1: Glances
L U N A     "Good," Mr. Lawson paused to look at his watch, "morning, students."      "Morning, Mr. Lawson." We said in unison.      In the middle of the lesson, the door burst opened, and there stood a person; a boy, blonde hair, tall, bruised cheekbone, ripped jeans, black hoodie over plain white shirt, black converse, and a black backpack hung over his shoulder.      Aiden Dominic.      Mr. Lawson stopped his speech and turned his head to the direction of the opened door, "Late again, Dominic?"      He walked closer to Mr. Lawson, "Late pass," He said handing the teacher a paper, "Just went for a little bit of talk at the counselor's office."      "Another case, huh, Dominic?" He said while reading the paper then look back at him, "Not surprised. What did you do this time?"      "Just punched an asshole, can I sit now?" He said and earned a nod from Mr. Lawson as a respond.      Aiden started walking to his seat, which is right at the corner back of the classroom. His usual seat. No one would ever dare to sit on that chair, because they knew that it was his chair, and he was a bit scary. Well, not a bit, but he really was scary.       He was really sensitive. He got mad easily, he just went off hitting people when he's mad. By "hitting" I mean he was not just punching them, but breaking their nose, arms, and jaws as well. No one could stop him when his anger took over him. I guessed he got a major anger management issues.      I was looking at him, well, it was not my fault that I was looking at him, I mean, everyone did. He came late to class, he drew attention himself. Then our eyes meet. He was looking right into my eyes for a couple of seconds before turning his head to the direction of his seat.      Whenever he looked at me, his stares were different. Those brown eyes of his turned darker whenever it stares right into my very own eyes. Did it meant hatred? or love? or something else?      It couldn't be love or hatred, we had never talked to each other, it was not possible for him to even had a special feeling of love or hatred towards me.      If it was "something else", what could that be? We never talked, we never got close to each other. It was not possible for it to be "something else", he didn't know anything about me, maybe beside my name, or he didn't even know my name, who knows? And I didn't know anything about him beside his name.      I was deep in my thoughts when I heard Mr. Lawson cleared his throat and then I came back to reality.      "Okay, that's it for our lesson. Pretty short and simple, right?" He said that earned a simple "Yeah!" from the students, including me.      "We still have thirty minutes until class over, I'm going to give you a worksheet from what we have studied just now." He said and I shot my eyes opened widely, my eye balls almost popped out.      Nah, not exactly. Just kidding.      Wait, worksheet, really? I was not even listening to what he taught us earlier, I was deep in my thoughts!      Before I could think of something else, my classmates were already spoke my thoughts out aloud. Groans and complains filled the classroom.      I slowly glanced at Aiden and quickly turned around when he caught me looking at him. He was sitting as calm as usual, leaning his back to his chair. He didn't smirk, or had any expression when he caught me staring at him. I frowned at that. He just wore his signature blank face.      "Silence, kids!" Mr. Lawson spoke after trying so hard to calm them down.      Another groans.      "It's just a worksheet, okay? It won't affect anything from your grades. I just want to know how much you guys understand," He said, slower than before, "Got it?"      I sighed while the others having their mini celebration, knowing that this worksheet wouldn't affect our grades.      I glanced back at Aiden. He looked so calm and he was writing down his answers easily. No frowns, nothing. He looked as calm as usual.      He brought his head up from his worksheet. He caught me staring. Again. I quickly turned around and pretending to work on my worksheet.      I slowly glanced back at him, carefully so he wouldn't caught me back.      He didn't have a lot of friends, I guessed. I didn't see him everyday at lunch, just sometimes. I didn't know where he is during lunch when he's not at the cafetaria.      Unlike me, everyone wanted to be friends with him—guys were jealous of him, his well-built body, his gorgeous face, his charm, meanwhile, girls were drooling over him, his six packs whenever he strips down his shirt during P.E., and his tall body.      So do Tristan, Ray, and Jackson, his bestfriends and only friends. Everyone loved them. I can see by the way girls looks at them, the way they parted to make way whenever the guys were passing by, and the way they treated them.      Even though everyone wanted to be friends with him, it seemed like he had always pushed them away. He was so mysterious and I was willing to find out everything about him.      Every. Single. Thing. About. Him.      "He always sits on the corner back of the classroom. Alone. He looks so lonely. He doesn't talk much. He either keeps his head looking straight to the front of the class or sleep. Something must be wrong with him." I thought to myself, finally looking away from him.                                                                        A I D E N      I caught her staring at me again. The girl had been sneaking glances towards me since last year. There was something different in her eyes. She often frowned whenever she looked at me. It was like she was trying to find something in me, like she was wondering a lot of things about me.      Maybe I looked exactly the same whenever I looked at her. I was trying to find something in her, I was wondering a lot of things about her. There was something different in her.      I had never gave any s**t towards a girl or anyone, but, she somehow caught my attention.      It all started last year when I saw Shelby and her friends picking on the girl. To be honest, I didn't really care at first, but I saw one of Shelby's manwhore threw a fist at the girl, then I thought to myself 'how can a guy lay a hand on a girl?'. So, I took a few steps closer to him and punched the living s**t out of him. Shelby, her friends, and the girl gasped at my sudden action. I told them to leave the girl alone, and they left. The girl thanked me and then ran away. After that day, the girl started sneaking glances towards me.      She quickly turned her head when our eyes meet and I caught her staring. Then my thoughts started to wonder.      "She keeps looking to my direction. She doesn't look like she has a lot of friends. She doesn't really talk to her chairmate. She doesn't sit with a lot of people during lunch in the cafetaria. She often walks alone in the school hall. She looks so lonely. Something must be wrong with her." I thought to myself.
