Chapter 12

I woke up feeling content and happy. It was as if this was the first time I was complete and had a full night's rest. As I tried to get up I was held in place by a strong arm that was around my waist. I smiled then said to Sebastian, “Wake up. I need to get ready for work.” He grunted and said, “Call in sick or something. I want to sleep more with you.” I smiled then said, “I thought you were coming back tonight.” He opened his eyes and said, “I am.” I smiled then said, “Let’s take a quick shower then.” He smiled and let go of me. I quickly got up and ran to my bathroom but he was right behind me.
We got in the shower and I made sure it was just a shower we took. We got out and got dressed quickly. I wore my uniform and he put his clothes back on. I said as I dried my hair, “Are you going to go visit your grandmother today?” He said as he tied his shoes, “No, I have a meeting today. I will come directly here after I’m done.” I smiled then said, “You don’t have to come if you’re busy.” He walked up to me and said as he took the hairdryer from my hand, “I’ll be here no matter what.” I shook my head then said, “I’ll be waiting.” He kissed me and he said as he looked at me, “You have to cover those.” I looked at where he pointed but I did not see anything. I got up and looked in the mirror only to find a bunch of hickies around my neck. I turned to him upsetly then said, “You are not allowed to do that anymore.” He laughed and said, “I won’t leave them in an obvious place anymore.” I quickly grabbed a small bag and took out some make up. I put it on the hickies that were visible and after a quick inspection I put the makeup away. He only smiled at me. I frowned then said, “Let’s go.” He followed me as I walked out of my apartment and walked me to my car then said, “Be careful and take good care until I see you later.” I smiled and said, “You too.” He gave me a gentle kiss and I got in my car then left.
I arrived at work and the first person I saw was Mandy. She had a big smile and said, “Good morning, Alice.” I looked at her suspiciously as I said, “Good morning.” I clocked in as she took a deep breath then said with the same big smile, “I was just informed that you sent in your two weeks notice.” I rolled my eyes and said, “I have.” She came closer to me and asked, “Why?” I frowned then said, “That is none of your business.” She frowned then said, “Until then you will work twice as hard.” I put my time card down and said as I got really close to her, “You do not control me and if you try just remember that before I leave here I can still kick your ass.” She backed away and said shakily, “Don’t laze around.” She quickly left and I smiled seeing her scurrying away. I went to get my patient list and meet Jane. She was in the staff room and when I entered she said, “Why didn’t you tell us you were leaving?” I sighed then said, “It’s a last minute thing. I have a family emergency and don’t know when I will be back.” She sighed then said, “I’m going to miss you.” I smiled then said, “I’ll leave James to take care of you.” She quickly blushed and said, “It’s not the same.” I hugged her and said, “I know.” Derrick walked in with breakfast and said, “I brought an extra one.” I smiled and said, “Thanks.” We ate quickly before starting our rounds.
I went to see Mrs. Brown and when I entered she said, “Alice, I wanted to talk to you about something.” I closed the door and went to sit next to her. She sighed then said, “I was married to an Alpha like myself. The bond we have is very strong because we are very strong people. I want you to be aware that the longer he stays away from you, his mate, it will drive him crazy.” I look down realizing that what happened last night was a mistake on my part. I nodded my head then said, “I will be leaving in two weeks. I will go fulfill my duty and make sure that peace treaty is made with your pack.” She smiled then said, “I hope you do what is right.” I smiled then said, “I will.” She smiled then I left.
Sebastian:
I woke up early and I just watched her sleeping next to me. She was snuggling to my side and I was enjoying every bit of it. I got closer to her and inhaled her scent as I fell back to sleep. I was awaken by Alice saying as she tried to get up, "Wake up. I need to get ready to go to work." I grunted as I said, "Call in sick or something. I want to sleep more with you." She said with amusement, "I thought you were coming back tonight." I quickly opened my eyes as I said loosening my grip from her, "I am." She smiled then said, "Let's take a quick shower then." I smiled then released her from my grip and she quickly got up and ran to her bathroom but I was right behind her.
We got in the shower and I was helping her rinse but she said, "Stop it. We need to hurry or I will be late and I hate being late." I smiled before giving her a kiss then finishing washing myself. When we were out she got dressed quickly in her scrubs and I loved her in those clothes. She looked professional yet sexy. I began to get dressed as she said, "Are you gong to visit your grandmother today?" I began to tie my shoes as I said, "No, I have a meeting today. I will come directly here once I'm done." I looked up at her and she smiled as she said, "You don't have to come if you're busy." I walked up to her and took the hair dryer as I said and began to dry her hair, "I'll ne here no matter what." She nodded as se said, "I'll be waiting." I gave her a kiss then decided to be nice about one thing she had not noticed yet so I said, "You have to cover those." She tried to look where I was pointing but I knew she couldn't see them but before I could tell her what she had she got up and looked in the mirror. She turned to me and said, "You are not allowed to do that anymore." I laughed then said, "I won't ;eave them in an obvious place anymore." She quickly grabbed a small bag and took out make up then began to work on covering my work of art. I smiled as she looked at me but she frowned as she said, "Let's go." I followed her and walked her to her car then said, "Be careful and take good care until I see you later." She smiled as she said, "You too." I gave her a soft and gentle kiss before she got in her car and left. I was left in a state of bliss and I knew that I was going to be in a good mood all day until I got back to her side.
