After All This Time

"I just want to hold you"

Dear me,

We’re in London! We went from the airport straight to the hotel. It’s a really fancy hotel, I’m starting to wonder if they’re rich cause Chloe told me on the plane that they go to Europe every year. That’s kind of insane, it costs so much to come here and then it’s also a really fancy hotel. Chloe and I are now in our hotel room and the others are in their room. Chloe is currently annoyed at me because I’m writing in my diary instead of kissing her and she is reading over my shoulder right now so in about 2 seconds she’ll punch me in the arm. Yup she punched me. I better stop before she kills me.

“Did t-you really have to punch me, it hurt.” I say as I run my hand over where she punched me.

‘I’m sorry.” She says and laughs a little.

“You’re forgiven.” I laugh too.

When we first walked into the room Sherley, Jack and Steph came with us to see if everything would be okay here and we saw that it was a room with a double bed. So me and Chloe would have to sleep on the same bed.

“I’ll go ask downstairs for another room with 2 separate beds.” Jack said as we all stood there. But Chloe told him that it wouldn’t be a problem. I don’t get how her parents aren’t suspicious about it at all.

“Come kiss me before we have to go to dinner and before my parents walk through that door.” Chloe says annoyed that she hasn’t kissed me yet since we came here. I walk closer to her and give her a kiss on her cheek to annoy her even more. I walk away again but she grabs my arm and turns me around and kisses me deeply on my lips. “You’re annoying.” She says when we break the kiss.

“I know.” I say and kiss her again but I quickly push her away when I hear the door knob turn and Chloe falls on the bed.

“Emma!” She yells a little angry. Sherley, Jack and Steph come in our room.

“Are you two fighting again?” Sherley asks, she must have heard Chloe yell my name in anger.

“No no we’re not.” Chloe says and I nod my head.

“We’re all fine.” I say and smile.

“Okay good, let’s get to dinner and then go to sleep cause it’s been a long flight.” Jack says and we all go out of the hotel and we try to find a restaurant where we can eat.

We’re all pretty tired from the plane. It was so damn long. It’s 12 pm at home back in Oregon, here in London it’s 8 pm. We’re all so tired, we could fall asleep in the restaurant while we’re eating.

When we’ve found something that’s decent enough we go in and everyone immediately orders spaghetti because it’s made quickly and then we can go back to the hotel soon so we can all go to sleep.

We don’t talk during dinner. We all just eat fast so we can go to the hotel fast and also because we’re hungry. Airplane food is not the best.

When we finish eating we all go back to the hotel. Sherley, Jack and Steph are walking a little ahead of Chloe and me. Chloe suddenly holds my hand. Her hand is so soft and I like to hold it.

“What if your parents notice?” I ask her making sure that her parents couldn’t hear me.

“They won’t, they don’t pay attention to me.” Chloe answers.

“They do pay attention to me.” I say a little too loud and I think Sherley heard me because she turned around. I shrug my hand out of Chloe’s grip so she wouldn’t see.

“You okay Emma?” She asks me and I nod smiling.

“Great I can’t even hold my girlfriend’s hand.” Chloe says angrily. Did she just call me her girlfriend?

“What?” I say a little shocked and stop walking.

“What’s wrong?” She asks me as I stand there frozen.

“You- you called me your girlfriend.” I stutter.

“Well yeah aren’t you?” She asks a little unsure.

“Yeah I guess it’s just that you said it for the first time and I was shocked.” I say still standing frozen.

The others walk up to us since we stopped walking. “Everything okay?” Jack asks.

“Yeah everything is fine, Emma is just really tired and she asked me to carry her.” Chloe says and smirks a little at me but her parents couldn’t see it. I sigh, I don’t wanna be carried but now I’ll have to give in.

“Yeah um that’s it.” I say and look annoyed at Chloe.

“Okay well let’s go, the sooner we get to the hotel the sooner we can sleep.” Jack says and they start walking again.

“Hop on.” Chloe says pleased with herself and she stands ready for me to get on her back so she’d carry me. I hop on her and Steph looks behind het to us.

“Hey I’l tired, can I have a piggy back ride too?” Steph says complaining. She hops on her dad’s back.

“I don’t need to be carried you know.” I whisper annoyed into Chloe’s ear.

“I’m tired.” Chloe says and falls with her back on the bed.

“You were the one that wanted to carry me.” I say laughing.

“I wanted it.” Chloe says smirking.

“And I’m the one that’s annoying.” I say laughing and I sit on the bed next to her.

“I just want to hold you.” She says and sits up and takes a hold of my hand. She looks at me straight in the eyes and she leans in closer to me so she can kiss me. I put my hand on her cheek and get deeper into the kiss. Her lips are so soft. I could kiss them forever but suddenly she stops.

“Why did you stop?” I ask disappointed. “I need to breath you know.” Chloe says and I laugh.
