Chapter 13

The day was very uneventful and before I could notice it was time to go. I went grocery shopping before going back home. I bought enough food for 2 weeks. I arrived home and saw James standing in front of my door. I said as soon as I saw him, “What are you doing here?” He smiled then said, “How did it go with the big bad wolf?” I smiled then said, “That little stunt you pulled almost got him killed.” He smiled then said, “If anything it looks like you were the one in danger.” I looked at him confused and he said, “You smell of him.” I froze and then said, “Are you serious?” He nodded and said, “I bet your house smells like him too.” I sighed loudly then said, “I was with his grandmother today.” He looked at me shocked then said, “You’re already trying to have a good relationship with his family?” I glare at him before saying, “She is a patient of mine.” He laughs and says, “No wonder you met him.” I rolled my eyes then pushed him out of my way before opening the door. He continued to laugh then said as he stopped laughing, “Can I come in or is he still inside?” I said while giving him a glare, “Hurry up, I’m still debating if I should forgive you or not.” 

He entered and as he closed the door he said, “You slept with him.” I let out a sigh then nodded my head. He smiles and asks, “It was different than when we do it, right?” I say as a smile begins to creep into my face, “Yes, it was magnificent.” He begins to laugh then says, “I want to experience that as well.” I smile then say, “I hope you two dorks get together soon.” He smiles then says, “I already love her and want to make her mine but if I move too quickly she might run away.” I smile then say, “Go for it.” He shakes his head before chuckling then I say as I begin to put my groceries away, “I’m going back home.” He stops chuckling and says very seriously, “Are you sure that’s what you want?” I finish putting the groceries away then turn to look at him and say, “Yes, I think it’s time I took over the throne.” He sighs loudly then says, “When are we leaving?” I smile and say, “You are not coming.” He frowns as he says, “I have never been away from you since we met.” I nod then say, “I know but now that you found your mate I don’t want to keep you from her.” He nods understanding then says softly, “How about your mate?” I bite my lip and after thinking a bit I say, “I will have to leave him for a while but when I am ready I will go to him.” He says, “He is going to be devastated.” I smile sadly but my tears begin to roll as I say, “I know. I want to be with him but you know I can’t marry just anyone.” He nods then says as he walks up to me and hugs me, “I will help him out but keep in mind that he won’t be able to handle it for too long.” I say softly, “I know, I already miss him too.” He pats my head then says, “I will do everything to help the both of you.” I smile then say, “So, why did you come here?” 

He lets go of me then says, “Erick came to the club and threatened me. He said that  if I got close to you he would kill me.” I began to laugh and said out of breath, “I used my compelling powers to tell him to stay away from me.” His eyes widened then said, “What did he do to make you that upset?” I closed my eyes and said, “He kept following me and was constantly harassing me.” He sighs then says, “Well, he asked for it.” I nodded then said, “When I leave I want you to stay here.” He smiled then said, “It’s because you want me to tell him that you left and how to contact you.” I nod then say, “Yes, you always know what I am thinking.” He smiles and says, “I read you very easily.” I shake my head then say, “You need to go.” He nods and pats my head before heading out.

I looked at my watch then took a deep breath before starting on dinner. I had already set the table when there was a knock. I walked to the door and said as I opened the door, “I was expecting you a bit later.” Sebastian was holding a bunch of roses and a big teddy bear. I smile and say as I take the flowers, “This is unexpected.” He smiled as I smelled the roses then said, “I was thinking about you and when I saw the bear I thought you would like it.” I said as a blush crept to my cheeks, “Thank you, they are beautiful and the bear reminds me of you.” He gives me a confused look and I say, “He’s big but soft.” He chuckles as he walks inside. I put the roses in a vase and he put the bear on the sofa. I say, “I set the table for our dinner.” He walks to me then says as he hugs me, “Thanks.” I feel my body tremble to his touch and his words set a fire in my core that was impossible to satisfy. I close my eyes then say softly, “You need to refrain from touching me like this.” He turns me around then says, “Why?” I open my eyes and say as I look him in the eyes, “I need to get used to this.” He smiles and gives me a peck on the cheek.

We go to the table and eat our dinner. When we finished I said, “How was your day?” He sighs loudly then says, “Not the easiest.” I smile then say, “Do you want a massage?” He smiles and says, “Are you sure?” I smile and say, “It’s just a massage.” He licks his lips then says, “Sure.” I roll my eyes and say, “Follow me.”
