The event was actually more than just a private celebration for the success of Lawrence-Winston companies and most of the people there was favored and selected employee's from all over the country. Aside from the room where Gustav's family meets her, the rest was open for everyone.
And they didn't stay there after the introduction. Knowing that most of the people aren't a member of Gustav's actual family made her loosen up. She actually enjoyed the party this time.
