“He’s my mate!” I snapped back. “And where is the nurse…or the doctor? I need to leave this place.” I said, trying to stand up with every bit of strength I could get.
But my legs bucked the moment I swung them off the bed. I had no choice but to lie down on the bed.
Conrad looked at me, his face pale. “It’s not possible for Sean to be your mate. It doesn’t work like that.” He continued, his voice sharp.
“I’m sure you can remember vividly when our wolves sensed each other. You were there, right?” I asked, narrowing my eyes on him, my voice faint.
He shrugged. “But it still doesn’t make sense. Something like that hasn’t happened before.” He said with a hint of confusion in his voice.
“Well, it has happened now. And you have no choice but to accept it.”
