Chapter 45

There were a lot of gasps and whispering then I said, "Go now. I will keep the barrier up as much as I can and I want you to defeat the ones inside before the second step begins." They looked at me then Sebastian said, "What's the second step?" I said as I smiled, "I will go hunt them down with fire." They laughed and said, "Remind me to never get you mad." I smiled then said, "Hurry up or they will advance." Laura said, "Those that can fight please follow me." Most of the men left and Sebastian said, "I'll stay here and protect you." I smiled then said, "Jake can do that if you want to go." He looked at Jake then said, "As my mate, I want to protect you." I nodded then took a deep breath. I felt my body feel heavy and my mind was on fire. It was like I could hear a lot of low voices in my head and they were rushing in and out of my mind. I concentrated to try and keep the barrier up but I felt my energy begin to diminish. My breathing slowly became agitated and Sebastian said, "Are you okay?" I smiled then said, "Yes, I'm fine." He looked at me then said, "Something is wrong." I looked at him then Jake said, "She's probably using too much energy." I looked away then Sebastian said, "You can stop doing the barrier if it's too much." I shook my head then said, "No, I want to save the ones inside." He frowned but before he said anything else my father appeared and said, "I can help with the second phase." I looked at him and said, "No, you are not stable." He looked at me then said, "You don't look good." I took a deep breath to continue arguing but Sebastian said, "I will go with you." They nodded at each other and Sebastian said to Jake, "You are in charge of her safety and I will kill you in the most brutal way if something happens to her." I looked at him surprised and Jake said as he knelt, "Yes, sir." They began to walk away and I felt proud seeing my father and mate working together but sad that they were leaving. 

Jake said as he looked around, "I think the sire is remembering." I sighed then said, "I hope so." He said, "How do you feel?" I looked at him then said, "A bit tired." He looked at me worried then said, "You really don't look well." I took a deep breath and tried to keep calm and relaxed to concentrate on the barrier. I felt that 2 people had passed my barrier and I smiled realizing that Sebastian was also able to do what I could. It had only been about 30 minutes when Laura and the rest retuned with injured warriors. She ran to me wearing an oversized shirt, "Oh Goddess, you don't look well." I smiled at her then said, "Sebastian and my father went to do the second phase." She looked around and said, "You should stop doing the barrier then." I shook my head and said, "I can't until they return." She looked at me worried and some men were looking at me then I felt a sudden heat go through me. I felt to my knee as I felt lightheaded with the second heat go through me. Laura and Jake ran to my side and the men began to growl lowly. Laura looked around and saw that they were all looking at me with lust. She quickly said, "All of you go inside!" They didn't listen to her and they began to walk closer to me. I got up and began to walk away form them. 

They followed me slowly and as I began to get closer to the border I felt 2 people enter the barrier and I exhaled as I fell to the ground and made a small barrier around me. As soon as the barrier was made they all seemed to snap out of it. Sebastian and my father ran to where I was and Sebastian said, "What happened?!" Jake knelt and said, "I'm not sure but these men were going after her so she walked towards the border to keep them at bay." Laura said, "She's in heat and all these men were attracted to her." Sebastian looked at them and let out a menacing growl but I said weakly, "Calm down." He walked into the barrier and picked me up. My body jolted feeling the intense electricity on my skin where he touched me. He began to make his way to the pack house and he said as we got closer, "Damn, you are driving me crazy." I snuggled into him feeling my body crave more of his touch and I said, "I have never wanted anyone as much as I do you in this very moment." He looked at me and said, "That does it." He began to run and dashed through the entrance and into our room. 

He put me on the bed first before going back to lock the door. I sat up and said, "What's happening to me?" He walked up to me and said, "Your body is adjusting to my mark and are going through something called Heat." I nodded but I was distracted by the delicious scent emanating from Sebastian. He cleared his throat and I said softly feeling embarrassed, "What can I do to feel better?" He clenched his throat and said, "This usually implies that I am the sole solution to make the episodes subside for some time." I got up and said as I walked up to him, "Please help me ease this desire." His eyes darkened and he kissed me passionately. I felt in pure bliss as we kissed and my body seemed to crave more as he slowed down. I pinned him to the bed and said as I began to take his shirt off, "I'm going insane." He smirked and pushed me down and said, "I'm going to drive you even more crazy." I felt a shiver go down my back and he began to kiss my neck while he unzipped my dress. I moaned as he kissed me and touched me. He had undressed me in a few seconds and I said as I felt an urge built up in between my legs, "I need you now." He took his pants and boxers off and said as he positioned himself between my legs, "I need you too." He entered me and I let out a loud moan which he responded with a low growl as he said, "Fuck." We were in pure bliss and we spent all night making love.
