Chapter 4: shameless perverts

Jade pov.

Omega number sixteen, Esmeralda, was called out. She looked young and scared, but still, she walked out. The men began hooting and demanding she strip. Miss Bunita threatened her, saying she'd send someone to do it for her if she didn't comply.

Esmeralda was crying hard as she slipped out of her transparent net gown. The men cheered, and one of them, Alpha Stone, asked her to dance. Esmeralda was hesitant, but Miss Bunita threatened to harm her little sister if she didn't comply.

Esmeralda began dancing, and Alpha Stone started touching her inappropriately. I couldn't take it anymore and ran out, pushing him back and hiding Esmeralda behind me.

Alpha Stone was furious, and Miss Bunita yelled at me. The other buyers started whispering and murmuring.

“Bang!”

Alpha Stone slapped me, and his men started punching and kicking me.

As I crumbled to the floor, I saw one of Alpha Stone's men jerk Esmeralda away. Miss Bunita ordered her men to take me to the clown house for punishment.

"You're just an insignificant omega!" Alpha Stone growled.

Miss Bunita smiled sweetly. "Yes, Alpha Stone. I'll make sure she's punished accordingly.”

His men came at me their strong hands lifted me and dragged me across the room, but before we left, I swear I could smell something amazing. It was foreign and I could only smell it in small whiffs, almost like the source was far away.

I tried to trace where it was coming from, but all to no avail. Goddess, I had never smelt anything as sweet as whatever that smell was. And the fact that I couldn't get to it was killing me.

They took me backstage and as we passed, the other girls cowered away. They all looked scared as they stared at me. And as we passed hassy, I saw that her face wore the most frightened expression. It was almost like she saw something coming, something I couldn't see.

And it was at this moment that I knew they were scared for me. My instincts told me they knew what the clown house was, and from all I had seen so far, I knew it wasn't gonna be good.

After what felt like forever I was dragged back to the main building, my body battered and bruised. The apple stuffed in my mouth muffled my screams as Raul and Diego continued to whip me.

As we approached the stage, I saw Miss Bunita introducing me to the crowd. "Omega number twenty-one, a feisty and exotic breed. She's wild and unyielding, but I'm sure you'll have a great time taming her."

The bidding started at two thousand, but I was too drowsy to care. That was until I caught a whiff of a familiar scent, lavender and peppermint. My eyes scanned the crowd, and that's when I saw him, Alpha Leo.

"Twelve thousand," he bid, his eyes locking onto mine.

The bidding continued, with Scarface countering Alpha Leo's bids. But Alpha Leo was determined, and his final bid of fifty thousand stunned the crowd.

"Fifty thousand, going once, going twice...sold," Miss Bunita announced, her voice trembling with excitement.

As Alpha Leo approached me, I felt a strange sense of calm wash over me. Who was this man, and why did I feel drawn to him?

“Mate!” I heard him say as he dragged me out of the building.

Alpha Leo led me to a luxurious carriage, it was interior adorned with velvet seats and golden accents. We drove in silence for what felt like an eternity, the only sound I heard were the gentle clip-clop of the horses' hooves.

As the sun began to set, casting a warm orange glow over the landscape, we finally arrived at the pack house. The grand, rustic mansion loomed before us, it had a wooden beams and stone walls exuding a sense of warmth and welcome. The pack's emblem, a majestic wolf's head, adorned the front door, gleaming in the fading light.

Alpha Leo led me into the building, his hand grasping mine firmly. We ascended the stairs, I could hear the sound of our footsteps echoing through the hallway. As we reached the top, a door swung open, and a stunning woman with porcelain skin and raven-black hair flung herself into Alpha Leo's arms.

"My love, you're back!" she exclaimed, her voice husky and seductive. She showered him with kisses, and Alpha Leo's eyes never left hers, he didn't seem surprised either.

I felt my heart beat drop and as soon as she noticed me standing there, "who is this?" She asked.

Alpha Leo's eyes finally met mine, and I felt a jolt of electricity run through my veins. "Jade, meet my wife, Perry," he said with no facial expressions.

My heart sank, and my mind reeled in shock. Wife? Did he just say wife? I felt like I'd been punched in the gut, it couldn't be real, right? My breath knocked out of me.

"...and Perry, this is Jade, my mate," Alpha Leo continued.

I felt like I was going to collapse. Mate? He's already married, and now he's telling me I'm his mate? Was I even going to play the part of mate or slave? The room began to spin, and I stumbled backward, my eyes fixed on Alpha Leo's as I searched for answers.

But he just stood there, his expression unreadable. Perry, on the other hand, looked like she could kill me at that very point.

“Someone get her out of here!”

A maid approached me, "let's get you settled in, miss," she said, gently guiding me out of the room.

“Why?” I heard Perry's voice.

“Don't worry I just need her for power and after I'd get rid of her.” From the distance I heard alpha Leo murmured.

I couldn't believe my mate would want to kill me.

I was led to a beautiful room, adorned with lavish furnishings and a stunning view of the surrounding forest. But I barely noticed any of it, my mind still reeling from the shock.

I collapsed onto the bed, tears streaming down my face. Why did this have to happen to me? I thought everything would be fine when I found my mate, but it turned out he was already married and planned to only use me to gain power. He saw me as a tool he could use and dump.

As I cried myself to sleep, something didn't feel right.

And then, I felt it. A pillow clamped over my mouth, pressing down on me with an unnatural strength. I tried to struggle, but my body felt heavy, unresponsive.

It pressed down harder, cutting off my air supply. I felt my vision begin to blur, my lungs burning.

And immediately, everything went black.
