Chapter five: my inner wolf

Trevor's pov

Drake had been in a really foul mood, ever since Muna stood him up at the altar, it had been a couple of hours now, it had gotten dark, the moon was up and shiny, Drake had a really evil look in his face, he was going to harm Muna if he, got his hands on her.

He was in his throne as usual, sitting and fuming seriously as the wolf members that he sent to look for her came back with a report, “Alpha Drake, rumors have it that she went out with the outcast" if I thought that Drake was angry before then I was mistaken, the look in his face now was three times as worse than the way it was originally, but he was still calm and composed.

“so I trust you found out where they went?" He asked with anger evidently still in his voice, they shivered, “Alpha Drake no one followed them down to where they went, they only saw them leave towards the mountain district, that place breaks up to so many different roads it'll be difficult to track them the best course of action would just be to wait, and when they come back we xould take it from there, the scout said.

It seemed that the composure that Drake was trying to keep calm suddenly busy, “toy were stupid enough to hear that my Luna, is with a nobody, and you didn't happen to track them down, instead you came here giving me excuses, and try to advise me on what to do!" He rose from his seat with so much force that cause everyone around him to shift, he pinned the scout in the wall, as he struggles for breath.

He was really angry, but he knew that killing a fellow member of the pack was a crime that could cost him his position as alpha, so he just dropped the scout aa hw just collapsed on the floor.

I could easily tell that Drake was wa going to kill Zane when he comes back, but I couldn't let that happen, I left the others at the house and went outside in seaech of Zane grey said he went to the mountains there is a mangrove beach there where he used to work, I bet that's wheree they are, I bwtter fo warn them, my bones shifted and black fur covered my face and the rest of my body, I wanted to howl but that would only attract their attention, so I just started running, heading towards the direction that I believed that they were.

Munas pov

Being with Zane was so fun that I didn't know when the sun was down, the both of us where seated on a log I wood on the open field, he ha thought me how to catch a fish and now we were roasting our quarry, there waa this thing out fire that I loved, “you know I never knew the beauty of fire until recently" I said as I just noticed that the atmosphere was cold, I used my hands to hug myself, with my two hands.

He wasn't wearing a jacket, but just a thick long shirt, he took it off revealing a singlet that didnt hide his chest, they were hairy and a little bit buldging, I wanted to touch them, I heard my wolf again, control your self I yelled underneath my voice in my head, but it wasn't working, he didn't help matters at all as e wore me his shirt filling me with his scent my sense of smell had been developing acutely, and now this smell was completely driving me crazy, I couldn't take it anymore, my eyes turned blue, he noticed it,

“are you alright?" He asked concerned as the sound of the fishes seeing in the fire could be heard, I stood up abruptly, “im fine never better" I said admist slight pain in my joints, I couldn't take them anymore I, started running in the forest, “Muna hold up did I do something wrong!" He asked as I was starting to run now he followed suit, I ran into the deeper parts of the mangrove forest, my bones were expanding as blood was oozing from my nose and ears, I started removing my clothes knowing fully well that I was going to rip them off.

My bones shifted, my body ached, I screamed as I finally shifted.

Zane's pov

Shw ran away from me I wondered why, though I had a hunch her eyes were now bright blue, matches the clothes that she was wearing, she ran away from me towards the forest, and I followed her running, I heard sounds of someone going through the forests, in a haste and I just followed that, it fot to a point that I saw her, clothes on the floor, thaen I heard a really loud scream, “oh it's as I suspected" I said underneath my breath.

I saw a grey wolf, with red highlights around it's body, it had a blue eyes, and it was huge, it just stared at me not moving, “muna I know that it's you and I am not scared" I said even though deep down I was fidgeting, whenever a person morphes newly, they do not easily control the wolf so I was scared that she could kill me here if I wasn't careful.

She lundged towards me, and I was frozen, I wanted to run but before I could move she had pinned ime down, wagging her tail, I smiled “hiw does it feel?" I asked as she just moved from me, then ssred to shift back, I took her clothes closer to her then turned my eyes the other way, I could hear the sound of bones breaking, that must be painful, I thought as I heard her pick up her dress from the floor.

“my whole body hurts this is insane" she said as she was still dressing up, “my bones feel like they have been broken over and over again" she said as she walked up behind me still holding her arms I turned to look at her, “shiftingvsounds painful" I said “yes it is, one of the bad oerks of being Luna I guess" she said and that just reminded me that our being together was only going to be for a short time,

“oh I forgot that you'll be marrying the alpha any moment from now" I said with sadness all over my voice, “zane can I tell you something?" She said it sounded urgent, I was scared it sounded like she wanted to tell me that she was terminal.

“i was supposed to get married to Drake today, that was what I delayed I was trying to make up my mind tog through with it or not, so I just decided to go on this date with you the result would tell me the outcome of my decision.“what does that even mean?" I asked her, “it means this" she said as sje kissed me deeply, it took me by surprise, as she pulled away from me, after holding her lips on mine briefly.

“we can't be together you know that right,?" I said as she was still staring at me, “i know but..." She had started to get frustrated, and I just kissed her back, shutting her up, we stayed there for a while as the kiss had started to get more intense, both our tongues struggled for dominance, as she pressed her fingers at the back of my neck, locking our lips in a tight lock.

Munas pov

Kissing him was the most electrifying experience ever, I couldn't get enough of him, he was so intoxicating, he tasted so good, his smell was heavenly, I knew that u liked him before but ever since I morphed it's as if another part of me had been unlocked, my inner wolf yearned all the more to be with him, it wasn't easy, to say no, I pulled unto his neck and depend the kiss, but he was starting to run out of breath so I let him catch his breath, I noticed that I was stronger and more durable too, far wasn't feeling the lack of air, the way he was I smiled he smiled back at me,

“i fell in love with you from the first time that I saw you helping me pick up the leaves, under the rain, I knew that i could count on you to help me through rough times, but...." Before he could finish his speech a rough sound was heard ushing through the forests the trees and grasses in the forests this out me on my guard.
