It had been exactly two weeks since Zoey was taken by the lycan king. He bragged about proving her innocence in two weeks, so I couldn’t wait to see how everything would unfold.
When I woke up that morning, some of the pack members were already waiting for me at the gate. They demanded answers about the case.
I had to ask my security to tell them to be patient. The day was just starting. After they left, I picked up my phone and scrolled over to Zoey’s number.
Ever since she left, I hadn’t contacted her.
Most times, I thought about contacting her, but my hands just hovered around the call button, and I paused before dialing, wondering what I’d even say if I called her.
