Rae I take a couple sips of water. "Thanks, mom," I say. She rubs my back gently. "That was scary. Good thing Cooper came to the rescue. I know you said you didn't want to talk to him, so that must have been hard," she says. "Mom, stop it." I say. I know exactly what she is doing. "Okay, okay. Are you ready to get back to dinner?" she asks me, but I shake my head. "I am not hungry anymore, mom. I knew I should have stayed at the other table.
