A year later in December 2879, Sabina was meditating together with the other children of Eden in her light brigade. Under Sabina’s supervision, many of the children had acquired unique healing gifts, gifts that hadn’t been seen for thousands of years. While Sabina and her apprentices didn’t have access to any Zeto Crystals, the True Maker had shown Sabina how to channel the energies of the universe to create an aura where peace and harmony reigned and under the influence of that aura, incredible feats of healing could occur.
Suddenly, Sabina got visions from Elvonia where she could see how Rangda was tormenting the Elves on the dying planet. Rangda had locked up the Elves in cages and were now using them to drain their life force and power up her crystals. Seeing this terrified Sabina, but instead of letting this bring down her mood, she looked back in time to how Elvonia had used to be. The Elvonia of the past had been a paradise, where the whole planet flourished, everything was in balance, and every species were attuned to a life in bliss and happiness granted by the life-giving properties of the untainted Zeto Crystal. Now that the Zeto Crystal was gone, however, all life on Elvonia suffered. This was because all life forms of the planet had evolved to live attuned to the crystals, and when the crystals disappeared, none of the life on the planet was developed to the circumstances. Suddenly, Sabina heard the voice of The True Maker:
- Sabina, do you understand what happened on Elvonia?
Sabina:
- Yes, Rangda came and destroyed the planet.
The True Maker:
- Yes, but how could Rangda destroy a planet blessed by one of the Seven primordial Zeto Crystals, containing parts of my soul?
Sabina:
- With her army of monsters and evil men? The Elves of Elvonia were peace-loving creatures that hadn’t trained for warfare and stood no chance against Rangda.
The True Maker:
- Yes, on the surface that is what it looks like, but that wasn’t why Elvonia fell.
- Elvonia fell because their leader King Mellron gave in to his fears. Being a slave to his fears, Mellron used Elvonia’s Zeto Crystal to slay the invaders. When he chose to misuse the crystal this way, they lost their power, and he was powerless to resist when Rangda attacked him with her dark curses.
Sabina:
- But if he hadn’t done anything, the Xenos would have killed him and his whole entourage?
The True Maker:
- No, they wouldn’t have. The Xenos weren’t always evil. They evolved on a planet with rough conditions and lifeforms, not governed by the Zeto Crystals. This didn’t make them evil, just rugged and easy to influence. It was Rangda who turned them evil and made them a threat to the universe.
- If Mellron had tried to turn the attackers good instead of outright murdering them, things could have had another outcome.
Sabina:
- But Mellron tried to turn Melchior’s soldiers good, and they died anyway?
The True Maker:
- Yes, the Xeno-Martian hybrid is such an abominable and unnatural creation that the only thing that could keep them alive was the forces of darkness. Mellron, however, did what he could to save them and bring them to light. It was when he made the decision to slaughter the oncoming Xenos with fire magic, that he succumbed to the darkness and drained the Zeto crystal’s holy power.
Sabina:
- So, the lesson is to always try to do good, even in the face of adversity?
The True Maker:
- Yes, and to know what is right, one must first know yourself. You have come a long way, my child. I have hope in your ability to stop Rangda and Melchior and restore peace and balance to the Cosmos. But first you must tune and hone your skills, and to do so, you must save the Martians.
Sabina:
- But I am still just a child?
The True Maker:
- Yes, but in a few years, you’ll be ready. You’ll know when the time has come.
Sabina:
- Okay. There is one thing that I still don’t understand.
- If you are the Omnipotent and Omniscient Creator of the whole Cosmos, why can’t you stop Rangda?
The True Maker:
- I could stop her, but the consequences wouldn’t be pleasant.
- You see, my celestial holy powers are on a Cosmological scale. Just like you cannot kill a single bacterium in your body using your bare fist, I cannot kill a single evil individual using my hallowed Divine powers. My only way to kill Rangda would be to release a blast that would destroy the entire galaxy. I would do it if I had to, but I prefer not to.
- Instead, I try to use gifted individuals of light like you, to stop the forces of darkness.
Sabina:
- Thank you for telling me. This makes a lot of sense.
The True Maker:
- Yes. Now focus on your meditation and your spiritual abilities. Saving Mars would be the first step to foil Rangda’s evil plan.
After saying this, the True Maker disappeared from Sabina’s mind, and she felt at peace and more motivated than ever to focus and continue her training.
