Meanwhile, Benedict and Ryia along with the group of villagers begin their three day journey towards Riverwood, a place where they could be welcomed in open arms to seek refuge. Despite not having enough facilities to carry their belongings on their journey, the villagers manage with whatever they could find while sharing it with the rest of the villagers for assistance. As Benedict and Ryia lead, she suddenly gets her thrown onto a slippery slope when she takes a misstep. "Ryia!" yelled the Innkeeper. "Oh... s**t!" screams Ryia as she slides down the slope rapidly without being able to stop and falls deep within. "Ryia, hold on, I'm coming!" yelled Benedict as he too falls down the slope to join her. "Benedict, you i***t! stop!" yelled Tim to make him stop but seemed to have been too late since Benedict already made the jump. Meanwhile, below as Ryia slides down, she gets herself thrown down onto surface below which hurts her a bit but manages to recover herself despite the bruises on her skin due to sliding. While she recovers, a small figure is seen murmuring from below which is revealed to be Benedict coming down, screaming while sliding down the slope, she runs as Benedict lands down on his face as Ryia leaps aside to safely. "Oh, my face." said Benedict as he fallen down while Ryia rushes to check on him. "Oh my god, Benedict! are you alright?" asked Ryia. "Yeah.. I'm fine, just a bit bruised, and a broken nose." said Benedict as Ryia checks on him. The nose doesn't seem that broken, just bit dislocated, here, let me fix it." said Ryia as she pops it back into place. "Ow!!" yelled Benedict. "Sorry." said Ryia. "Where are we?" asked Benedict as he looks around. "I don't know, some kind of cave den maybe? Huh, look at that." said Ryia pointing out to a large broken seal in on one of the walls of the cave. "Is that a seal or something?" asked Benedict as he takes a closer look. "Hey! are you alright down there?" yelled Burton from above. "Yeah, we're fine, send us some ropes!" yelled Benedict back. "On it, be careful and for Divine's sake, watch your step next time." said the Innkeeper. "Yes sir, we will." said Benedict as he notices Ryia peeping within into the broken part of the seal. "What are you doing?" asked Benedict. "Look, there's tunnel in here." said Ryia. "What?" asked Benedict. "Yeah, help me with this." said Ryia as she tries to push a broken part of the seal to which Benedict helps and soon, they move it a bit, paving a way for them to move. "Woah, there is a tunnel in there?" asked Benedict. "Uh... Bene, there appears to be no ropes, but we're working something, hold on." yelled Burton. "No rush, we'll be here." yelled Benedict back and just as he checks on Ryia, he gets shocked to see her going within. "Ryia! wait." said Benedict as he enters through the dark tunnel to see Ryia observing all the carvings and runes by the walls. "Look at this, someone carved these in." said Ryia as she observes. "Yeah, I don't feel good about this, why don't we just go back and wait for the ropes?" asked Benedict. "Don't be a baby, come on." said Ryia. "Hey, I'm not a baby, wait up." said Benedict as he rushes to follow her. "Look at this, these are all stories." said Ryia. "Stories?" asked Benedict. "Yes, I've read about them in the precursors chapter, it's like a drawing that describes what happened using dialogues within." said Ryia. "Huh? sounds really... comic, so what does this story tell?" asked Benedict. "There is so many to tell, but they all have one in common." said Ryia as she looks upon the depiction of a dragon in one of the carvings. "Is that a.. Dragon?" asked Benedict. "Yes, it says.. by the Divine, quickly, come on." said Ryia as she starts running deeper. "Ryia! exit is that way, urggh.." said Benedict as he goes after her while she leads him much deeper, onto the end of the tunnel where stumble onto a circular ring, made of white chalky cement as floor, with a long thin pillar on the center with a spiky end. Surrounding this circular end is filled with various kinds of stories of dragons imbued with golden jewels and diamonds over it. "Woah." Benedict as he and Ryia stand shocked by their surroundings. "This is.. amazing." said Ryia as she excites herself by looking at the wonderful creations around them. "Bet we could even buy a village with this much gold." said Benedict. "And we just stumbled onto it, can you believe it?" asked Ryia. "What did the carvings say?" asked Benedict. "Stories of dragons who lived in this den." said Ryia. "Wait, what?" asked Benedict. "It's fascinating, all the wars, the battles, even the coronations, everything is recorded onto the walls, except for that." said Ryia pointing out to the pillar. "Sorry, did you just say, dragons lived, as in this very den?" asked Benedict. "Used to, a very long time ago, but not this section, the cave we fell into was the Dragon's Den." said Ryia as she reads into the walls of the circular end. "How can you be sure? and.. if that was the Dragon's den, then what the hell is this? seemed a bit small of a dragon, don't you think?" asked Benedict. "This place, it was recorded by a.. woman?" asked Ryia. "Didn't know dragons were into feminism?" asked Benedict. "No you i***t, this is something more, I can't seemed to read what's Glyphed here, it's written off Ancient Draconic" said Ryia as Benedict approaches. "Hmm.. I think it means, Bride of the Dragon?" asked Benedict. "You read Ancient Draconic?" asked Ryia. "No, no, no, I made it up." said Benedict as he chuckles but gets hit by Ryia in a teasing rage. "Ouch." said Ryia. "This place is amazing, I can't think we actually just stumbled onto it." said Ryia. "Maybe Destiny brought us here." said Benedict. "Benny, this isn't a joke, look at this place." said Ryia. "Yeah, it's breathing taking, I agree, wait did you just call me Benny?" asked Benedict. "No, I did not." said Ryia as she fake coughs and diverts herself from reading the glyphs again. "You did, why?" asked Benedict. "Stop talking nonsense Benedict, I did not." said Ryia as she walks towards the pillar on the center of it. "Uh.. okay, so, what's the spiky thing's deal then?" asked Benedict. "I do not know, none of the carvings ever mention about it." said Ryia. "Oh, maybe it was misplaced or something?" said Benedict. "Or it's guarding something." said Ryia as she plunges her finger onto the spiky end. "Ryia, what are you doing?" asked Benedict as he pulls her hand away from the pillar and attempts to clean the wound using his bottle of water and a piece of cloth he teared while Ryia glances at him but just as he looks back, she turns away. "You shouldn't do something like that, ever heard of sleeping damsel?" asked Benedict. "That was a nail or something, this was a pillar." said Ryia. "Both have pointy ends, and if you fall into endless sleep, who would carry you? a dragon?" asked Benedict. "Maybe, what about my bride to be?" asked Ryia. "Then he would be the dumbest i***t to leave you get hurt in the first place." said Benedict when suddenly they hear noises afar. "Benedict? Ryia? you guys in here?" yelled Tim. "Looks like they're here." said Ryia. "Come on." said Benedict leading Ryia with him. Just as they enter back from the broken seal, they see Tim and Burton carefully landing down the Innkeeper who seemed to be afraid of heights. "Father!" yelled Ryia to which the Innkeeper loses grip and falls down to which Ryia rushes to him while Burton approaches Benedict. "Where the hell were you boy? we've been yelling for hours!" yelled Burton. "Sorry, we found a tunnel, you gotta come check this out." said Benedict as he leads Burton inside the broken seal tunnel. Soon, as few villagers, along with Ryia and her father venture onto the circular end of the tunnel, they find Burton stunned by the load of jewels all over the place. "How did you say you found this place again?" asked the Innkeeper while being astounded by its wonder. "We stumbled onto it, but thank god we did, look at all this gold." said Ryia. "This is enough to set us for life." said Burton. "Or establish a village of our own." said Benedict to which Burton smiles. "Then let us get right to it." said Burton as villagers start mining down the jewels within the tunnel as best as they can. Each and every villagers give out their best and soon, they've managed to hoard so much gold which they're unable to carry it all. After leaving out a whole lot within the tunnel itself, they shut the broken seal and take a hefty amount of jewels with them as they climb above. Soon, the villagers who seemed saddened by leaving their home have turned into cherished state once the gold landed on their coin. With promises and enough wealth to start their own village, they keep heading towards Riverwood, but as they go through the woods, a few bandit scouts spot them from afar and whispers within them as they fade into the shadows. "I can't believe it lad, so much gold just lying down there, you should be thankful for Ryia, had she not slipped down there, we've would have never came across it." said Burton. "She is special, is she not? all the glyphs and the carvings, she read most of it, can you believe it?" asked Benedict. "I sure can, like her mother, Ryia is a gifted and talented woman, I only wish Meiuka was here to see her grow." said Burton. "Who told you she left?" asked Benedict pointing out to Ryia talking with her father.
