to my child when they noticed something off or I would have killed you myself. Hell the nights still young I still might. Your mate is going to die and I'm going to make sure it's slow and painful. And when I save your daughter don't worry she won't even miss you or the life she had because she will know what true family is. I'll save the killing of you for her" I say as I walk away.

"Jazzmin be sure you sedate her and keep her powers immbilized until further notice" I say.

"You can count on me Luna." she smiles.

Johnny's POV

I awaken quite sometime later on a bed next to Lucy. I feel no pain and Zeuss is going nuts in my head being this close to our mate. But, he's not going crazy in the way he normally is longing to bury himself in her. He's whimpering and whining. I've never experienced my strong brave wolf cowering like a small pup. I know he's feeling the same as I am. Scared lonely and wishing our mate would open her eyes. I look down to see an iv in my arm and hear the monitor beeping. I take the sensor off my finger and the heart stickers to monitor my heart rate off. I realize my shoulder is fully wrapped with my arm being held across my chest.

I stand to close the distance between Lucy and I and place my hand atop hers. "Lucy baby can you hear me? I need you to wake up babe. Kat has been working with Keith the whole time and I think they're using Chloe to get to you. I need you now babe. I need your calming aura and your gentle touch. I know I get to see you but I miss you Lucy. " I tell her as I scoot her over and climb in the bed next to her I position her so her head is on my good shoulder and breathe her in. She looks so peaceful and as beautiful as always. I place a gentle kiss on her head "Sweet dreams Lucy. I love you. Please come back to me." I say before drifting back off to sleep I feel the warmth of Lucy tucked into my side. I feel her chest rising and falling and her gentle breath on my chest as she exhales. I swear I feel her fingers wiggle against my stomach. "Am I dreaming?" I ask to myself.
