Alpha Blake

The next week went by fast as I got my pack affairs in order. That way, Dad can take over my alpha responsibilities while I am away. I had a few meetings with dad, the warriors and my higher ups in the pack. That way, everyone is on the same page and everyone staying behind in the pack knows what to expect should anything unexpected occur while I am away.

Before I know it, it is three days before the party and I find myself all packed and in the packhouse common room waiting for all the members who are going with me, to gather ready to load up the vehicles to head to Silver Leaf Pack. I don’t know why but Rex has been really anxious about getting on the road. I link the rest of the pack members who haven’t got to the pack house yet. “Get your asses in gear, it's time to load the vehicles and leave NOW!!!!!!

We get loaded and started the two-day trek to Silver Leaf Pack. Only stopping for food and to sleep.

We finally arrived at the border of the Silver Leaf Pack. We waited at the border for Beta Kaysyn to contact Alpha Dan just to verify our arrival and invitation. “You have 20 in your party? yea?”asked Beta Kaysyn. “Yes we do,” I replied. “Will you have sufficient space for us to sleep or will we need to have other accommodations?” I asked Beta Kaysyn. “We have prepared accommodations for you all at our pack hotel. If it is OK with you, Alpha Blayke, we have you and your Beta housed in the pack house.” “That will be sufficient for us. Thank you, Beta Kaysyn. We really appreciate Silver Leaf Packs Hospitality and look forward to tonight’s festivities.”I told Beta Kaysyn. “If you will all follow me, I can show you your accommodations for the duration of your stay with us. This way please,” stated Beta Kaysyn.

We all turned and followed Beta Kaysyn towards the Silver Leaf Pack house. I looked around while I walked. Then I smelled the most mesmerizing smell that I have ever smelled in my entire life. Saffron and Lily mixed with hints of citrus. My mouth watered and Rex was going crazy in my head. I would have to find where that amazing smell was coming from. But unfortunately for me that would have to wait until we were settled in.

“I really hope we find our mates tonight, Alpha Blake. Onyx hopes so too.” Beta mycah stated. “You and I both”, I tell him. “Let's get ready for dinner, Mycah.”

Kyralynn

Good morning sleepy head. I startled awake, looked around, trying to get my bearings, and, figure out who said that. No one is in my room. “Who said that?” I said. I Did Kyralynn. I am your wolf, Akyira. I am so glad to finally get to you. I have been waiting forever, it seems.

“I am so glad to finally have you as well, Akyira. You have the most unique and beautiful name,” I said. Thank you. You know you don’t have to talk out loud. I can hear you either way. Well, thank you for telling me as I have never had a wolf. I guess having an alpha father I should have known this, but I never really thought about it before. Let's get up, shower, get dressed and go down for breakfast. I am so hungry. Good Idea. I'm hungry too. Oh, and Kyralynn. What. Happy Birthday!

We get showered, and I get dressed in a pair of faded jeans and a t-shirt with a pair of crocs. I brush my silver blond hair and put it into two french braids down my back.

We headed downstairs to find that the pack was waiting for me to join them before they would eat breakfast. “HAPPY BIRTHDAY KYRALYNN!!” Everyone shouted as I walked into the dining room. “Thank you all. I met my wolf before I came down for breakfast. Her name is Akyira. I can’t wait for you all to meet her.” I proceeded to get a plate and fill it full of scrambled eggs and sausage, my two favorite breakfast foods. This was a wonderful start to my 18th birthday. I am so looking forward to what the rest of the day will hold.

It was sometime after lunch that the guests that mom had invited from all across the country started to arrive. I didn’t pay much attention to who was all arriving and from where they were from. Akyira started pacing in my head. What is wrong akyira? I’m not sure. I just feel antsy. Maybe we should go for a run? OK let me link dad and let him know we need to run. “Dad, Akyira is feeling really antsy and needs to run.” I linked. Dad replied quickly, “I understand I really do but right now is not a good time for you to run, especially with so many new arrivals. Please stay near the pack house. I Love you.” “I love you too dad.”I linked him.

I’m sorry Akyira, you heard him, he doesn't feel it is safe for us to run right now. I know and I’ll be ok. How about we watch a movie until Adalayde gets here to get ready for the party with us? Well you can watch the movie I am going to try to catch a nap. Now that you said that, a nap sounds like a better idea. I'll set an alarm. Adelayde said she would be here at 3:30 so I'll set the alarm for three. That way I can be showered before she arrives. Sleep well, Akyira. Sleep well, Akyira mumbles sleepily.

ALPHA Blayke

I get out of the hot steamy bathroom. I dry off and start getting dressed. I am definitely not a tux guy. I decided my attire for the evening will be a nice pair of jeans and a black sweater over top of a plain white t-shirt. I put my black vans sneakers on even though I should wear a pair of dress shoes. I prefer my vans over any other shoes. I grab my wallet and my phone and put them in my pockets. I head out to see if Mycah is ready yet. His room is right next to mine in the pack house. I knock on his door. “Mycah, are you ready yet?” I ask through the door. The door opens, and a very fancy mycah is standing there in a full out black tux with a teal shirt underneath the coat. “Yea man I'm ready. You’re not gonna wear a tux?” He asks. "What the hell kind of question is that? How long have you known me? You know I hate tuxes, I’d rather run around in boxers than ever put on a tux.” “Yeah,you are so right I was just giving you a hard time. Let’s go explore a little before dinner,” said Mycah. So we went downstairs of the pack house. “They said the party will be in the pack’s event center. I wonder who all will be there, but above all else, I'm hoping we all find our mates.” I said. I smelled that amazing smell again. Saffron and Lily with a hint of citrus. It was faint. I soon hope I find where that mouthwatering smell is coming from. Me too. Rex said to me while he's drooling over the smell. “ This place is amazing, though I prefer our pack house. I like their set up here. Let's try and find the event center. It's almost the time they said dinner would begin.” I told Mycah. “ Of course Alpha, Let’s go.” Mycah said. We walked out of the pack house. And follow the path they marked to the event center. I haven't smelled that amazing aroma since I left the silver leaf pack house. I really hope to meet the owner of that amazing scent. The event center is amazingly decorated. Flowers and silver and light blue balloons everywhere. All the tables had candles and blue and silver centerpieces. They really went all out on this party. We are just standing around waiting to figure out what we are to do, when we hear a tinking of a fork on a glass. “Thank you all for coming. Dinner will be served in five minutes. Please make your way to your assigned seat. Thank you.”Said Alpha Dan. Our pack found our assigned table and we sat down awaiting dinner to be served. My pack starts talking amongst themselves. “I wonder if we truly will meet our mates tonight” “I don't know but the girls are not bad looking.”

I tune everything out. I am still wondering about the amazing scent that is driving Rex and I crazy. I am pulled out of my thoughts by another announcement.

“Please stand and welcome the Birthday girl Kyralynn.” I look over to the girl walking in. She is the most beautiful girl I have ever laid my eyes on. Rex starts going crazy in my head MATE, MATE, MATE.
