After All This Time

Back in Oregon

Dear me,

We just came back with to the hotel from the Harry Potter studio tour. It was so amazing. I had so much fun, I think the others were pretty bored. None of them had watched or read Harry Potter so they didn't understand anything. I was freaking out the whole time because all of it. It was so much to take in and I had so much fun. I know I keep repeating that I had a lot of fun but I did and I can't believe Chloe got her parents to buy us all tickets it must have been pretty expensive. I'm so lucky I have this family, They've already done so much for me and I couldn't thank them enough. When Mark said that this family was going to be good for me, I would have never expected to be this happy around these people but here I am and I couldn't be happier. I think this is the happiest I've been my whole life. Wait... What if Sherley and Jack decide to adopt me, then me and Chloe couldn't date anymore. Can we even ever go public? We're just stuck, we have to keep this our little secret. It's not even that little anymore, we're in love and what if Chloe is the one I'm supposed to be with, would we have to keep it for ourselves our whole life? I'm stressing too much again. Anyways, Sincerely me.

Chloe just gets out of the bathroom as I just finish writing in my diary. "Did you enjoy today?" She asks me. I nod my head and smile. "Very much, it was so much fun, I can't believe this happened honestly." I say still in disbelief that I was on that tour just a few hours ago. "Actually, being there made me wanna watch Harry Potter. So maybe someday we can watch it?" Chloe says and I nod. "Yes yes yes yes." I say excitedly like a little girl. I stop acting childish and look at Chloe. "I'm sorry I get way too excited about this stuff." I say and Chloe chuckles.

"You're very cute when you're excited." She says and pecks my lips. "Come lay with me." I motion for Chloe to lay next to me on the bed and she does. She gets closer to me and she wraps her arms around me as we're both laying on our sides. "I love you." I say as I look right into Chloe's eyes. "I love you too munchkin." She says and I smile at the pet name she gave me. She's the cutest.

I move in closer to her and bury my head between her shoulder and her neck. "Thank you for everything." I say onto her neck. "Everything I do is just because I love you so much." She whispers and kisses my cheek. I melt away as she kisses me. How does she do that? She could say anything or do anything and it would make my heart melt.

She holds me tight into her embrace as I slowly breath in and out onto her neck leaving soft kisses from time to time. I start to drift away and soon I fall asleep.

A few days later, they're back in Oregon at home.

"Hey Emma, it's getting harder to know where you are and well we need to know cause we're your legal guardians so we bought you a phone. We thought you could use one for your personal life and to contact with us when you need to, I'm sorry it took so long but it's all yours now, you don't have to worry about paying anything." Sherley tells me with Jack standing next to her as I was watching Harry Potter on the computer that they also gave me. "Thank you omg, thank you." I say getting up and giving them a hug. they are the sweetest, I don't deserve this sweet sweet family. I love them all so so much.

Jack and Sherley leave my room again and I keep watching Harry Potter while I also set up my phone. Someone knocks on my door, I look at who it is and it's Chloe. She was out with some friends cause she missed them a lot while we were in London. "You're home." I say excitedly. She comes over to sit next to me on my bed. "Yeah, did mom and dad give you a phone?" She asks as I was holding it in my hand. I nod my head. "Here I'll put my number in it." Chloe says and she takes my phone out of my hand and she puts her number in the contact list and then gives it back to me.

"At least I have one person in here." I say laughing a little. I know that my contact list will be very small. It'll probably only be Chloe, Sherley and Jack. "Hey, You'll have lots of friends and that contact list will be filled with people." Chloe says and I shake my head laughing a little. "Nah, It'll just be your parents and you." I say. "What about Brooke? She's your friend right?" Chloe asks. I nod my head. I haven't talked to Brooke since school ended, she didn't actually have a way to contact me so it's not like I could blame her. "I don't know her phone number." I say shrugging my shoulders. "I have it in my phone." Chloe says, she pulls out her phone and puts Brooke's number into mine.

"Why do you have her phone number?" I ask Chloe. "We used to be friends." Chloe answers shortly. It seems like she doesn't really wanna talk about it so I didn't comment on it anymore. "Call or text her and hang out with her, you can't watch and read Harry Potter all summer." She says and kisses my cheek and then she leaves. She's right, there's another month left of summer break and I can't just sit on my butt all summer long. I wish I could spend the whole time with Chloe though but she has a lot of friends so she wants to hang out with them too.

I still hadn't spoken much to Brooke so I'm still very nervous to talk to her, maybe I should just text her and ask her if she wanted to hang out or something. Or is that just being needy? She knows I don't really have much friends and that I'm very nervous around people.

I finally decide that I should text Brooke. I send her a message saying it was me and asked her if she wanted to hang out sometime. In a couple of minutes she already get a reply from Brooke. "Oh hey Emma, can you hang out tomorrow?" she asked me. I answer with a simple yes and sheasked me if we could hang out here in my house. I answered again with a simple yes. I must seem really boring to her. Ugh why is it so hard to talk to people even through text.
