Chapter two: getting to know the outcast
Munas pov
After letting me in he walked straight to the fire place leaving trails of water along the tiled floor, he tries putting on the fire but it wasn't turning on I guess the water dripping from his shirt wasn't letting the fire come up, he always wore baggy clothes so I want surprised, he took of his shirt and the sight was amazing, he had well sculpted abs, but I didn't have enough time to admire them because he squatted and faced the fire place backing me.
But still I could see the ripped lines at his back and shoulder blades he was very hot, the flames finally came up, glowing orange on his face causing his almost white hair appear yellow,
“i don't know if you'll be comfortable taking a hot bath upstairs and taking of those wet clothes so that you don't catch a cold, my mom's old clothes are still in the closet, you can wear those" he said but I noticed that his countenance, had dulled when he mentioned his mom.
I just nodded as the heat of the fire had started to circulate round the whole house, I walked up to a door that he pointed to earlier, I grabbed unto the door knob and pulled open the door and got into the room it want fancy but it was neat, I liked the fact that a guy who was living on his own was able to keep the room clean.
I got into the bathroom and took off my wet clothes and turned on the shower, it was warm and refreshing, as the warm water hit my skin I used the soap that was available in the bathroom.
When I was done, I grabbed a towel form the rack and wiped my body with it I also had another one on my hair, I opened the door and fot out from the toilet I walked to his closet and opened it, it was filled mostly with his clothing, most of them baggy, I kept on browsing through, I thought he said he has his moms clothes here, that was when I noticed another closet closer to the dressing mirror, it was still brown just like this one.
i walked towards that and opened it, finally I said as I went through her clothes, his mom must have great tastes because these clothes were exceptional, I guess I know why he didn't throw them away, I pulled out one that was still similar to what I was wearing previously, a button up shirt, but it wasnt plain white it had flower patterns all over it.
And a really beautiful long trouser, it's colour was black, at least these woukd help keep the cold at bay, I thought as I wanted to put them on then I caught sight of his lotion, I was wondering if I should put it on but before I knew it my hand reached out for it and I applied it before putting the clothes on, the shirt was a little bit big on my body, it suggested that his mom had a slightly bigger body than mine.
I saw a portrait of him and his mother, he was younger and seemed happier, he had a cute boyish look, it made me smile he was a good looking kid, at the side of the portrait, I saw happy birthday Zaney, love mom.
I came out of the room he didn't notice me right away, the heavy sound of the rain drops made him not to hear the squeaking of the door, he was busy with two cups at the kitchen counter, I wondered what he was doing, the warmth of the living room was really nice it made my body stop shivering for a bit, “those clothes fit you better than they do me" he said nonchallantly though he didn't turn back, so he had seen me after all.
“the shirt is a bit big, but it's okay, I never really liked tight fitting clothes anyway" I said still wierded out that he wore his mother's clothes, he turned around with a tray containing two coffee mugs containing a black liquid, I just assumed it was coffee, approaching where I stood, but the way that he looked at the clothes, it was clear he hadn't gotten over the loss of his mother.
He was now putting on new clothes, that means he came into the room quickly and briefly too, the thought of him peeking into the bathroom made my stomach tighten even though I knew that the door was closed the whole time and the bathtub has a curtain over it.
Zane's pov
Looking at her brought back memories that I had tried really hard to forget, my mom lying in her sick bed fighting for her life, my dad trying his best to be strong but when she died he was so broken that he fell Ill also and died, leaving me alone in this cruel world alone. I have always been an outcast ever since I was little but my mom taught me how to smile always, she says “when you get to the darkest point in your life always smile, that's when the light begins",
I'll always remember that, I just smiled when I finally regained my composure, “thanks for the shower it was zen" she said with a light smile on her face, I smiled too as I got closer to her, “i don't drink coffee" she said again as she stared at the cup in my hand, “ohh neither do I and these aren't coffee" I said as I handed one over to her, holding the tray in my other arm like a butler does, this causes a slight chuckle from her.
“its hot chocolate, and believe it or not one of the places that I have worked in a parlour that serves this delicious drinks" I said again trying to make my accent a little bit french, “is that so, why'd you stop" she asked, then i remembered after my mom and dad died I didnt have any reason to keep living, I felt like the walls o a very big building was closing in on me, I didn't see the reason to continue working, I lost that job because of lack of concentration.
“dont worry about it,... Uhh... What's your name?" I asked her just realising that I didn't know her name all this while. “i am Muna Wescott, the current lu..." She held her words in its track, “so Zaney which other jobs have you done?" She asked and I smiled, my mom was the only person that called me zaney, “well you see there is this mangrove beach that I worked before, very beautiful place I tell you,
it may be fall soon but the plants there don't dry out, nor shed their leaves, especially as it's raining heavily now it'll be even more luscious" I said still maintaining my smiley face. “id like to see this place sometime" she said, “its a good thing that I worked there maybe they will give me the x employee discount" I said as she just smiled looking at me.
“Zaney you aren't the way people see you, I want you I know that I see you for who you are, even if others don't" she said, it looked like my mother was talking to me, I felt teary but boys don't cry, ao I told my self and I just smiled, we just spent time looking at each other, I sipped my drink, and broke of eye contact and so did she, the hot liquid streamed down my throat warming me up I smiled, it was nice the both of us stared at the window as the rain had started to subside,
“at this rate the rains would be over soon" I said “yeah it would and I would have to return to that...." She held her words, she had a lot to say but I'm sure she wondered how it would go down in my ears that why she dosn't complete her words with me,
She walked towards the couch and picked up a paper bag, I assumed it was her wet clothes, “thanks for the clothes and everything else, I'll hold you up to what you said about the mangrove swamp" she said smiling as she opened the door, the rain was just a faint drizzle now, I just nodded.

“How would I find you, I'm not allowed any where near the alpha's domain," he said
“ill find you" I simply said, I was outside, I gently closed the door then I sighed, preparing to go back to that hell hole.
