Panic among the pack

Aurora's POV:

As I check on Lucy in our hospital on our pack's land the memories of Kat screaming "No get away from those" and entering the cave as my daughter collapsed fill my mind. Had I known the vampires marked their property line with dark magic filled rubies I wouldn't have stopped at the falls. It's been five days since Lucy fell unconscious and our doctor says she should have woken up seventy two hours ago.

"Hey my sweet girl. It's mom again. You're really starting to scare me Cadence Crescent. You need to wake up. Fight this baby girl. I just got you back and I can't lose you again. Your brothers are getting impatient to meet their big sister Cc please please baby wake up. Johnny sleeps next to every night and your dad is struggling to train the warriors. All he wants is to kill the dead ones for doing this to you after separating us for sixteen years" I let loose and the tears flow was bed my only daughter to wake up.

"Her vitals are stable Luna Aurora. She's getting stronger" Dr Cameron reassures me.

"Are you sure she can hear me" I ask.

"Did you notice how when you started talking her heart rate quickened" he asks.

I was so wrapped up in the fear of her being like this the rest of her life or dying on us to even notice the rapid beep of the machine. I climb up on the bed with Lucy and I hear a growl come from her throat.

Cadence is trying so hard to come out and get Lucy up. Lucy just isn't strong enough yet and as a mom this is the hardest thing I've been through. It's just like the day I lost her for sixteen years. I know deep inside me she is still here but I miss the alert caring girl that the goddess has kept safe for me to come back to and now the goddess is going to get her through this.

Lucy's POV:

It's dark. So dark. I hear my mom crying as she's begging me to wake up and I can't seem to open my eyes. I want to scream to her that I'm right here that I'm ok. I keep hearing that dead one over and over again. Cadence has stayed quiet and I really need my wolf right now. She's as confused and hurt as I am. Our mate is planning on killing me. The wolves have Chloe and my parents aren't who they say they are. Cadence I call to her. Come on I need you where are you. I hear a whimper and I feel an agonizing wave of pain in my chest. Johnny wouldn't hurt us Cade. He's our mate. He loves us.

Cadence let's out a growl and I understand now she's as torn as I am. Suddenly I hear Chloe. Don't come for me Lucy. The wolves don't have me. Stephan and and the dead ones do. They only want your blood. By the second I grow more and more confused. Cadence we need to get better help me. Chloe needs us, our mate and pack need us! I scream at my other half. Without her I know I'll never open my eyes again.

Johnny's POV:

Its been four days of seeing my mate unconscious has left me feeling lost and unable to concentrate on training. Damen and I train together. We're out with the warriors and Damen and I are sparring in wolf form. My wolf is angry and I need to stay in control as does Damen so we don't kill one another. I start circling him and as I go to lunge he dodges to the left. I spin and around and go for his right shoulder and he dodges me again. Annoyance is setting in and I growl and leap in the air. Just as I come down he steps out of the way and pins me to the ground.

"Never get impatient" Alpha Damen says. "The dead ones are just as fast as us and they are on two legs instead of four."

We shift back as we walk around watching the warriors spar. I have a feeling we're being watched. and I notice Kat talking to herself near the tree line. I have a very bad feeling about it and I turn to Alpha Damen "who is Kat talking to?"

"How do you know she's talking to someone" he asks.

"Watch her and focus in on her words. It's like she's having a conversation not just random words to herself" I say.

Damen watches her for a moment and mind links me "go into the house and circle around I'm gonna go towards them from the other way. Have Jazzmin use a come with you and use a spell to reverse a cloaking spell"

I head in to the house And mind link Aurora to find this Jazzmin Damen said to find. Aurora comes upstairs with this attractive black haired girl. "What's going on" she asks.

"Kat is out by the trees talking to someone who is being cloaked by a cloaking spell and she's hiding their scent. Damen and I are going to get up near her and we need Jazzmin to reverse it" I say.

The color in Aurora's face drains "I'll kill her if shes working with her rogue of a husband" she says and tries to push past me.

"I need you to stay with Lucy! If he's here they all know where we are and how long we've been here.Go to Lucy and grab as many free warriors or your betas to protect the two of you" I say as I head out the door with Jazzmin.

Jazzmin cloaks Damen and I so Kat and whoever is with her can't see us. I know Damen needs me here but I want to be with Lucy ensuring her safety. We get on top of Kat and her guest and the cloaking spells are reversed and Keith bites my shoulder and tears his clamped jaws away taking my flesh with him. My shoulder blade is exposed and Damen takes off after Keith and Kat tries to run but Jazzmin imprisons her with a spell.
