Chapter 43

I smile at her then ask as I look outside her window, "How long has he been here?" They all go quiet and I can sense them looking at me. I heard her take a breath as she said, "My family was returning from viewing some places in the human area. We stumbled across the remains of the battle and my father knew that we were close to human territory, he decided to clean the mess." I look at her and she adds, "I was there when your father revived." I looked at her confused and she continued, "The guards dug a pit and made a fire inside it. We burned all the bodies of the dead and left your father's last for some strange reason." I smiled then said, "I'm guessing you don't know what his powers are?" She nodded and said, "He helps us with small things here and there but I know his power has something to do with fire." I nod as I say, "We have special powers. Some can learn them but then there are rare ones like the ones my father and I posses." She nodded and said, "When he was thrown in the pit of fire, he didn't burn. The fire did not burn him and then he consumed it as he woke up." We were terrified but when he woke up confused and asking for help, my father decided to take him back with us and help him find his way home." I was now standing close to her and she said, "We had him see our best doctors but none could bring his memories back." I nodded then said, "He must have been close to death." She looked at me sympathetically but I said, "As you saw earlier, I have control of the weather." She nodded and I said, "I can control wind, air and fire." She looked at me surprised then I added, "I'm sure my father can too." She shook her head then said, "What are you going to do now that you found him?" I looked ta her conflicted as I said, "It will be up to him. My mother senses that he is alive and I didn't believe her but now that I know he is alive, I want her to see him too." She nodded but I added with a serious tone, "But, his return could cause a riot." She looked at me confused and I looked at my watch then said, "We have twenty minutes left." They quickly began to finish getting ready. 

I stood by the window looking at the night sky appear and the people walking around preparing for the ceremony. I was interrupted from my observing by a loud knock. Laura said, "Elle, get the door." Ellen ran to the door and Sebastian said, "Can I please have my mate back now?" I smiled hearing his words and I said as I walked up to him, "I missed you too." He looked at me and I saw his eye color darken, which made me feel wanted. Jenna said as she walked up to us, "Get a room." Sebastian glared at her but I said as I touched his face, "Not before the ceremony." He smirked and I said, "I'll be going with my mate. I'll see you all later." Laura and Ellen smiled and waved but Jenna was hiding in the bathroom. Sebastian took my hand carefully and said, "I have to be careful now that you are wearing the bracelets." I smiled then said, "Take me to our room, I will leave them there." He shook his head and said, "If they help keep you calm then wear them." I shook my head and said, "Your duty will be to keep me calm." He smiled and said as he put his arm around my waist, "I think it would be very dangerous for us to go to my room now." I leaned into him and said, "I think you can wait until we have more time." He pulled me into a hug and said in my ear, "You always know how to push my buttons." I smiled then said, "If I didn't then I couldn't be your mate." He inhaled deeply then said, "We should hurry then." 

We made our way to his room and as we got closer we saw someone coming put of his room. He quickly walked up to the person and turned them around. It was young looking girl and she looked at us scared. Sebastian said angrily, "What were you doing in my room?" She had her head down and I could sense the fear emanate form her as she stood frozen. I cautiously grabbed Sebastian's arm and said, "Honey, you are scaring the poor child." He relaxed a bit and I said as I looked at the girl, "Sweetie, please let my mate know why you were in our room?" Her face lifted slightly as she looked at me then back down. I smiled then said, "It seems she doesn't want to talk." Sebastian exhaled loudly before saying, "I will have Alpha Laura place her in an interrogation room for the time being." She looked up at us with panic and I said again with a smile, "I promise he won't hurt you if you tell us the truth." She looked at me conflicted then said, "A she-wolf asked me to leave some of her under garments hidden in the room so your mate could find them." I smiled then said, "Something that childish would not have caused us to have an fight." Sebastian shook his head then said, "Please get rid of the garments and I will forgive you for the transgression." She nodded quickly before opening the door. 

We walked in behind her and I began to take my bracelets off. She grabbed 4 items and said as she walked up to us, "I'm so sorry." I smiled then said, "I'm usually ruthless but today was a good day for you." She gulped then Sebastian said, "If that she-wolf asks if you did what she asked tell her you did." He handed her the trash can and she dropped the garments in there as she nodded. She bowed to us and walked out of our room. Sebastian closed the door and said, "I never thought someone would try to pull something like that." I smiled then said, "I would have been surprised if no one did." He chuckled then pulled me into a kiss. He kissed me passionately and I knew we were going to get lost in each others touch if I didn't stop it soon. I slowly pushed him away as I said a bit out of breath, "We should get going. We don't want to be late." She inhaled deeply before saying, "You're right." I smiled and gave him a quick peck before interlocking our fingers and walking out of our room.
