Chapter 44

He said as we walked, "Why don't you leave your hair natural?" I looked at him and said with a smile, "You mean my white hair?" He nodded and I said, "I prefer not to stand out but if you want me with my natural hair then I can do it." She shook his head then said, "Maybe later but you look more beautiful with your unique look." I snuggled into his side and said, "You know how to sweet talk me." He chuckled then said, "I wouldn't be your mate if I couldn't." I smiled and we came down the stairs to the main floor where everyone was arriving. 

As soon as everyone saw us together there were some weird looks. I kept smiling wondering what was wrong with me being there. Sebastian pulled me closer and said softly into my ear, "Stay close to me. Most of the people coming today are Alphas and their Betas, they are with treaties with my pack but not all of them." I nodded then a man walked up to us and said, "Alpha Sebastian, I didn't know you were going to be here." Sebastian shook his hand as he said, "Alpha Joseph, how are you?" He smiled then said as he looked at me, "Who is the little vampire?" My smile instantly grew and I said as I extended my hand, "I am Alice, how are you?" He took my hand and Sebastian said as he pulled me even closer to him, "She is my mate." Alpha Joseph let go of my hand quickly and said, "I had no idea you had found your mate." He said with a possessive hand around my waist, "I found her recently." I leaned into him then said, "We should go see if Laura needs any help." He looked at me then said, "You're right, we should." Alpha Joseph moved to the side and said, "Sorry to have kept you, we will talk later." Sebastian nodded then we began to walk away. Everyone was looking at us and I said softly, "Is everything okay?" He looked tense but said, "Nothing is wrong." I remained silent as we made our way to where Laura and Jonathan were going to be.

As soon as I saw Laura I walked up to her and said, "I'm really nervous." She giggled as she said, "I'm the one with all the pressure not you." I laughed then said, "I know but everyone keeps looking at me." She nodded then said, "True, since you are the only vampire here right now." I said quickly looking around, "Where is my father?" She said calmly, "He usually watches form a distance since he is not a member form the pack." I nodded then said, "Should I leave too?" She quickly shook her head and said, "You are the mate of Sebastian which makes you the Luna of Blood Moon so you belong here with your mate." I nod then say, "I'm still nervous." She laughed then said, "Me too." I took her hands and said, "You will do great." As I had finished saying that there was a piercing howl. Everyone became quiet and alert then Laura screamed, "ROUGES!!!" Everyone began to run outside and I said as Sebastian took my hand, "Can I help?" He said, "No, we will go fight and return once we finish them." I pulled his hand and I said loudly, "I can stop them!" Some people had stopped and Laura said, "What do you have in mind?" I said as I looked around, "I can make a big barrier around the pack area." Laura and Sebastian looked at me confused then I said, "Like what Jake did when I almost lost full control." They remembered then Laura said, "Are you able to do that?" I said, "Unlike Jake I have more power to do that." Sebastian said, "How will you know where the territory is?" I looked at him conflicted then said, "I would have to see it." He nodded then I sighed but Laura said, "How about if you mark her?" We looked at her and she said, "If you mate then she will be able to sense the territory and it will save time." I looked at Sebastian and he said, "If that's okay with you?" I nodded then said, "Okay." He took my hand and we walked away quickly. He pushed me into a room and said, "I wanted this to be perfect and I'm sorry it isn't." I smiled then said, "We will make this better later." He smiled and said, "We should hurry." I nodded and I tilted my head. He looked at me then I saw his canines extend and he leaned into the crook of my neck and he sunk his canines into my neck. I felt pain and at the same time I felt pleasure. He let go and licked the area. I bit my lips and he said, "Are you oaky?" I looked at him then said, "My turn." He smirked then tilted his head as I extended my fangs and bit him. He let out a low grunt and I said as I licked my mark, "Are you oaky?" He looked at me heated then I said as I felt something open in my mind, "We need to hurry." He sighed then we cam out of the room. Laura said, "Can you feel the border?" I looked around and saw more eyes looking at me and I said, "Yes." She said, "What do you need me to do?" I began to walk outside then said as soon as I was outside, "Jake." He came to me and said as he kneeled, "Yes." I looked around and said, "I'm making a barrier, do you think you can maintain it?" He said worried, "How big?" I said as I placed on the ground, "All around this territory." He looked panicked as he said, "That's too much for me to handle." I looked at him then said to Sebastian and Laura, "I will keep the barrier up but you two will need to go kill those that may be inside it." Laura nodded then I added, "Tell all the ones that are your friends to get inside the border, if they are caught in the middle of it they will be killed." She nodded then I said, "They are inside now." Sebastian said, "Mine too." I got up and I saw the barrier form.
