The Vampire Luna

Chapter 9

Sebastian:

As she finished washing the dishes she said, "Since we are done, let's go tot he living room to talk." I saw her dry her hands then began to walk. I followed her in silence trying to think of a way to make her realize that she is my mate. She sat on a sofa and as she did I saw her exposed skin and that made me wonder how she would react if I touched her. I saw her lift her legs on the sofa and pulled them close to her chest. I could see her tone legs and how the shorts hugged her thighs enough to make me want to pull them off so I sat away form her and look away before I got distracted more than what I already was. I was acting like a prepubescent teen. She said a bit amused, "What is a mate to you?"  I immediately looked her in the eyes as I said, "A mate is someone given to us to cherish, love and protect. She is our equal and our peace, she is our everything." I saw a flash of hurt pass her eyes then realization. 

She got up and said, "That is not possible." I got up determined and said, "Let me show you it is." She turned away from me but I quickly embraced her as I said softly in her ear, " You are more special to me than anyone else. You are my life and without you I will die." I felt my heart shatter as she said softly, "I can't reciprocate your feelings." I turned her around to face me and I said as I looked deep into her eyes, "That's bullshit and we both know it." She looked away and said, "No, it isn't." I felt her words piercing my heart more and more so I instinctively pulled her close to me close then said, "Want to test it out?" I saw her eyes widened and I pulled her even closer until we were a few centimeters away form each others lips then said, "Then reject me and end my suffering." I thought that if she felt the pull and she thought of rejection it would make her understand that she was not able to break our bond that easily but she surprised me when she closed her eyes as she said, "How you I do that?" I felt a sharp pain shoot through my chest and I froze for a few seconds before my body began to let her go slowly. I looked at her and saw her eyes closed so I walked to her room quickly and took her sword from her bedside then returned. She opened her eyes as I walked up her so I tried to give her a smile but I wasn't doing a good job at it so I handed her the sword as I said, " Pierce my heart and tell me that you will never love me." She took the sword and I closed my eyes but then I heard it fall to the floor. I looked at her but her eyes were closed as she said, "You should leave." I walked up to her and knelt in front of her as I said, "Please end my suffering now." 

I waited for her to pierce my heart and hopefully be finished by her hand but instead I felt those amazing sparks on my face and her soft touch only made my heart ache more as tears began to escape my eyes. I felt her lips on mine and I could smell her tears. I instinctively pulled her into a deeper kiss as I felt her radiance through that simple action. When I let go of her she was breathing roughly and she covered her face before she said, "You should leave." I said as I got close to her, "I don't want to be away form you." I saw her slowly remove her hands form her face as she said a bit hurt, "I can't be with you." I wanted to keep contact with her so I touched her face tenderly as I said, "I can wait if that is what you want." She closed her eyes as she said, "I'm a vampire. I can't be the mate of a werewolf." I smiled as I saw her beautiful eyes open and said, "I'm a werewolf Alpha and one of the most powerful." She passed her fingers through her hair as she said, "That doesn't make it any better." I smiled again seeing her concerned expression so I said, "We can talk about this for as long as you want." She smiles at me as she sits on the couch and says, "Let's talk about something else." I smiled as I sat down next to her and took her hand in mine. 

We sat there talking about small trivial things but we had gotten closer to each other. At the moment she was sitting on my lap and I had one arm around her waist. She looked towards her balcony and I followed her gaze as she said, "I think it's getting late." I smiled as I pulled her tighter into me and said, "I don't want this to end." She didn't push me away as I held her tighter but I could feel her become more nervous as she said softly, " I still have work tomorrow." I could feel her becoming more aroused as she told me to leave so I said as I nodded, "Fine." As soon as I said that there was a knock on her door. We quickly got alert and she motioned me to be quiet. I nodded as she began to move stealthily but efficiently towards the door. She looked through the peep hole before opening the door.  As soon as she opened the door a man said, "Hey, I wanted to talk to you about finding my mate." She turned to me as he finish saying that and I just looked at them. She said as she turned to him, "That's fine. I kinda figured out she was your mate." The man looked at me and asked, "Who's he?" She said, "Just someone." I felt hurt that she didn't introduce me as her mate so I said as I walked up behind her, "I'm her mate." I saw her cover her face as the man began to laugh. I was becoming angry with his show of disrespect but when I glanced at Alice she was beet red as she said, "Stop laughing, James." He tried to pull her into a hug but I said as I stopped him form doing so, "I don't think contact is necessary to stop laughing." She looked at me with a pleading expression as she said, "Please stop this." The man started laughing harder than before and she covered her face. I pulled her closer to me to hide her cute embarrassed face from that man and asked her, "Who is he?" She looked up at me upsetly as she said, "He's someone very important to me." I frowned then the man said, "I am her first everything."  I stiffened up as he said that and my wolf wanted to come out and rip him to shreds. Almost like she sensed me she said quickly, "He found his mate so that's over." He gave us a mischievous smile as he said, "She can tell you all about it." She turned to him with a baffled expression then he gave her a wink as he closed the door.
