Chapter 4

Adalayde

I am sitting at my table waiting for Kyralynn to be announced. Anyka (my wolf) is on edge and I have no idea why. “Anyka, what's going on with you? If you paced any faster you'd probably cause a twister.” I asked. I have no idea, I just feel restless, and I have no clue why. I wish we could just go for a run. “I understand, but it is Kyralynn’s birthday party, and we have to stay for her.” I'll make sure we go for a run later.” OK, I'll be patient for a while longer.

Alpha Dan announced Kyralynns arrival. I stand and clap along with the rest of the guests. Kyralynn walks into the event hall. Her eyes are fixed on something, but what? I turned to look where she is looking. A hot man I have never met before, has her attention. “Mate.’ I hear them both say. Wow, she turned 18 and found her mate the same day. I am so happy for her. I just wish I could find my mate. Oh well, I'm happy for her anyway. My mind wanders, wondering what it might be like when I meet my own mate. I was in my head so long that, before I realized it, Kyralynn, Alpha Dan, Luna Wyllow, and Kyralynns mate and it appeared his packmates were making their way to our table. I look at the rest of her mate’s pack mates until my eyes land on the most handsome man I have ever laid eyes on. He is muscular everywhere and probably even in places I have never seen. He has dark hair that slightly falls into his eyes but not in a bum way. It is a very sexy hairstyle. He has the most beautiful Hazel green eyes. He is so hot in his tux with a teal button down shirt underneath. My favorite color, but he wouldn't have known that. His shirt matched my dress. “Wow’, I thought to myself. Anyka is screaming" Mate Mate Mate, in my head. “Mate” the stranger and I said at the same time.

We were lost in each other's eyes. I didn't even know that everyone else at the table were seated while we were locked in our Stare. I dropped my eyes and realized they had indeed been seated. I sit next to Kyralynn, who elbows me and asks “Aren't you going to find out who your mate is?” Kyralynn’s mate speaks up “Hi I’m Alpha Blake of the Autumn Moon pack. What's your name?”

“My name is Adalayde,” I said. “Since the cat has your mate's tongue at the moment, I'll tell you. Your mate is my Beta Mycah,”Alpha Blake said. Anyka is so happy in my head. She is drooling. Our mate is soooo hot mnnnnn I can't wait to get to know them. ‘You are such a little slut’ What? I have waited a long time for my mate. Have you looked at him? Drool worthy times 100. ‘Of course I have seen him, haven't you noticed I couldn't take my eyes off of him?’

I finally sit down next to Kyralynn and enjoy dinner, the food and the eye candy of my mate.

Mycah

I'm sitting at our assigned table with the rest of my packmates. Alpha Blayke is next to me. We are waiting for dinner to begin. I hear the announcement of Kyralynns arrival. I stand up with the other guests and clapped as Kyralynn came into the hall. As she was walking acrriss the room to her table, her eyes were stuck on one thing. I looked and that thing happened to be Alpha Blayke.

“Mate.” They both said together. I am so happy for Blayke. He has been waiting to meet his fated mate for a long time. Blayke walked over to meet his mate. They talked between themselves for a few minutes before Alpha Dan and Luna Wyllow walked up to them. I'm not sure what was said. Alpha Dan turned to our table and said, "Autumn Moon pack please come over here. You are all going to sit at our table.”

We all got up and moved to their table. I noticed there was a woman already sitting there. She is the most beautiful woman I have ever laid eyes on. She had a beautiful red twisted up really fancy, and I couldn't believe she was wearing a teal-colored corset dress. I didn't even know her when I was getting dressed. I, too, was in a teal shirt under my tux coat. Onyx is jumping around like a dog with a bone, screaming Mate, Mate, Mate. “Mate” we both say together. It's like time just stopped. We were the only two in the room. I don't know how long we stood there. It was long enough that the rest of my pack was already seated. She broke eye contact and sat down. I couldn't help myself. I am struck in awe by her beauty, that I couldn't make my head and mouth do anything.

“My name is Adalayde,” She said. Even her name was hot. I was sitting across from Adalayde for dinner. I couldn't even pay attention to anything going on except for Adalyade. Our mate is so beautiful. I can't wait to see her wolf. I bet she is beautiful too. Onyx said, “She is so beautiful. Onyx, How did we get so lucky to have her as our fated mate?”

“Adalayde, your dress is beautiful” I said. “We didn't even know each other before this party, but we are both wearing the same color. We must be Mint to be.” “Seriously dude, is that the best thing you could come up with to talk to your mate about? Mint to be, Hahahahaha.” Blayke, laughingly said. Everyone at the table, including my mate, laughs. “Teal is my favorite color.” Adalayde tells me. Onyx, still drooling in my head, We pleased our mate before we even knew we had a mate, he said. I’m pleased as well.
