Chapter 47

The fire was starting to spread so I placed my hands on his chest. He opened his eyes and looked at me scared, angry and confused. I smiled at him and said, "Calm down. You will hurt others if you keep spiraling out of control." He took a deep breath then he clutched his head as he began to scream. I quickly began to examine him to see what could be causing him pain but he was fine. He stopped screaming and had passed out. The fire began to dissipate and I said as I checked his pulse, "I need a doctor." Sebastian walked inside and said, "Laura and Jake went to get the doctor." I sighed as I said, "I'm not sure what happened." He placed his hand on my shoulder and I got up and hugged him tightly. He wrapped his arms around me as he comforted me.  

We were pulled form our moment by someone clearing their throat. We looked toward the bed and saw my father looking at us suspiciously. I sighed with relief and said, "How are you?"  He looked at me curiously as he said, "You remind me of my wife Marie." My eyes widened and I felt joy erupt from my chest as I said excitedly, "You remember mom." He looked at me confused then said, "I only have one daughter and she is 10 years old." I smiled then said, "Yes, I was ten when we were ambushed but since then a lot of time has passed." He sighed then said, "If that's true does that mean I was unable to help your mother and yourself escape?" I shook my head as I said, "We thought you were dead." He rubbed his temples and I smiled remembering that he only did that when he was really frustrated. I walked up to him and said, "Mom seems to be able to sense you are still alive." He nodded and said, "I want to see her." I smiled and said, "We can go see her later." He got up and hugged me tightly. I heard Sebastian let out a low growl and my father said, "Who's the big bad wolf?" I laughed as I said, "He is my mate." My father pulled away form me and checked my neck as he said, "You two mated already." I nodded and he said, "You are ready to be Queen now." I looked at him shocked and I turned to Sebastian as I said, "I think he is suffering from delusions."  Sebastian crossed his arms and I gulped but my father said, "If he's your mate and are now mated, I think he should know who you really are." I looked at him a bit ashamed that I had not told the full truth to my mate. I took a deep breath as I turned to Sebastian and said, "I have a confession to make." 

He nodded and I said, "I am, Princess Alice Shaun, future Queen of the Vampires." He smiled and said as he walked up to me with opened arms, "I don't care about your title, I just care that no matter what I will marry you." I smiled and ran into his arms then my father said as he laughed, "I can't wait to have grandchildren." We all laughed as Laura walked in with Jake and the doctor. They looked at us confused but I said, "My father has regained his memory." Jake walked up to us and he knelt as he said, "Welcome back, my King." Laura and the doctor looked at them shocked and my father said, "Please stand. I hate those kind of formalities." Jake got up and smiled as he said, "Now I remember where the Princess got her attitude." I smiled then Laura said, "I brought the doctor to examine you, Sir." I got out of Sebastian's embrace and walked to Laura as I said, "You are a friend of mine now. I want to share a confession with you." She smiled and nodded as I said with a smile, "I'm actually Princess Alice Shaun and this is my father King Damon." She gave us a bow and my father said, "As one of the few friends my daughter has, there is no need for formalities." She nodded and said, "Thank you and I am grateful I was deemed worthy to be a friend to someone like Alice." I smiled and the doctor said as he bowed to my father, "If you allow me, I can examine you now, Your Majesty?" My father said, "Thank you doctor." The doctor began his examination and we all cleared out of the room. 

We were talking outside the room about why I had hidden my linage. I explained to them of the fake friends and greedy people that had tried to use me. They all understood why I couldn't really trust anyone but were happy to know that I was slowly changing because of them. The doctor came out and said to us, "He is fine physically but mentally he is still a bit confused about what happened to him. It seems that the excessive use of his power after a long time caused his memories to resurface but I suggest he rests for a day or two." I nod then Laura says, "Can he attend the Alpha and Luna Ceremony tonight?" The doctor said with a smile, "As long as he doesn't use his powers for at least 24 hours I think he should be fine attending." I nod as I say, "I will make sure of that." He smiles and nods to us respectfully as he leaves.

My father walks out of the room and says, "I heard all of that so I will not exert myself but now I want you to tell me all I missed." I take his hand and say with a smile, "Sure, I will tell you all you want to know." Laura said as we walked to the living room, "I will have to go to help prepare for another attempt at the ceremony." I nodded and Sebastian said, "I will go get something for us to eat." I said as I got up, "I can make something here." He walked behind me and we left my father and Jake alone while we looked for ingredients. After a while we returned with food and I said as I placed a plate in front  my father and Jake, "I hope you enjoy it." My father smiled and Jake said, "This smells delicious." I beamed as I smiled then Sebastian said with a nostalgic smile, "Her food is so delicious." My father took a bite of his food then said, "this is beyond delicious." I laughed and I took a bite of my food and said, "One of my best attempts." We all laughed and chatted as we ate.
