**TWO MONTHS LATER** Messiah Jordy "Ouch!" I cried at the top of my voice. I had tried to turn on my stomach, but the kick from the baby in my womb was more than enough to reset my brain. I sometimes forgot that there were certain positions I had been advised not to turn on, or lie on, during my pregnancy. Why was it so difficult being a pregnant woman? My room door flung open and Slauson came running in with a glass of water in his hands. His hair was disheveled and he was clad in nothing but a pair of grey joggers.
