Chapter 46

I woke up the next day sore but feeling much better than last night. I wasn't feeling the heat anymore and as I stirred Sebastian said, "How do you feel?" Hearing his husky voice in the morning made me very happy and he wrapped his arms around  my waist as I said, "Much better, love." He snuggled into my neck as he said, "I'm a bit tired but so happy about last night." I chuckled and said, "I bet you are tired." He chuckled then said, "I think I might have gotten you pregnant." I turned slightly to look at his face then said, "Are you going to be mad if I am?" He sighed as he said, "I would love to start a family with you but I don't know how you feel about kids." I smiled then said, "I don't particularly like them but if we were to have one I would love them with all my heart." He smiled then said, "I hope you're pregnant." I smiled and gave him a kiss then said, "I have to go to the bathroom." He let go of me and sat up as he said, "I'll help you." I laughed as I said, "I can walk." I got up and felt my legs wobbly. I held myself from the bed frame and I heard Sebastian snort. I looked at him and he had a big smirk as I said a bit embarrassed, "I need your help." He chuckles as he gets up in all his naked glory. I check him out as he walks up to me and says, "You like what you see?" I nod and say, "I do." He picks me up and begins to walk as he says, "It's all yours." I wrap my arms around his neck and said, "I'm going to miss you a lot when I return home." 

He stops and says as he looks down at me, "You are not leaving me." I caress his face and say, "I have to leave things in order before I leave with you." He resumed walking but I could sense his anger and sadness. I said as I continued to caress his face, "Why can I sense your emotions?" He looked at me confused for a second then realization hit him. He smiled sadly and said, "That's called a Mate Bond, it happens when werewolves mark their mates." I say as I place my head on his chest, "Can you feel my emotions?" He said softly, "No." I sighed then said, "I'm sad to leave you too." We entered the bathroom and he said as he lets me stand near the sink, "Shower or bath?" I looked at the bath and said, "Bubble bath." He nods and says as he gets a bottle of rose scented soap, "I think I can't sense your feelings because you don't have a wolf." I nod and ask a bit curious, "Do you think I can have one?" He looks at me then says, "I'm not sure." I smile and say, "If I do, I think it will be like yours." He chuckles then says, "My wolf is big because I am an Alpha as for the fur it's a bit rare but maybe you can have the same fur." I smile then say as I walk slowly towards him, "I'm sorry I have to leave you after we mated." He turns to me and hugs me as he whispers in my ear, "You will return to me on my Alpha ceremony, right?" I nod and say, "Of course." He gives me a kiss then he helps me into the bathtub. 

After relaxing for a bit in each others arms we get dressed and decide to go eat breakfast. As we walk to the kitchen I hear all sorts of whispers about me and how I saved them and how I killed the rouges single handed. I didn't mind the talk until someone said, "She should be our Alpha instead of that weak woman." I turn to her and say as I walk up to her and look in her eyes, "You should be grateful that she is your Alpha, the sole reason I helped was due to her hospitality and kindness towards a vampire like myself. She not only accepted me and treated me with respect but also acknowledged my suggestion instead of brushing it off like most werewolves would. The rest of you just judged me and stared at me with animosity." My eyes were red and she was trembling but stayed quiet.  

Laura said as she placed a hand on my shoulder, "Thank you for standing up for me but she has a point." I look at her and I saw her shocked look so I calmed down a bit and turned my eyes back to brown. She said out loud and clearly for all to hear, "I was the popular Alpha's daughter. My father always told me to train and earn my place as the future Alpha but I wanted to be popular instead of an Alpha. As of last night I can see that I am not strong enough to be your Alpha but I now have a mate and I believe that with his guidance and support I can become the Alpha you all deserve." I smiled and said, "You have what it takes to be a leader but you will need to train a lot and earn the respect you deserve." She smiled at me and said, "I want to have the same dominance you have." I closed my eyes and covered my mouth with my hand to hide the laugh I was holding. I held that laugh and said with a smile, "It takes a lot of wars to get my confidence and dominance but I think you can manage it without all the wars." She nodded and before we could say anything Jake ran inside and said, "Alice, your father passed out." 

My smile vanished and as he ran back to where my father was I was right behind him. We stopped at a cabin near the end of the territory. Jake walked in and I followed him inside with Sebastian and Laura right behind me. As we walked in I saw the paintings of memories we had and it broke my heart seeing all of them. His drawings were memories of us as a family but they did not have faces. I felt hurt and helpless seeing a bit inside his mind. I entered a room and saw my father laying on the bed. I walked slowly towards the bed when all of a sudden fire began to emanate form him. Jake said as he backed away, "What should I do?" I looked at him and said, "Wait outside and make sure no one is inside the house." He looked at me worried and I said, "I'll be fine, I can also control fire."   He nodded and said to Sebastian and Laura, "Please come with me." They hesitantly followed him and I walked up to my father.
