The Vampire Luna

Chapter 8

We sat on the couch talking about many things. As the moon began to rise I said, “I think it’s getting late.” He smiled and said, “I don’t want this to end.” He had me on his lap and was hugging me tightly. I didn’t mind but knew that it would be a bad idea if we stayed together like this for much longer. My body craved him and even though we weren’t doing anything except cuddling, I wanted more. I said softly, “I still have work tomorrow.” He nodded and said, “Fine.” As he said that there was a knock on my door. I quickly got up and signaled him to be quiet. He nodded and I  stealthily but quickly made my way to the door. I looked through the peephole and saw James standing there. 

I opened the door and he said, “Hey, I wanted to talk to you about finding my mate.” I turned back and saw Sebastian looking at us. I turned to James and said, “That’s fine. I kind of figured out she was your mate.” He looked at Sebastian and said, “Who’s he?” I closed my eyes and scrunched my face as I said, “Just someone.” Sebastian walked up to me and said, “I’m her mate.” I covered my face and James began laughing uncontrollably. I was tomato red and I said upset, “Stop laughing, James.” He saw my upset face and he pulled me in for a hug but Sebastian gave a low growl before putting his hand between us then said, “I don’t think contact is necessary to stop laughing.” I looked at him and then said, “Please stop this.” James was laughing hard again and I covered my face. Sebastian grabbed me by the waist and said, “Who is he?” I looked up at him upsetly as I said, “He’s someone very important to me.” He frowned at me and James added, “I am her first everything.” I felt Sebastian tense up and I said quickly, “He has found his mate so that’s over.” James said with a devilish smile, “She can tell you all about it.” I was baffled by his words then he winked before closing the door and leaving. 

I was now standing facing a closed door and a very upset Sebastian. He let go of me and began walking away from me. I sighed loudly then said as I walked to where he was, “I don’t know what to tell you.” He sat down then said, “I think I should go before I do something I might regret.” I frowned then said, “Don’t tell me that you have not been with anyone?” He turned to me angrily and said, “Yes, I have but they don’t come visit me!” I crossed my arms then said, “That doesn’t bother me. We are both old enough to make our own decisions and I will not hold them against you.”  He relaxed a bit then said, “Sorry, I should go.” I nodded as I said, “Sure.” He took a deep breath and began to walk to the door. I sat down and he said as he looked at me, “I’m usually not like this.” I nodded and said, “Take care.” He began to walk to the door but I felt uneasy. I got up and as he opened the door I said, “You can come again tomorrow.” He quickly turned to me and said, “Is that okay?” I nodded then walked up to him and gave him a quick kiss. I was about to move away when he pulled me closer and deepened the kiss. I felt my body begin to heat up and his kiss got more passionate. 

As we kissed a very annoying voice said, “Who the hell is this, Alice?” I opened my eyes and saw Erick walking towards us. I quickly grabbed Sebastian and pulled him inside before closing the door. Erick began to pound on my door and I said, “I told you to leave me alone.” He now screamed, “WHO THE HELL IS THAT MAN?!!!” I saw Sebastian’s eyes turn black and his canines began to elongate as he growled. I quickly grabbed his face and said, “Look at me, relax.” He looked at me and I saw him relax a bit. I wasn’t sure what to do, if Sebastian fought Erick and killed him there would be a lot of problems. We are currently in a human infested building and there could be casualties. I sighed as I looked Sebastian in the eyes and kissed him. He deepened the kiss and I felt him calm down a lot so I pulled away slowly then said out of breath, “You can stay here with me tonight but I need you to stay calm, think you can do that?” He nodded and I saw him now much more calm but he was now aroused. I smiled and gave him another kiss before saying, “Don’t come out.” He nodded but was still upset that I was going out as I opened the door.

I grabbed Erick by the neck and said as I dragged him to the stairs, away from where Sebastian could hear, “You have been warned to stay away from me.” He glared at me and said, “You are my finance!” I sighed and said, “I broke that off a long time ago.” He grabbed my hands and began to move them away. I let him go and he said, “You will be mine!” I closed my eyes and said as my crimson eyes appeared, “I order you to leave me alone. If you get near me in any way that I don’t approve of, I will kill you.” He knelt down but his anger could be felt around him. I turned away then said, “Now leave.” He got up and began to walk away. I hate using this power I have over vampires, it makes me feel wrong.

Sebastian:

I was feeling nervous as I walked up to Alice's apartment. I had been there the other day but I was uninvited. I walked up to the door and knocked. She opened the door as she said, "Why are you here?" I was surprised she didn't ask me how I knew where she lived but I was glad she didn't. I give her a soft smile as I say, "I wanted to talk." She sighs as she lets me in a bit hesitantly. As I walk in I can smell ingredients so I take a deep breath and notice the scent of freshly made food so I say, "If I caught you in a bad moment I can leave?" She sighs again but says as she closes the door, "It's okay, I was almost done." I smile as I give her a nod. She begins to walk so I follow, not wanting to let her get away from me. 

We enter a room and it is a small kitchen but very tidy and it seems to be used a lot. After examining the place, I noticed her preparing two plates. She catches me off guard as she turns to me and says, "Will you have dinner with me?" I smile but feel myself blush as I say, "Of course." She blushes a bit but she tries to hide it by turning to the plates so I grabbed them from her as I said, "I can help you too." She closes her eyes and I can hear her heartbeat racing then she says, "Thank you." I walked back to the other room where I saw a table. I begin to place the plates across from each other on the table when she walks in and asks with a smile, "Do you like wine?" I look at her and say with a smile, "Yes." She walks up to me and places two wine glasses down then proceeds to open the wine bottle but I take it from her and say, "I can do this too." As I took the bottle our hands grazed and I felt the sparks but she quickly retracted her hand. I felt my heart break and I said sadly, "Sorry." She had a hurt look as she said, "Sorry, it was my fault." I opened the wine bottle and poured us each a glass. 

She sat down then said, "So, what do you want to talk about?" I sat across from her then said, "About you being my mate." She took a bite form her food then said after she swallowed it, "Can we talk about that after we finish eating?" I nodded, then took a bite from my meal and groaned. I said feeling the deliciousness form this meal, "This is amazing." I saw her blush as she said, "It's just a steak." I took another bite as I said, "This is one of the best steaks I have ever had." She took another bite as she said playfully, "Then you have not eaten many steaks." I gave her a smile as I ask, "Where did you learn to cook?" She took another bite as she said, "I dated a chef once." I got jealous from hearing that and I knew I had just glared at her without thinking but she gave me a smile. I felt myself blushing again as I said, "I'm sorry." This woman is making me look like a big apologetic softy with just her presence. She had continued eating and as she took her last bite she said, "I don't blame you for being jealous, it's part of your genes." I had also finished my food as she said that and I shook my head as I said, "I usually don't get jealous." She got up and took her plate so I followed her with my plate. She took my plate and began to wash them in silence.
