CHAPTER 20 Despite my earlier assurance to Liliad I found that Mrs Munroe’s conviction that Lily’s death was no accident played on my mind. I couldn’t risk even the most tenuous of links and therefore decided to dispose of all my hiking gear; an expensive waste but one, in the interests of self-preservation, I was prepared to make.
