Fated to Autumn Moon

Kyralynn “Kyralynn, Did you pick out what dress you want to wear for your birthday party?” Asked my best friend Adalayde. “Not yet, I was hoping you would be up for a shopping trip. Mom has been after me all week to get my dress.” I said. I am excited about my 18th birthday. Especially because it will be the first time I get to finally meet my wolf. My mom has a huge party planned for the big day. She has invited half the country, it feels like. She went a little overboard if you ask me. But hey, you only turn 18, and get your wolf once, right? “Do you want to go to the mall tonight? We could go shopping and get dinner and maybe catch that new movie that came out, The Revenge of the bridesmaids. What do you think?” I asked. “Hell yes, I’m in desperate need of a girls' night. Meyson has been driving me crazy. He can’t get the word no through his tiny little skull.” replied Adalayde. “He wants me to choose him as my chosen mate, but I am old-fashioned and I want to wait for my fated mate. I know they are rare, and it may never happen, but looking at my parents, I want what they have sooooo badly. Ah, someday I will have that.” Adalayde said longingly. “So what time are we heading out so I can let Alpha Dan know that we are leaving the packlands?” I asked. “I think we should leave around 4 o’clock since it will take an hour to get to the mall.” Adalayde replied. " Are you meeting me here at the pack house?” I asked. “Yes I’ll meet you there at 4.” Adalayde answered. “OK, I’ll see you when you get here. Bye Bestie.” I hung up the phone. Guess since it is 2:45 pm I should go find my father, Alpha Dan, before I jump in the shower. I find dad in his office talking to mom on the phone. He looked up as I walked into his office. I sit in the chair across from him and wait until he is finished talking to mom. “Dad, Adalayde and I are meeting here at 4 to head to the Kythera mall. We are dress shopping, Then getting dinner and seeing that new movie. I just wanted to let you know before we left what we had planned for the evening,” I stated. “I am so glad you are finally getting the dress your mother has been after you to get. I would like you to take Meyson and Jerymyah with you as guards.” said Dad, “But dad, this is just a girls' night and Meyson cannot come. No way!! There has to be some female warriors who can come along. No men allowed!! Please Dad, let Genavyve and Raquelle come along as guards. Even though I still don’t understand why you feel I need to be guarded anyway. I turn 18 next Friday,” I exclaimed. “OK, I will allow you to take Genavyve and Raquelle as your guards. You will keep your phone on you at all times. Above all else, just have fun and relax,” Dad said. “thank you thank you thank you!!!!!” I squealed. “I have to go get ready now. I love you Dad!!!! Bye!!!” I left his office, skipping all the way to my room. I take a shower and proceed to get dressed in my signature attire of skinny jeans, light blue crop top and my favorite teal cowboy boots. I pull my long pale silver blond hair up into a messy bun atop my head. I grab my light blue hoodie in case it gets chilly. I make sure my phone and wallet are in my purse and head down to the living room to wait for Adalayde. Alpha Blayke I’m sitting here staring out my window for what seems to be the fiftieth time today. I just can’t seem to keep my mind on task. I am the Alpha of one of the largest wolf packs in America. The Autumn Moon Pack. I am 24 and still haven't found my fated mate. I could choose a mate, but that doesn’t feel right to Rex ( my wolf) and I. We are waiting for our fated mate. I know she will be worth the wait. I was startled out of my thoughts by my Beta Mycah, knocking on my office door. “Enter,” I said. “Alpha, we just received an invitation from the Silver leaf pack for the alpha’s daughter's 18th Birthday. How many of the single male wolves do you want me to RSVP?” Mycah said. “14, including me. But you will need to let them know that my gamma and mate and a few mated warriors will be along too So a total of 20 of us.” “OK, I will send this information out. Do you need anything?” Mycah asked. “I need to get my mind on work, I’ve been staring out the window more than I have been working.” “Why don’t we go for a run, we know that you are not getting any work done today. You will find your mate soon. I just know it.” said Mycah. “OK, let's go.” I said. We headed out of my office, which is on the second floor of the packhouse, down the stairs into the common room. We go through the common room to the front door. As soon as we get out the front door, we shift into our wolves. Rex was more than ready to shift and take over. I was more than ready to shift and let him. I don’t have to remove my clothing before shifting. My clothing stays intact when I shift to and from my wolf form. Onyx (Mycah’s wolf) and Rex take off running into the forest near the pack house. We run to the furthest pack border and make a lap around the border. We hunt a few deer and eat what we want. Then we drug the deer we didn’t eat back to the pack house for the older wolves who have a hard time getting around. I shift back and go up to my room to shower and go to sleep. Kyralynn Adelayde and I (followed by Genavyve and Raquelle) walk around the Kythera mall looking for the perfect dress. I think we have been through ten stores already. We went into the last store that has dresses called Graceful Gowns, and there on the rack is the most beautiful gown I have ever laid my eyes on. It is a baby blue corset top dress with a baby blue satin skirt. I go to the fitting room and try it on. It is a perfect fit. I look at myself in the mirror. It goes perfectly with my icy baby blue eyes and silver blond hair. I found the perfect silver heels to go with it. I am beyond ecstatic to the point I am so looking forward to my birthday party. I go to the checkout counter with my items and pay. We then go to the movie to see the revenge of the bridesmaids. “I need to go to the bathroom,” said Genavyve. “So do I” said Raquelle. “We don't need to use the bathroom. Are you OK if we just wait for you at the snack bar until you are finished?” I asked. “Yea, I think that should be OK.” said Genavyve. We are still rolling with laughter from the movie, as we exit the theater. That is until I ran right into Angelyque and her minions. “Watch where the hell you are going Bitch.” screeches Angelyque. She poured her bright red slushy over my head and ruined my top. “HAhahaha Look at her, she looks just like Elmo,” said the minions. What the hell have I ever done to get you to hate me so much!” I shouted. “You exist,” Angelyque said. Genavyve and Raquelle come running out of the bathroom as they heard shouting. They shoved Angelyque away from me and with angry growls, told her to get lost before they tear her apart. They leave, but not before informing me that this is not over. Back at the packhouse, I unloaded my shopping bags onto my bed and jumped into the shower for the second time today. I am still seething from my encounter with angelyque. She is so cruel to me and I have been nothing but nice to her. Pretty sure she is just jealous that I am the alpha's daughter, and she will never be anything more than a lowly omega. I get out of the shower, dry off and put a sweatsuit on. I don’t have my wolf yet, but I feel I need to go for a run to try and get this anger to simmer down. I text Dad that I was going for a run on packlands. He texted that he was sending Genavyve and Raquel along with Meyson just to be safe. Though my run was uneventful and there really was no need for them to go along. You can’t tell dad any different. I just don’t understand why he is so overprotective of me. The next week flies by and before i know it, it is the eve before my birthday. Mom is running around like a crazy person. I just try to stay out of her way. She doesn’t want me to see what's going on anyway. So I mostly just hang out in my room with adalayde. Finally, I fell asleep and slept a dreamless sleep.
