Chapter 3

Sebastian:

I stayed with my grandmother the rest of the time because I knew that she was going to come and see her again. I was not disappointed when I saw her pop in and she looked at me then gave my grandmother a big smiled as she said, “Sorry for the interruption. I just came to see if you needed anything before I left, Mrs. Brown?” My grandmother smiled then said, “I missed you. I didn’t see you a lot after this morning.” She smiled then said, “I’m sorry, I will make it up to you tomorrow. I got a little busy with another patient, won’t you forgive me for today?” I felt guilty because I was the reason why she did not want to come see my grandmother but I saw her give my grandmother the most cute puppy eyes and my grandmother smiled as she said, “Of course I will.” She opened her arms and I saw Alice walk up to her and gave her a hug. As they hugged my grandmother said, “You should go out with my grandson.” I smirked then I saw her smile slightly but managed to compose herself before facing my grandmother again and said, “Are you trying to play matchmaker, Mrs. Brown?” My grandmother smiled and said, “You two make a perfect couple.” I saw her give my grandmother a small smile then say, “Get some rest. I will see you in the morning again.” Before she got out of the bed I softly graced her leg up and down. She looked at her leg and noticed my hand brushing against her leg softly. She got up and said her farewells before walking away. I smiled contently seeing her reaction was not just when she she knew I touched her.

After she left I said my farewell too and decided to do a bit of investigation on my mate. I made my way towards the reception and I saw a woman siting down with employee charts reviewing them. I smiled then said as I, "Excuse me but do you happen to have change for $20?" I pull out a $20 bill and she gives me a flirty look as she says, "Let me check my bag." I smiled at her but as soon as she turned I grabbed the folder I wanted to see and quickly opened it and saw her address under her name, Alice Shaun. I put it back quickly then the woman said, "It seems like I don't have change." I gave her a smile then said, "Thank any ways." She was about to say something when I made my escape. I went to her apartment building and saw it was quiet and not much security but they did have some cameras. I looked around trying not to seem suspicious but when I knocked on her door it seemed like no one was home. I went to get something to eat before returning again and hopefully she would let me talk to her. 

I returned later in the night and I saw her lights inside on so I walked up to her door and knocked but then my wolf said, 'What are you going to say when she asks how you know where she lives?' I quickly moved away form the door and was brought to my reality where I was basically stalking my mate. I let out a soft sigh then said, 'If she asks I will tell her the truth.' I heard him chuckle and I knocked again but this time she did not walk to the door but I noticed that her lights were now off. I sighed again but I tried the door handle and it was open. I walked in and saw it was pitch black inside except form some light form the balcony coming inside. I followed her scent to a room and I saw her laying on her bed with a sword. I smiled then sat next to her. I moved a strand of hair that was on her face but as I did she took my hand and snuggled into it. I smiled and felt so happy to know that she was comfortable with me. I laid next to her and as I did she scooted into me. I hugged her then placed a kiss on her forehead before I got up. I loved this but I knew I had to see her when she was awake not like a creep while she slept. I made my way back to her front door but this time I made sure her door was locked.

Alice:

I woke up to the scent of fresh rain in the forest surrounding me. I sat up quickly and I saw no one in my room. I suddenly felt my whole body tingle and the scent made my body go crazy. I quickly ran to my balcony and almost tripped while I rushed to get fresh air. It was still night time which meant that no one could see me like this unless they were spying on me. I took deep breaths but that did not seem to work, my body yearned for that man’s touch. I sighed loudly before looking at my watch and saw it was only 2 AM. I went back into my room and as the smell hit my nose my eyes turned red. I felt my body tingle and I found the source of the smell, my bed. 

I left my balcony open and began to open all my  windows then turn the air conditioner on. I went into my bathroom and took a quick shower before getting dressed in a black mini skirt, tank top and platform boots. I let my long black hair out and just put eyeliner and red lipstick on before getting out of my apartment. 

As I walked out of the apartment I could smell the faint scent of fresh rain in the forest. I smiled realizing that the man I was trying so hard to get away from had visited me. I decided to walk to my destination since it would be faster and more conspicuous. I walked a few blocks and when I noticed that there was no one around I sprinted and was gone. I arrived at my destination in a matter of seconds. I looked around to make sure no one followed me and if they were able to then they would know exactly where I was going. 

The building looked abandoned but the new security cameras and the metal door said otherwise. I knocked on the door and a man opened a slide. I smiled and he said surprised, “Welcome back, Princess.” I smiled then he opened the door. There was music blasting and I saw all kinds of people inside. Just to let you all know this place is a gathering place for all supernatural creatures. We come here to mingle and to party. I only go there to get a one night stand or get drunk. As I’m walking by I see a group of girls surrounding a table. I go to the bar where I see my friend James, the bartender. As soon as he spots me he says, “You better be here to get drunk.” I roll my eyes then say with a big smile, “Sadly, not the case yet.” He laughs then says while pointing at the table, “Try to stay away from that table, some top Alpha is here and those she-wolves have been making sure no one gets near them.” I smile then say, “You know wolves aren’t my type.” He laughs then says, “You should go home before Erick sees you.” I roll my eyes again and say, “He has no power over me. Now, give me a drink.” He sighed but gave me my usual. 

After a few rounds I’m dancing with some guys when Erick grabs me. I look at him then say, “What the hell are you doing?” He glares at the guys I was dancing with and he says, “You guys better leave this one alone. She is spoken for.” As he said that I look at him then say, “Let’s go to my office to talk about this crap you’re spitting.” He glares at me then says, “We are still engaged whether you like it or not.” I smile then say, “You know, there’s a reason I always leave with anyone but you.” His eyes turn red and I smile seeing his anger. I turn around and begin making my way to my office. He follows behind me glaring daggers at me. 

We enter my office and I close the door as soon as he walks in. I let out a loud sigh then say, “You know the engagement has been officially broken for more than 10 decades.” He walks up to me and says, “You broke it off but I am still fighting for it.” I rub my temples then say, “Look, you need to move on because I will never agree and if shove turns to push, I will kill you.” He pins me to the door and says in my ear, “I have more power as well. I can force you to do as I say.” I look at him with my crimson eyes and say, “You don’t have my royal blood.” He begins to tremble and I say as he let’s go of me, “I am still the Queen to be. You are still just another vampire that wants me to gain power, I will never allow any of those lowlifes get near me.” He was now kneeling down and I said as I opened the door, “Leave and never bother me again. If you do, I will personally tear your heart out.” He gets up and walks out of my office furious. I look at the clock on my desk and see it is now 3:30 AM, I sigh and decide to head home since my mood has been ruined by an i***t.
