Chapter Seven: Secrets

When I get home all I can think about is Adrien holding me. I know what we did was wrong but all I want is to call him. Suddenly I hear tapping at my window, and I notice it's Chat. Then when I open my window he hugs me tightly.

"I don't care. Tonight I just want you, and I'm not going to let you go." He wraps his arms around my waist and kisses me more and more.

"By the way Marinette..." He suddenly raises up and he smiles but his eyes look angry.

"You and Luka are together huh..." Then he grabs my breasts suddenly.

"Marinette? Are you awake?" Alya asks. I quickly pull the blanket over my naked body and I look over the bed to meet their eyes.

"G-Good morning! I wish you guys would've let me know you were coming!" I say trying not to move so that I don't expose Adrien underneath me.

"Sorry is it a bad time Marinette? We just wanted to make sure you were okay you know because of everything with Kagami." Luka asks with a worried look on his face. I'd hug him and reassure him that I'm fine if Adrien wasn't under me!

"Yea girl, I felt bad because it was my idea to go to the club last night. Have you spoken to Adrien?" Alya asks while trying to head towards my bed.

"I-I'm fine! Truly I really am." Suddenly I see Alya stare at something on the floor.

"Luka I have to talk to Marinette about something. How about waiting for us downstairs." Then as Luka heads down stairs she picks up Adrien's phone.

"So Marinette. Who's in here with you?" She says while glaring at me. Suddenly Adrien whispers claws out and hops out of my bed.

"Sharp as always Alya. I should've known I'd be caught by the best reporter in all of Paris." He says while nodding at me to quickly put my clothes on.

"Chat noir? What are you doing here? Aren't you in love with Ladybug, so why are you in bed with Marinette?" She asks suspiciously. As I finished putting on my clothes I head off my bed and put my hands on Chat's shoulder.

"Well you were right about me being upset about everything that went down. So Chat came over since we have been friends for a long time, so as we were talking all night we accidentally fell asleep. Well Chat isn't it about time you go out for your daily patrol? Bye now!" Then I open the window and I push him off the balcony.

"Why didn't you tell me you were friends with chat noir?" She asks while tapping her foot.

"Well it was just because he's a superhero we couldn't risk super villains using me as a ploy to get his miraculous." I say while getting ready to shower.

"So friends leave hickeys all over your body?" She asks while smirking and pointing at all of my hickeys. D-Damn you Adrien!

"W-Well he comforted me in many ways..." I say while heading to the restroom and then Alya stops me by grabbing my arm.

"Is there something you're keeping from me girl? It just seems like you've been distant and hiding things from me." She says while looking upset. As much as I want to tell her I can't. This isn't just a normal secret this is huge.

"I'm okay Alya. It's just a lot has changed this year and I am taking it in slowly that's all." I say trying to reassure her.

"So what was Kagami talking about with you and Adrien."

"....what do you mean...?" I asked hesitantly.

"I mean at the club, you and Adrien seemed very comfortable, and that got me thinking. The way you guys kissed each other was very passionate. Do you have something you want to tell me Marinette?" She asks like she's interviewing me. I'm very hesitant to answer because Alya's known me for years, and if I answer wrong she will know everything.

"Alya it's fine. It was a s*x club, and we just got carried away." I responded stepping into the shower and then Alya follows me into the bathroom leaning over the sink.

"Marinette are you sure you got over your feelings with Adrien?" Suddenly that question startles me so much I drop the soap.

"W-Why would you ask me that!?" I ask while picking up the soap and finishing up.

"Nothing. It's just if you have something to tell me then please know I'd never judge you girl." Then I can't help feel guilty and a tear drops on my cheek.

"There's nothing to tell Alya. We had fun at the club and that's all to it." I say while turning off the water and stepping out of the shower.

"Then there's also the kiss at spin the bottle, and you guys seemed very comfortable with each other too. Are you going to tell me that's a coincidence as well?" Then she stares at me in my eyes and I quickly look away because I can't look at her and lie.

"It was apart of the game that's all." I say while putting on my clothes for school.

"Liar..." she mumbles.

"What?" I ask. Then she turns her back to me and starts to head out when she suddenly stops and looks back at me.

"I don't know when this started with the lies, but I thought you trusted me more than that Marinette."

"A-Alya..." Then she goes downstairs and completely ignores me.

Alya's POV:

"Hey where's Marinette? She's going to be late at this rate." Luka asks me.

"She will be heading down soon. You guys can walk together to school I'm going to head to school early." Then I head outside, and look at the video footage I had in the beach house. I can't believe she'd just lie to my face like that. I heard them making love. How long it has been going on? I'm not sure but why wouldn't she tell me? Suddenly I bump into Adrien and Nino and I notice a small hickey poorly attempt to cover it with makeup. Geez you're a model how do you not know how to cover a hickey.

"Morning babe, you're looking amazing as usual." Nino says to me while kissing my cheek.

"Good morning Alya, how are you?" Adrien says while looking nervous. By god he's so obvious, both of them really are alike.

"Adrien I need to speak to you now." I grab his arm and drag him in a dark alley. "We will meet you at school Nino."

"Um...Alya? What's going on is there something wrong?" He asks, and I pull out my phone and show him the video footage.

"How about you tell me Adrien?" I ask and his face gets all serious.

Adrien's POV:

Oh s**t. What am I supposed to say? I mean Marinette and I haven't even figured out what we are doing. What if she says something to Kagami? It's not just my relationship with her on the line, if our relationship was ruined because of this it'd be a whole scandal and put both of our families in deep s**t. Not to mention Marinette, her father's bakery would be put under so much pressure, and I couldn't see her go through that.

"Nothing to say huh? Well let me be more direct...why are you playing her?" She asks and I can't help but get angry.

"I'd never play Marinette!" I exclaim.

"Oh really, so cheating on Kagami with her isn't playing them both? So you're saying you'd leave Kagami for her then?" She says while crossing her arms.

"It's not that simple." I say while looking down. If I did all of us would be put in a really bad position. Obviously she wouldn't get that though.

"Do you even know how long it took her to get over her years and years of feelings she had for you?" She says while getting angry.

"I know. We talked about it." Then she looks shocked.

"Wait...how long has this been going on?" Then I suddenly get tongue tied and I can't say anything, because I don't know how long we have felt this electric feeling between us. As she sighs she starts to glare at me.

"So what's the endgame here Adrien? You know you can't have your cake and eat it too forever right? Eventually the truth will come out, and you guys will have to face this." Then she starts to walk away and she looks back at me before exiting the alley.

"Look, I won't tell anyone Adrien, but you have to understand that I won't hesitate to do what needs to be done to protect Marinette. Luka really likes her and he'd be able to give her the love she needs and deserves without hiding in the shadows. Are able to give that to her? That's what you need to ask yourself." Next thing I know she leaves the alley and I cannot contain my anger so I punch the wall.

"Dammit! I know that already..." I saw while turning around and sliding down the wall. Later that evening after class, I see Luka holding Marinette's hand, and before I can say anything Alya glares at me. It's almost like she's telling me to back off. Suddenly Kagami pulls up in her car and she comes up and smiles at me.

"Good morning Adrien, how are you?" As she slides her hand down my arm, I can't help see Marinette slightly stare. I'm sorry Marinette, even though I don't want to hurt you I know that's what is going to end up happening, so I have to end this. The only way to do that is to break her heart so she won't be tempted to come around me, and I won't be tempted to do the same.

"Adrien I hope we can get over last night. Even though it seems cruel I think it's better if you guys don't see each other." She says while looking down, so I lift her chin up and pull her close to me.

"Marinette means nothing to me Kagami. You're my girlfriend and I..." As I grit my teeth and put on my fake smile trying not to break down right here, I finally get the courage to spit it out. "I love you Kagami and you are the only one for me." Then I pull her closer to me and kiss her as passionately as I can. Next thing we know, people start clapping around us, and then I see a tear falling out of Marinette's eye.

"M-Marinette!?" Alya yells chasing after her until an Akumatized villain grabs her.

"Aha! Ladybug and Chat noir, come out and face me or else I'll turn this one into dust!" As everyone runs away screaming, I slip off into a locker I turn into chat noir, and I rush to save her.

Marinette's POV:

"Let me go!!" I scream while trying to get free.

"No way. When Ladybug and Chat noir get here I will finish them off, and then Farfalla will grant me my wish!" He says while tying me up to the Eiffel tower's bars. Who is Farfalla? I assumed Mayura was the one making the senti monsters and akumas. Don't tell me...the reason I haven't been able to reclaim the miraculous of the butterfly, is because someone has taken hold of it once again! I must distract him!

"So you really think you can defeat ladybug and chat noir huh? How can you do that if you don't even know their secret hideout? Oops!" Then the akumatized villain comes to me and lifts my chin.

"What hideout? If I know that I can ambush them."

"I'll tell you if you tell me why are you doing this?" If I can get him to tell me why he was akumatized it can give me a clue as to where his akuma is.

"Hmm...fine. I loved someone deeply for very long time, and when the truth came out, everyone teased me for and the bullies said that love is stupid so I've decided that anyone who is not in love should be punished it should not exist in this world. Now tell me where their secret hideout is!" He says while grabbing my throat.

"T-The underground sewer...that's where they meet up and transform." As he lets go of my throat and I cough hard, he heads toward the sewer and I spot Chat noir. When he comes over to me and unties the rope, I feel so weak trying to catch my breath, and he carries me in his arms and whisks me away.

"Marinette are you alright!? Dammit I'll kill that rotten bastard." He said while getting up and I grab his belt and yank him down.

"Think first you i***t. Listen to me, he has a thing about couples, he won't hurt anyone in love. I suggest you meet up with ladybug and catch him." Then he brushes my hair behind my ear, and I brush him off.

"Marinette about earlier..." Then I cut him off, and get up.

"We don't have time for this, now go find ladybug!" As he heads off I hide behind a building and transform.
