CHAPTER 5 As far as I was concerned the job was the best of the very poor selection on offer and initially I was tempted not to apply. I wasn’t desperate for the money as my parents had recently signed over to me the monies they’d kept in trust for my deceased brother, Matt. It was a considerable sum our parents had intended to give him as a wedding gift. They’d hung onto it in a separate account so it’d accrued quite a bit of interest over the years.
