Nang tuluyang humupa ang kanyang nararamdaman, bumagsak ang katawan niya at halos gumapang na siya palapit sa laptop. Nang mabalutan ang katawan ng kumot, nilunok niya ang kanyang laway upang pawiin ang panunuyo ng kanyang lalamunan saka siya nagsalita.

Bumuntong hininga siya. "Okay."

KINAKABAHANG bumaba si Teissa ng taxi patungo sa address na sinabi ni Andres sa kanya. She just graduated from college. Pwede na silang magkita ni Andres kaya naman dadalhin daw siya ng kaibigan nito sa espesyal na lugar kung saan ito naghihintay.

Teissa scanned the place and realized that it was the same building where Alec De Vera had brought her before when he gave her a ride to Isabela.

"Are you Teissa?" tanong ng lalakeng naghihintay sa labas ng address kung saan siya ibinaba ng taxi.

"Uhm, yes," sagot niya sa lalakeng halatang may dugong banyaga dahil sa kulay asul na mga mata nito.

He offered his hand. "Linel. Linel Shault. I'll be giving you a ride to Monte Costa."

Natigilan si Teissa. "M-Monte Costa?"

"Yeah. Where the clubhouse is," he casually said then led her towards the elevator.

Nalukot naman ang noo ni Teissa. Clubhouse daw? Parang . . . ganoon sa sinalihan ng pinsan niya at . . . ni Armani?

Linel took her to the helipad where a gray helicopter is waiting. Gaya ni Alec ay tinulungan siya nitong isuot ang lahat ng dapat isuot. Ang kaibahan lamang ay nasa harap na siya ngayon dahil dalawa lamang sila ni Linel na magpapalipad ng helicopter.

A part of her is eager to ask about the clubhouse. Kaya lang ay pinangunahan siya ng hiya dahil hindi niya naman kilala si Linel. Who knows? Baka ibang clubhouse din naman ang tinutukoy nito at hindi iyong pinatayo ng brotherhood na sinalihan nina Armani? Ayaw niya namang mag-assume.

Teissa became silent the entire trip. Inaliw na lamang niya ang sarili sa panonood ng mga tanawin sa labas. It was refreshing to slowly see trees as they got farther and farther from Manila. Hindi rin nagtagal ay mas marami na rin siyang nakitang puno at bulubundukin.

Their trip was smooth. Linel gave her a heads up when they got closer to Monte Costa. Namilog pa ang mga mata ni Teissa nang mapagtantong nasa tabing dagat mismo ang lugar. She could see the large clubhouse from a distance. Probably a kilometer away from what seems to be a resort.

She heard Linel scoffed. "Your husband is already waiting. May hindi makapaghintay," he chuckled.

Unti-unting bumaba ang helicopter. Teissa was still smiling when she spotted someone leaning against a luxury car. The guy squinted his eyes as he watched the helicopter land, and the moment Teissa realized who it was, she turned to Linel with her eyes slightly widened.

"W-When you said my husband is already waiting for me, w-were you referring to the man leaning on a Rolls Royce?" she asked.

Linel smirked. "He sure is." He glanced at her husband. "Atty. Armani f*****g Reino De Alba himself . . ."
