Sarah Williams had everything a young woman could dream of—wealth, beauty, a powerful family name, and a man she believed she would spend the rest of her life with.

But behind the luxurious mansion and glamorous family business was a web of betrayal she never saw coming.

Her fiancé, Daniel, betrayed her.

Her cousin, Vanessa, secretly envied her.

Her stepmother, Margaret, hid devastating secrets about her past.

And the people Sarah trusted most were working together to take everything that belonged to her.

Then, one terrible night, Sarah discovers the truth.

Before she can expose them, she is involved in a horrific accident and dies.

But death isn't the end.

Sarah wakes up five years in the past—with all her memories intact.

This time, she refuses to make the same mistakes.

She returns to the Williams family mansion determined to uncover every secret before her enemies can destroy her again. She knows who will betray her, who will lie to her, and who will eventually turn against her.

But there is one person she cannot predict.

Adrian Cole.

Cold, powerful and impossible to read, Adrian is the CEO of one of Lagos's most influential companies. Sarah remembers him as a distant man who once appeared at the edges of her life.

But this time, Adrian seems determined to stay close.

As Sarah begins investigating the mysterious circumstances surrounding her mother's disappearance, she discovers that Adrian's family is connected to secrets that go back years.

Her mother's hidden files reveal shocking information about Sarah's birth, the Williams family fortune and a secret trust that could change everything.

Then Sarah discovers something even more frightening:

Her first death wasn't an accident.

Someone ordered it.

And the people responsible have been watching her ever since she returned.

As betrayal, romance, family secrets and corporate power collide, Sarah must decide how far she is willing to go for revenge—and whom she can truly trust.

Because the deeper she digs, the more dangerous the truth becomes.

And the man she is slowly falling for may know more about her past than he has admitted.

When the final secrets are exposed, Sarah will have to confront the people who destroyed her first life and decide what kind of woman she wants to become in her second.

Will she allow revenge to consume her?

Or will she finally choose freedom, love and a future of her own?

She was once the heiress they destroyed.

Now she's back.

And this time, the heiress knows everything.

CHAPTER ONE: THE NIGHT SHE DIED
The rain had been falling for almost two hours. It came down heavily against the tinted windows of the black Mercedes, turning the Lagos highway into a blurred mixture of headlights, wet asphalt, and darkness. Sarah Williams sat in the back seat, staring through the window without really seeing anything. Her fingers were cold. Not because of the air conditioner. Because of what she had just discovered. Her fiancé had betrayed her. Her cousin had betrayed her. And, somehow, the people she had trusted most had been working together to destroy her. Sarah slowly looked down at the phone in her hand. The screen still displayed the message she had received less than thirty minutes earlier. UNKNOWN NUMBER: If you want to know the truth about Daniel and Vanessa, go to the Williams Hotel. Room 1807. Come alone. She had thought it was a joke. At first. Daniel had spent the entire afternoon telling her that he was at a business meeting in Victoria Island. Vanessa had claimed she was visiting a friend. Sarah had believed them. She had always believed them. That was her first mistake. The second message had arrived five minutes later. You deserve to know who your fiancé really is. There had been a photograph attached. Sarah's heart had stopped when she saw it. Daniel. Her Daniel. The man she had loved for four years. His arm was wrapped around Vanessa's waist. And Vanessa was kissing him. Her cousin. Her best friend. The woman Sarah had defended countless times. The woman who had cried on her shoulder whenever she felt lonely. The woman Sarah had trusted enough to stand beside her at her engagement party. Sarah had stared at the photograph until her vision blurred. Then she had gone to the hotel. She should have taken someone with her. She should have called her father. She should have called the police. She should have done anything except walk into that room alone. But betrayal had a strange way of making people reckless. When Sarah entered Room 1807, she found Vanessa sitting on the edge of the bed. Daniel stood beside the window. Neither of them looked surprised to see her. That was when Sarah knew. It had all been planned. "How long?" she had whispered. Daniel didn't answer. Vanessa crossed her arms. "How long what?" Sarah's eyes burned. "How long have you been sleeping with my fiancé?" Vanessa smiled. It wasn't an apologetic smile. It wasn't even an embarrassed one. It was a smile filled with satisfaction. "Almost two years." Sarah felt as though the floor had disappeared beneath her. "Two years?" Daniel finally turned around. "Sarah—" "Don't." Her voice cracked. She lifted the phone and showed him the photograph. "You lied to me for two years." Daniel sighed. "You weren't supposed to find out this way." Sarah laughed bitterly. "Then how was I supposed to find out? After the wedding?" Silence. That silence told her everything. She looked at Vanessa. "You were my family." Vanessa shrugged. "Family doesn't mean anything when you're standing between someone and what they want." "What do you want?" Vanessa's smile widened. "Everything you have." Sarah stared at her. "What?" "The house. The company. The money. The name." Vanessa stepped closer. "You were born into everything, Sarah. You never had to fight for any of it." "And you think sleeping with my fiancé gives you the right to steal my life?" "No." Vanessa tilted her head. "I think you being foolish enough to trust everyone gives me the opportunity." Daniel moved toward Sarah. She stepped backward. "Don't come near me." "Sarah, listen." "How long have you been working with her?" Daniel's expression changed. That was the moment Sarah knew there was more. "What are you talking about?" "I asked you a question." Daniel looked away. Vanessa answered for him. "Long enough." Sarah's heart pounded. "Long enough for what?" Vanessa reached into her handbag and pulled out a folder. She threw it onto the table. Documents scattered across the surface. Sarah picked one up. Her eyes widened. Bank transfers. Company records. Her signature. Transactions she had never authorized. Millions of naira had been transferred from one of the Williams Group accounts into several private accounts. And every transaction carried her electronic authorization. "No." She dropped the document. "This isn't mine." Daniel said nothing. Sarah looked at him. "You forged my signature?" He remained silent. "You forged my signature!" "Keep your voice down." The calmness in his voice frightened her more than anger would have. "Why?" Daniel's face hardened. "Because the company needs a new owner." Sarah stared at him. Then she understood. "This is about my father's company." Vanessa laughed. "Finally." Sarah shook her head. "You can't take it." "Actually," Vanessa replied, "we already have." Sarah's breathing became shallow. "My father would never allow this." "Your father?" Daniel exchanged a look with Vanessa. That look made Sarah's stomach twist. "What happened to my father?" Neither answered. "Where is my father?" Vanessa walked toward her. "He's been sick for months, Sarah." "I know that." "No. You don't." Vanessa lowered her voice. "Your father didn't become sick naturally." Sarah froze. "What did you do?" "We didn't do anything." Vanessa smiled. "Not directly." Sarah stepped away from her. "You are insane." "Maybe." Vanessa's eyes hardened. "But tonight, everything changes." Sarah grabbed her phone. "I'm calling the police." Daniel suddenly seized her wrist. "Don't." She struggled. "Let go of me!" "Listen to me." "No!" She slapped him. The sound echoed through the room. Daniel's face turned slowly toward her. For the first time, Sarah saw the man she had loved disappear. His expression was cold. Empty. He grabbed her arm harder. "You should have stayed ignorant." Sarah eyes filled with tears. "You're going to regret this." Daniel laughed. "No, Sarah." He leaned closer. "You're the one who is going to regret trusting me." --- Twenty minutes later, Sarah was driving through the rain. Alone. She didn't know where she was going. Her father's phone was switched off. Her mother's old number no longer existed. Her lawyer wasn't answering. And the documents she had found at the hotel were still burned into her mind. She had saved copies of everything. Photographs. Bank statements. Messages. Contracts. She knew one thing for certain. She had to get home. Her father had a private safe in his study. If the evidence had been tampered with, perhaps there was something there that could expose them. Sarah tightened her grip around the steering wheel. Her eyes were swollen from crying. The road ahead was almost empty. Rain hammered the windshield. Then her phone rang. She glanced at the screen. Dad. Her heart jumped. She immediately answered. "Dad?" There was silence. "Dad, are you there?" A man's breathing came through the phone. Then a weak voice whispered, "Sarah..." "Dad! Where are you?" "Don't trust..." The call suddenly ended. Sarah's blood ran cold. "Don't trust who?" She called back. No answer. Again. Nothing. Then she saw the headlights. A large truck was coming toward her from the opposite direction. Sarah frowned. Something was wrong. The truck was crossing into her lane. She swerved. The Mercedes skidded across the wet road. Her tires lost traction. "God!" The car slammed into the road barrier. The world spun. Glass exploded around her. Metal twisted. Sarah felt the seat belt cut into her chest. Her head struck the window. Pain exploded through her skull. The car rolled. Once. Twice. Then everything stopped. Silence. Sarah opened her eyes. Smoke filled the vehicle. Blood ran down the side of her face. Her phone lay several feet away. She tried to move. Pain shot through her body. She couldn't. Outside, rain continued to fall. She heard footsteps. Someone was approaching. Sarah's breathing became shallow. A shadow appeared beside the broken window. She couldn't see the person's face. But she heard a voice. A familiar voice. "She's still alive." Another voice answered. "Make sure she doesn't survive." Sarah's eyes widened. She knew that voice. Daniel. A tear slipped from the corner of her eye. So this was their plan. They hadn't simply wanted her company. They hadn't simply wanted her inheritance. They wanted her dead. Her vision blurred. As consciousness slowly left her, one thought burned through her mind. If I get another chance... She closed her eyes. I will never trust you again. And then— Darkness. --- Sarah opened her eyes. She gasped. Her body jerked upright. She was breathing. She touched her chest. No pain. She touched her face. No blood. Her eyes darted around the room. A familiar room. White curtains. Pink walls. A dressing table covered with perfumes. A large mirror. She knew this room. Her childhood bedroom. "No..." Sarah climbed out of bed. Her legs shook. She rushed toward the mirror. The woman staring back at her was young. Much younger. Her face was smooth. Her hair fell over her shoulders. There was no scar above her eyebrow. No bruises. No blood. No sign of the accident. She touched her reflection. "This isn't possible." A knock sounded at the door. Sarah spun around. The door opened. A young woman entered carrying a tray. She smiled. "Good morning, Miss Sarah." Sarah's breath caught. She knew her. It was Grace, the housekeeper who had worked for the Williams family for years. But Grace looked younger. Much younger. "Miss Sarah?" Sarah couldn't speak. She grabbed the phone lying on her bedside table. The date appeared on the screen. June 14, 2021. Her hands began to tremble. "No..." She looked at herself in the mirror again. 2021. Five years before her death. Five years before Daniel betrayed her. Five years before Vanessa stole everything. Five years before the accident. Sarah's heart began pounding. She remembered the date. June 14. The day her father had announced that Daniel would officially join the Williams Group. The beginning of everything. She slowly smiled. But there was nothing innocent about the smile. A tear rolled down her cheek. "God gave me another chance." Grace stared at her in confusion. "Miss Sarah?" Amara wiped her tears. "Nothing." She turned toward the mirror. Her eyes had changed. The frightened young woman who had died on that rainy road was gone. In her place stood someone who knew exactly what was coming. Daniel. Vanessa. Her stepmother. The company. Her father's secrets. Every betrayal. Every lie. Every person who had smiled while destroying her. She remembered all of them. And this time, they wouldn't get away with it. Sarah picked up her phone. She looked at the date one more time. Then she whispered, "Let's see how different the story becomes when the heiress knows the ending." Outside the bedroom, a man's voice suddenly called her name. "Sarah!" Her blood ran cold. She knew that voice. Daniel. He was already here. Sarah slowly turned toward the door. Then she smiled. "Perfect." Her second life had begun.
