Chapter 48

After a few hours we had gotten caught up and he was interested in seeing my new sister Angela and Lux in his human form. Sebastian had gone to our room to get my bag and some clothes for himself. My father was getting some clothes and he said as he looked in his closet, "I don't know what to wear." I walked in and saw some plain dress shirts and a single black suit. I grabbed the suit and said as I began to search for a good shirt to make it look amazing. Sebastian said form down the hall, "Babe, where are you? I have your bag." I smiled then said, "Come to my father's room. I'm trying to dress him for the ceremony." Sebastian walked into the room and I said as I popped my head out of the closet, "What are you wearing?" He was holding a suit bag and I said as I walked out, "I need to look at it to try and match you." He smiled but before he could show me I grabbed my bag and I emptied it on my father's bed. They looked at me confused and I grabbed a wrapped box. Sebastian looked at me curious and I said as I began to open it, "I was going to give this to you but after last night I don't think it will fit you." He smirked and I blushed a bit as I took out a dress white dress shirt, smokey gray pants and vest. I smiled then said, "I think they will fit you better, Dad." My father shook his head but Sebastian said, "I think these clothes will fit you, Sir." My father looked at him and said, "Son, you can call me Damon or anything else aside from Sir." Sebastian nodded then said, "I think those clothes will suit you better." My dad sighed as he said, "I'll try them on." I smiled as he grabbed them and made his way to the bathroom. 

Sebastian and I began to look at his tux and I found something to match him. We got our clothes and were about to go to the guest room to get dress when my father came out. His silver hair and red eyes were mesmerizing and the suit fit him to perfection. I sighed as I said a bit disappointed, "I really forgot your measurements." My father laughed and Sebastian joined him as he gave me a comforting hug. My father looked at himself in the mirror and said, "This reminds me of your mother." I nod as I say, "She loved dressing you up and matching with you." He nodded and I saw a hint of sadness so I said, "And she is still waiting for you." He took a deep breath then turned around and said, "Now, you two go get dressed." We nodded and I took my bag and Sebastian took his suit. We entered the guest room and began to get dressed. It took us all of 30 minutes to get dressed and stop kissing each other once we were done getting dressed. We walked out and went to the living room where my father was waiting for us. 

He had fallen asleep and we felt bad waking him up but when he sensed us he opened his eyes and said, "Wow, you two look amazing together. You two remind me of the old times with your mother." I smiled and Sebastian said, "I wish to meet your mate and my mate's mother soon." I smiled and said, "Soon." My father got up and said as he looked at his watch, "We should get going." Sebastian walked up to my father and said as he handed him a small wrapped box, "I know it's something last minute but I thought this would suit you better for tonight." My father smiled as he took the box and opened it. In the box there was a silver and black Rolex. My father smiled as he said, "This is a very good improvised gift." Sebastian chuckled as he said, "Glad you liked it, Damon." My father chuckled then put it on. I smiled then said as I hooked my arms in theirs, "We should get going." They chuckled and we began our walk to the pack house.

As we walked towards the pack house I saw the sun set and I smiled contently. I felt a light headache start then go away. I shrugged it off and concentrated on the small conversation my mate and father were having. As we got to the pack house the place was packed and a lot of people were greeting us. As the darkness began to take over the sky my headache became persistent. I stayed closed to Sebastian and my father was close to me too. He kept an eye on me and when he noticed me rubbing my temples he said, "Are you okay, sweetheart?" I looked at him then said, "I'm having a headache." He looked at me worried then said, "We don't get headaches unless it's due to massive trauma to the head." I nodded then said, "It started earlier and it's progressively getting worst." He looked around then Sebastian asked, "is everything okay?" My father said worried, "I'm not sure but she is having a headache." Sebastian smiled then said, "I can get some painkillers." My father frowned then explained, "We don't suffer from headaches or ever get sick. If we have headaches they usually mean massive head trauma or death." Sebastian had a panicked look but I said, "I can try those painkillers and the  we can go see the doctor." They looked at me concerned and Sebastian said, "No, we are going to see them now." I grabbed his arm and said, "No, I want to see the ceremony." They looked at me shocked but stayed quiet. 

The ceremony began and I was concentrating on it but the headache was getting stronger. I looked around for a bit then we all had to walk towards a clearing and that's when I saw the full moon. Everyone began to howl and I saw many people begin to shift. I suddenly felt a sharp pain on my legs and back. I hunched over and screamed loudly in pain. Everyone became alert as I writhed in pain. Sebastian, my father, Laura and Jon were surrounding me. Laura said worried, "What's happening to her?" Sebastian and my father were yelling for a medic but then I heard the breaking of my bones. Jon said full of shock, "SHE'S SHIFTING!" Everyone except for Sebastian got away from me. I was scared and I felt like I was dying slowly but a voice said in the mist of chaos, "I'm sorry for the pain you are in. I wish I could take it away but this is part of the change."  I tried to open my eyes or even talk but he pain had me clenching my teeth tightly. The pain lasted for what seemed like eternity but then it began to subside. I felt heavy and different. I slowly opened my eyes and I saw Sebastian looking at me surprised, shocked and yet full of love. I tried to speak but all I heard were growls and yelps.
