CHAPTER 4 Returning to my apartment I hugged myself with delight, still absolutely thrilled at getting an apartment I so loved but I’d had to use all my cunning and quite a lot of money to acquire it. Sitting in the hospital canteen, just before my discharge I’d overheard Nurse Debbie discussing with a friend an apartment on Cranmer Road that sounded ideal. As part of my rehabilitation I was now allowed out for a few hours unsupervised which gave me the opportunity to contact the agents to arrange an immediate viewing.
