Meeting Alpha Jones

Once we got to Alpha Jones’ office I knocked and was greeted with a polite “come in.” I opened the door to see Alpha Jones sitting in front of his desk motioning for us to take a seat. I took Christa’s hand and guided her into his office. Alpha Jones, this is Christa, we met at the mall today.” I announced with pride in my eyes. Alpha Jones came around and shook her hand giving her a warm smile. “Please have a seat. I just need to ask a few questions.” Alpha Jones said motioning to the chairs again. “First of all congratulations to you both, you look like a cute couple.” Alpha Jones said. “Secondly which pack are you currently in?” “I’m from the Big River pack that’s about twenty minutes away from here.” She calmly stated. “Ah Alpha Richarson’s pack. He’s a good guy. We’ve got an alliance with him. Let me call him really quick and we’ll discuss you coming to school here.” Alpha Jones told her as he walked back to his desk picking up the phone dialing the number and putting it on speaker. “Hello Alpha Richardson here,” came the voice as soon as it was answered. “Hello Alpha Richardson, Alpha Jones here I have a unique situation to discuss with you if you can spare a few minutes.” Alpha Jones quickly replied. After explaining everything to Alpha Richardson we heard him chuckle then state “I have no problem with letting her come to your pack school to be closer to her mate.” He quickly stated then said softer “You need to ask her father though I know of her mother’s health and I’m not sure if the extra stress will be a burden on him.” “I understand Alpha thank you for your time. I'll let you go then we’ll contact her father.” Alpha Jones told him a minute later. “You’re quite welcome and congratulations to the new mates. I hope your future brings you peace, harmony and everything you could ever wish for.” Alpha Richardson said before hanging up the phone. “What is your father’s name?” Alpha Jones asked Christa, “Gale Linthrop” she told him while giving him her dad’s number. “Hello.” Mr. Linthrop answered after 2 rings of the phone. “Mr. Linthrop, Alpha Jones of the Blue Jay’s pack here I just have a question for you.” After explaining the situation to her father and explaining that their Alpha gave his consent to let her come to school at his pack Alpha Jones gave Mr. Linthrop a few minutes to digest the situation. “If transportation is an issues I can arrange for someone to pick her up and bring her home Mr. Linthrop.” Alpha Jones simply stated. “Can I talk to my daughter for a moment.” Came over the line.” “Of course I know it's a lot to take, here she is.” Alpha Jones stated taking the phone off the speaker and handing her the receiver. With a lot of “yes sir’s” and “I promise daddy” Christa finally said “Thank you daddy.” Handing the receiver back to Alpha Jones she said “He had to go mom is needing something but said he’d transfer me over on monday.” “Welcome to heartland High then. If you need anything you know where my office is and I’m sure Tucker will be a big help.” Turning to Tucker Alpha Jones started again. “Once you and Christa are done talking I’d like you to come talk to me privately.” After saying this he dismissed the couple. A couple hours later Tucker said goodbye to Christa and walked back to Alpha Jones’ office knocking on the door once more. “Come in” came the voice from inside. “Alpha, you wanted to see me?” Tucker said politely. “Yes, I have a few questions for you if you wouldn’t mind sitting down for just a few minutes.” Alpha Jones replied, motioning once again for him to have a seat. “I’m happy you found your mate but I’m curious how your wolf is reacting to this news?” Alpha Jones asked curiously. “It’s weird Alpha, he’s been pouting ever since I caught a whiff of my mate this afternoon. When I asked her to go to a stream for some privacy he yelled at me. Then he’s been ignoring me this whole time that I was talking to Christa. I thought he’d be happy but it feels like he’s sulking.” I replied honestly. “Hhmm, that is weird, do you have any ideas as to why that is?” Alpha Jones asked again. “I don’t know he didn’t even pick up Christa’s scent and couldn’t even feel the pull towards her.” I replied even more confused. “I have a theory if you’d like to hear it.” Alpha Jones quickly said again. “I’m all ears.” Was my reply. “For many years a lot of packs have been at war.” Alpha Jones started. “This war has caused a lot of deaths, and a lot of wolves to turn rouge. A few years ago there was a prophecy that two unmated wolves would produce a child that would stop the wars and bring the rogues back to the packs. For as long as I can remember I thought it meant someone stepping outside of their mateship. That was until yesterday.” “What happened yesterday that made you change your mind?” Tucker asked bewildered. “I was mind-linked to come to handle a pregnancy between two unmated wolves who were only teenagers.” Alpha Jones said, watching Tucker's face as he finally grasped what was being told to him. “You think Kayla is the prophesied baby?” Tucker barely choked out the words as reality finally caught him. “Let me ask this, have you ever heard of two wolves mating and reproducing without a mate bond, or the female being in heat?” Alpha Jones went straight to the point. “Honestly no, we don’t even know what got into our wolves. We were kind of flirting but just being teenagers. Not thinking anything of it. Trent, my wolf was begging me all day to go for a run so I asked Ashlynn if she wanted to as well.” Tucker replied honestly. “So even though you just found your mate your wolf isn’t happy right?” Alpha Jones asked even though he knew the answer. “Correct, he’s been whining and calling for Addy, which is Ashes wolf.” Tucker started realizing what Alpha Jones was saying. “So even though Christa is my mate Trent and Adison are mates. How is this going to work out without breaking anyone's heart? Tucker asked with his head down so confused. “I don’t know son, but there's bound to be some trials up ahead. We might want to keep this from Ash for the time being until we think she can handle it. The first few weeks of pregnancy are stressful even for werewolves like us. I promise to help protect your daughter as well to my fullest capabilities.” Alpha Jones promised him before sending him to his room to think everything over. Once back in his room Tucker saw his bags laying at the end of his bed and grinned. He quietly walked over to Ashes room and opened the door. Seeing she was already asleep made him smile. He quietly walked to her side and knelt down. “Kayla daddy’s here for you, I’ll always be here for you. I love you, and would give my life for you. Be good for mommy and know we’ll see you soon.” He whispered to Ashes belly before placing a kiss on it and walking out the door.
