I closed my eyes briefly, letting out a deep breath as we settled down on our seats. I didn’t know why we had to sit, I just wanted Sean to tell them what he found, and to be on our way back home.
My eyes glanced through the crowd, and all the pack members were seated, their faces lit up with anticipation. Most of them looked at me with disdain, while a few of the others stared at me with pity in their eyes.
Conrad and I met each other’s gaze for a second, but I quickly looked away. I couldn’t believe how heartless he was. He didn’t even have an ounce of remorse in his eyes. I really didn’t mean anything to him.
