CHAPTER 16 “Take cover!” Mykal held his staff horizontally, which made running easier. He knew there weren’t many places for hiding. The arrow came from behind them, and possibly from above. He fought the urge to look back. Once safely out of a line of fire, he’d be in a better position to see what was what. It wasn’t himself he was worried about.
