CHAPTER 29 I sit by the window gazing out at the manicured garden, Liliad balanced on the window cill next to me. This is the same room that I occupied when Mrs Munroe visited bringing Liliad back, carried in a plastic shopping bag. I wonder what Liliad is thinking as she too gazes out of the window but she doesn’t speak much these days, preferring to keep her thoughts to herself.
