Chapter 2
I dug through the useless ashtray to collect every piece of change I could. So far, that had amounted to four dollars and thirteen cents. But I knew I could find a few more quarters buried in this mess. My car had been my home for the last year. Not only were finances tight, but I’d been on a very long road trip. Driving from Vermont to Alaska would have been a fun adventure if I’d been doing it for the adventure.
But nope. This trip wasn’t for fun.
This trip was so I could find my i***t brother.
It had taken me four days to drive from Washington to Alaska due to the shitty weather and my even shitter piece of junk car that didn’t do well in snow over six inches. Someday I would own a four-wheel-drive vehicle that was almost brand-new. And someday I would appreciate the beaut
